Nala flipped over onto her other side to reach a new space of cool rock to rest on. What was left of the brief little sickness she had had past and left only a vague uncomfortable warmth now and then. She had been cooped up inside the den for quite sometime under the warning that venturing outsite at that particular moment in time would be very dangerous to her.
Now that it seemed everyone was getting better, her longing for the outdoors increased exponentially and her paws jittered with the thought of romping through the grass.

((I'll about face Muffy back to the caves as soon as I finish with Koho, kay Dragonz :3 ))
"Mmmm.." -A soft thoughtful sound escaped the king. It'd been along time since such an important decision rested upon his head.. and though he'd already granted permission to the brash male, this line of questioning made him face his thoughts more clearly. Sorting the question, he began to pick at them slowly, one by one.-
"The young one, was Mwali's nephew.. the heir left to the Firekin throne. Even the young there see him as a traitor, and that's why the fight occured."
-What he thought of Mwali? My wasn't that a loaded question? Thinking aloud he replied delicately, quite unthrilled with the thought of possibly upsetting his sister with his words.- "I think.. that he's young, and acts young. Quick to make a decision, thinking he can take on the world, brash and yet one who promises without thought of consequence.. But then.. everyone has their faults."
"He's strong, and he's unlike many of the Firekins.. as he obviously cares for quite a few of our pride." -Pausing for a moment, he cast a gentle look to her, a hint of true sincerity touching his voice.- "I think that he couldn't be a rouge if he tried.. he needs someone.. something. You will help him keep his head in the desert, yes?"
"He's promised his life to protect those that are going with him.. but I can guarentee he wouldn't make it back without the rest of you. Are you really ready to do what you have to Koho?" -The whole thing for a moment brought back thoughts of his own past.. Brazen and quick too.. sneaking in to avenge his father with the same sort of foolhearty dreams as the Firekin male."
"I wouldn't stop you or any of the others from following the fate that you've choosen for yourself, and what's left of the pride here, will keep things together until the lot of you return."
-Listening to himself softly, he couldn't help but smirk a little.... he sounded so much like an old man, no wonder that Firekin cub had detested his speech. Nearing the golden lioness gently, he brushed his cheek affectionately against her neck, before motioning back towards the large shadow of the pride rocks.- "Had someone else been predetermined, I'd still have choosen Sarabi. Something about her... makes me miss her when she's not around. Makes me wonder what she'd think about what I'm doing. Makes me hope that she's thinking of me as often as thoughts of her linger through my mind. If that's the way that you feel for the rogue... then by all means.. I'll predetermine all you like."

Sarabit lay down on a warm rock, wearied after even that light exercise. Her eyes drifted half closed and her mind wandered into the past. Mufasa was gone with Taka, her bethrothed... chased away by the two rogues that had killed the king... Fear and pain, near slavery to the rogues... hiding her budding growth in fear of attracting their attention... Sarabi curled inward in a defensive position, her old fears rising up to over take her in the weakness of the fever.

The male listened and then nodded softly to her question, giving a small smirk before bowing his head slightly to her like she was a princess. He remembered the first day he met her and he treated almost like royalty and he just thought it would be fun to act like that just for a moment to remember when he had met her.
"Why ofcourse m'lady!"
He said, struggling to hold back a small chuckle before his eyes rested on the carcass and he took a strong hold of the zebras back leg, damn it was heavy, but not so heavy that his new found teenage muscles couldn't handle it.
Sukutu took a small look up at Jasiri and waited for her to point out nthe direction in where she wanted to drag it.

