MasturChef Okay, so this is something that has been bugging me forever. Where exactly is the Barton Manor located? By the sounds of a few posts ("wandering out of the woods with a Manor in the distance" or something to that effect) it sounds like it's located outside of Barton Town proper. But I'm not 100% sure. I am theorizing Barton Manor, with implied foliage, would be in the Northwest corner of town along its border or overlapping the border. that way it should make sense with it being close enough for someone to run to it, but it not be too inside of town for normal residents to stumble upon it a lot. Is that a good idea?

Is that a good idea? Don't forget, Barton Manor is in a hilly area that overlooks a lot of the town. I probably should have put this in the Barton Chronicles story about summoning Cae, but the hill area BFAA searched to find the ancient temple was part of a bigger complex that is actually linked all under the hill area and Barton Manor. The true center of this underground complex will be right under the manor and is where the great sanctuary/archive is with lots of tunnels and passages leading off to other areas, including the temple where BFAA summoned Cae. That is why I can envision Chef saying "What?! We spent weeks trying to find an entrance to the temple in the hills when we could have just gotten there from a passage under the manor? What is this?!?!"

What is this?!?!" Ah! That's something I simply forgot about. >.< Well since Barton has no real hilly areas, I think it's safe to say the Manor is just outside? It's hard to go off of the basic world map because they lack detail and all the man-made features on it are way too large in scale compared to the actual geography. (Though the Towns 2 world map looks somewhat better and has more detail. Personally, I like the wooded areas to the northwest, northeast, and south of the town, as well as the area to the northeast of Barton Housing.)

Yeah, in some ways I'm going off of the T2 maps more since they do have more detail like you said. Maybe someone just needs to take a screen shot of the map area they think the manor is located in and pencil in the manor or at least say "Barton Manor is Here". Anyhow, looks like you and me are up on deck for posting now, but I can't do anything tonight. I have to be up super early tomorrow, so no posts from me until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.

Well I circled a few locations where I think the manor is located (because circling stuff is about the extent of my artistic ability with a computer xD). Obviously there isn't much detail on the map that shows a sort of hilly area within a reasonable distance of Barton except for maybe a few areas of the Village Greens in between Barton Town and Barton Housing. Yeah, I won't be able to post until at least tomorrow afternoon either. I'll be starting on my Terra-Aeris dialogue eventually, but I'm waiting a bit on Cae to get a Chef-related post out.
