@Ed: Really? They did that?

I wouldn't know, I didn't play GoW2.

I'm fairly sure Illiad came after Hesiod's works, though.

Mr Crawley
YEAH WELL... I still didn't want to spend all that money. All so I can satisfy everyone's whining that I should do more social stuff instead of.. y'know. Wisely saving money.

Social stuff is important, but so is saving money. 3nodding

Outside of Clothos (one of the Fates) chamber in GoW 2. There are three scenes depicted in like..slates or some s**t.

One is of the great war between the titans and Olympus raging on, another of a lone man surveying the carnage around him, and the last is of three men headed for a star overlooking a town.

GOD OF WAR: MODERN WARFARE 2

RAMIREZ, STRANGLE THOSE HARPIES

Or Kratos comes back and starts killing the Judeo-Christian mythology.

Well...huh. Ain't that something.

So, essentially, God of War gave the Greek gods the Ragnarok treatment.

I guess it's a lot better than the ending other had in mind. In original Greek antiquity it's just said that, around some point, the gods just decided they'd all stop meddling in the world of mortals and kinda just vanished.

Homer is generally considered to be a bit older than Hesiod, but they're around about the same time, really. In fact, if you assume he's older than Herodatus claims, he's a couple hundred years before Hesiod because some people think Homer was alive during the Trojan War.

The Illiad (and the books before it that we never found that actually go over the nine year siege of Troy) is probably the earliest literary work of the Western World, followed by the Odyssey, and then Hesiod's works.

EDIT:: Also, Moros = end of all the Greek gods. And everything else too, eventually.

In Marvel all the 'Gods' of various ancient pantheons are actually aliens.

It's hilarious.

Social stuff is no where near as important as having the money to fund things.

Especially educational things.

All these chumps I'm gonna hang with tonight (with the exception of Setto) I can hang with at a later time when there aren't more pressing things to attend to. And if I can't.. then other chumps will take their place.

SKRULL INVASION. That is how I will explain everything in Reiko's history I want to fix.

@Darth: Hmmm...I guess it leads one to wonder why Odysseus and Achilles had no part to play in it, other than God of War simply relying on the works of Hesiod.

Otherwise I'm sure that we would have heard mention of Menelaus with all the Sparta stuff. Then again, for all I know they did that and I never saw.

God of War at least takes place after the the story of Hercules. Then again it's probably useless to try and factor Homer into God of War.

@Ed: Didn't they do that with Stargate?

Agreed. We always have money put aside.
Education is very important. That should come before socializing.

I need to play God of War 3. I haven't played any of the series except for the PSP game.

I'd like to see his fight with Hades, just because I constantly imagine what it'd be like if it was Kratos vs James Woods Hades.