[I've returned ; ; <3]
Teule licked his teeth, maw scrunching as he tried to remove a small bone wdged between two fangs. A dragonfly whipped past him, his hair trigger relflexes making snap at it. His teeth found a wing and stopped the dragonfly in midflight, the fly buzzing around by his lips. Spitting the dragonfly out it zoomed away and the bone fell from his teeth. Teule sighed in relief and shook his head, long white locks falling over his eyes.
His training had been long and uncharacteristicly brutal. Taka had decided it time to take him on a hunting trip, teaching him all she knew and more. She had trained him in the way of her cheetah tribe, a dangerous and tiring hunt that would go on for days. The training had not only included hunting techniques but also fighting. On their excursion they had encountered many a foe; hyena to rouge lions to jackals and more. Now the ivory lion had matured, his body had lost his baby fluff and had thinned out more. Muscles were clear on the young cub, soon to be juvenile, and he had acquired some battle scars from his training though most were hidden.
"Uch, finally that stupid bone came out. From the stupid vulture wing..."
Taka snorted in amusement, tail swishing back and worth as she trotted onwards. The cheetah's golden coat seemed to fade moreso to white as it got to her legs and tip of her tail; her spots seemed a bit lighter aswell. Her eyes, commonly sparked with humour, seemed tired with the long venture. The feline's silver mane curled to the side bya flurry of wind, her nose raising up to catch any scents nearby. Snorting again, she glanced sideway at Teule, watching him shake his head again, unsure about the lengthened tufts of fur on his head.
"I can smell our friends nearby..Ey', d'you forget to tell them we were leaving?"
She wrinkled her nose as she watched Teule pause and grin sheepishly at her. Taka's face faulted and popped him in the head with her paw. Ugh..

"Lets bring it right over there near the others so they can..." Jasiri stopped in mid sentace, staring at the horizon at two shapes coming closer to them. She sniffed the air, and knew immdiatley who it was. They were back! Jasi dropped the caracas, and running at full speed, she knocked Teule over in the soft prideland grass laughing. She had to admit, it had become harder to knock the mucley bulk over, but that didnt stop her. "Teule, Taka! Ive missed you so!." She nibbled on Tuele's ear affectionaly, and hopped off him, her face getting more serious. "I have...much to tell you." Her eyes landed down towards the grownd. She knew the new's of Mwali's pride would be a big blow to them also, as it was to hers...but what would they think of her leaving? She shook her head.

The adolescent watched Jasiri suddenly run off only to smirk at the sight of the juvenille white male that he had met before, he continued to drag it the rest of the way, asontishingly getting their gradualy before he dropped a metre away from them and ran over to the group.
He almost seemed to tackle Teule before he stopped right infront of him and mussed up his fringe playfully, only to smirk at him and then smooth it out afterwards.
"What's up little dude...I haven't seen you in forever..." He said in a playful voice, only for his playfulness to cease at Jasiri's words and for him to mellow slightly.

Grinned as he saw a russet blur running towards him followed by a second. 'Jasi & Sukutu...' Teule let out a weak laugh as he was tackled to the ground. Man, she was strong. He licked her cheek in return, pushing her off playfully and hopping to his paws again. Teule couldn't express the joy he felt when he had saw her again. He wondered where Wokovu and his mom were. And Mwali! His hero would have to see how good a hunter he was now.
"I missed you guys too. Man, it's been long...What's..what's wrong, Jasi?"
Teule tilted his head worriedly, noting the drop in tone. His voice had earned a few deeper notes himself while he was gone. He grinned shortly to Sukutu, giving him a nod of acknowledgement.
Taka twicthed a bit as the sudden rush of brown fur ascended upon Teule, She snickered and knelt down a bit, licking her cheek while still laughing. Taka's maw pursed slightly as she checked herself. Alot to tell and obviously it wasn't good. Taka sighed, she thought they'd be safe here, free from problems. It seemed the problems were just beginning though.
"What's the matter Jasi?"

Jasiri took a deep breath. It wasnt going to be as hard as it was the first time, but it still felt like there were rocks in her chest. "Mwali's father and brother have died in a plauge, leaving no heir except Kiu's children, who are only young juvinilles at the time. We are going to travel back to the Firekin to help care for Kinja's and Kiu's children, and sort things out. One of the kids are here with us, and will be traveling with us back to his mother." Her eyes glanced up at the two. How would they take it? Hopefully, not as bad as Mwali. Actully, Jasi thought, Mwali was acting very brave for taking on such a responsibility. She only hoped she could help in the situation.

Wokovu slowly slunk around a few rocks, ears perking up as he head the familiar voices of his long lost "pride" Quickly trotting over to the group, he still held the playful innocence he had held as a cub, "Tuele! Jasi!" he grinned, tail holding itself up straight and wagging back and forth a bit. He looked nothing like a firekin, even his brother held a firekin look about him, and personality.. He lost his vigor when he noticed the more downcast expression of the group, ploppin ghis rear to the stone. "Did i miss something?"

"He killed his own family?" Kimeti asked in disbelief. How could one kill a family member. Yes true, he had attacked Mwali but he didn't have any intentions of killing his uncle. That thought of such a thing was appalling to the young lion, but as Mwali listed more of Makadari's unhonorable deeds and thoughts Kimeti pushed the ever taunting voice of his grandfather from his head. He wanted nothing to do with the former ruler.
"Wait..." He looked at Mwali. "I don't think of them as under me." He paused momentarily to gather his thoughts about the whole situation. "You weren't a traitor in my eyes for leaving with non firekin cubs, but,w ell, because you left the pride in such a way. You didn't say a single word to anyone before you left except mother and she speaks little of it."

[@-@ omg I drew an anthro Teule and Taka in Swahili clothes and stuff xD]
"I see...When are you living?"
His voice was low and concerned, poor Mwali must've took it hard. Family dead. He was thankful he had never met his own family but the pain of his friends dying would probably feel the same. His eyes lighted as he spotted Wokovu, instantly rushing up to him and catching his ear in greeting.
"Hey bro..."
Taka's face was blank in thought, thinking about the Firekin king and prince. Her tail stilled and her nose wrinkled considerably. She hadn't been here for them. For poor Mwali. He probably held a guilt that ne didn't need. Taka dropped her head in shame before mumbling something under her breath and then raising it regally.
"We'll go with you."

"You have to understand why I did leave in the manner that I did leave in...you see our pride isn't as honorable as you think. It's history is written in blood. When I came here you wouldn't believe the reaction I got just because my pelt's red. There was so much fear and hate in the eyes of the pridelanders that I almost felt like turning myself around and testing my fate in the desert." He took a slow breath, turning to look at the wound in his leg. It was bleeding- he hadn't really noticed it till then since his coat did a good enough job hiding any cuts really. With a sigh he turned back to his nephew, curling his tail over the cuts to hide them, "If I would have announced that I was going to leave, my father would have killed me... and if not him the huntress lionesses would have. The fact that I- a prince- was leaving was bad enough, but the fact that I was helping slaves escape in the process..." He shook his head slowly, "I am a trator in their eyes. The way you reacted is probibly merciful in the way I'm expecting them to react.... but even if it means my life I'm going to do what's right for our family." He laid his head down onto his paws, his body felt weaker somehow in light of all this, "If anything, that's the only quality of a king that I do have."

Kimeti hung his head as Mwali spoke while sitting down on the cool rock. His eyes caught the sudden movement of the older lion's tail and noticed where it placed and felt guilty for causing any harm to the lion. As his mind dwelled on what Mwali was saying something sparked in his mind.
"Mother..." He muttered quietly before whipping his head up. "With mother being the reigning queen she will be able to protect you, but... I don't know how long she'll be on the throne. After loosing father she has fallen down in spirit and I've heard her speaking to herself about giving up the throne to one of the older lionesses." Kimeti got up and began pacing, eyes to the ground. "If we can get back to the pride before she gives up then you will be safe and we can keep the pride from falling back into the past that you speak of. I don't want to live in a pride like you have, ruled by blood, slavery and death and I am sure mother and my sister don't either."

"Your mother doesn't deserve the responsability... she's--- well she wasn't born into it. It shouldn't be her burden to shoulder." He took a deep breath, turning his head slightly to spot the others. He could see their forms on the distance. How many would he be forced to leave behind this time? How many new family would he have to abandon in the shadow of this new event. He didn't even want to dwell on it. Turning back he seemed to be starring off again, "As soon as the others return, we'll eat, drink, and be on our way. I won't have them waiting long." He pushed his massive bulk up to his paws and made his way from the mouth of the cave- feeling no real need to block if from the little prince. He limped slightly but did his best to conciel it. Finding a cool patch of stone he settled himself onto it and laid himself with his back to the others. His face twisted in an expression of grief, sorrow, and most of all-worry.
