Overcoming loss? She's done a lot of that. Right after she moved out of her parents house when leaving home, her mom passed away. If that wasn't a kick in the face to say shame on you for leaving, she didn't know what was.

Her dad spiraled into depression. Blamed her. Said she was the reason her mom died. She died of a broken heart.

She was convinced her mom died of a broken heart because of her. But that wasn't going to let her stop what she was doing.

She'd already put a down payment on a house. She was leaving. Her dad would live. This was the balance of life.

[ ROUND 2 - 1 HP / 40 HP ] (POST THE CORRECT HP)

She decided to smash every mirror she saw before it started to make others' mood worse. The rabbit girl raised up her weapon and targeted on a shining mirror but what inside it tempted her to stop. It was the first time she saw herself inside one of these mirrors.

"Have you make up your mind?" A cold voice asked. They were at an office piled up with towers and towers of reports.

"Yes. I will take it as long as you keep your promise." She said with a serious tone, looking at her supervisor with a determined face.

"Sign your name here. You should know we won't guarantee your safety." The cold voice tapped on something and then got back to his paperwork.

"Yes Sir, I fully understand." She sighed her name on a contract like paper after taking a deep breathe, she knew what she was gonna face.

If this would keep them safe, she won't hesitate even in the cost of her life. She knew she might not be able to come back anymore, but everything was prepared and they could take care each other without a problem. "Sorry Z, you might have to find another partner." She giggled as she knew he was saying that to cheer her up.

The mirror burst at the same time when she walked out the door.

I forgive you, Dad. Those were the words she said to him right before he left. He'd come to see Mom's grave, and luckily, she'd been there that day too. It was cloudy. And she had meant to go to his house. But she had a feeling he wouldn't answer if she did.

So she waited. It was the anniversary of Mom's death. He'd be there. If he wasn't, it'd be a horrible travesty for him to miss. She'd wait, and then let him say hi in peace. Which she did, when he finally showed up.

But right before he got up to leave after seeing her walking towards him, she stopped him.

I forgive you.

She blinked. Everyone was dead. Harlem couldn't speak to her. His voice was dead in her mind. Her weapon had stopped glowing. Chris was dead. Dory was dead. Everyone she'd met while at Deus was dead. A single tear streamed down her face.

Everyone was dead.

Dead.

[ POST 1 - Spinar Death Solo ]

He would not stay, Spinar's eyes rolled at the queens words. He had survived all this, and even more there was no way he would- but then she spoke again. An overwhelming presence the Queen was, and in an instant he was lost to her. Drawn to her voice and held by her sadness. It clawed at his being and pulled him closer, his slowed steps seemed not to matter as his body dragged closer. It was then that it hit him, game over, he couldn't fight her, he couldn't win.

Everything was- ...Hopeless.

Slowly he had been petrifying, dying already, with no way around it. So there was no way out, none. Even Rosy was gone now, was she already dead. Spinar's eyes widened at the thought, she could be dead and he was powerless to even see her one last time. Why..it-it wasn't fair. Panic set in as he felt the last of himself get lost to the queen and her pull. Caged. His emotion and himself, Spinar blinked lifelessly ahead.

Then through the nothingness came a snap, clarity. Regaining himself Spinar let out a gasp, his pale blues shooting to 'his savior'. No. It was a puppet, the puppet? Had it come here to replace him, had he died and just not realized it yet? On a chance he pinched his arm and winced, no he was alive still but why was the puppet here, how had it stopped everything in just an instance. Why moreover? Spinar stared on as the other came to him, a look of confusion upon his face as the other finally spoke out.

"I know everything," the replica said, its face softening in a way his own rarely did. "All your memories, everything you've gained in this dream. I am your container." His container, so he was here to, Spinar's brow wrinkled in time with the replica's. It to was becoming frustrated, trying to explain things to him. "I see, you are here to take over my spot." Spinar drawled, but didn't question to hard, it was clear by what was said next. "That's right." His replica, its smirk formed to match the one he wore then slowly it brought up his weapon. "Goodbye. " It said and was met with a snickering, "we're not saps." Spinar's eye closed, his chest impaled then with a swift clean motion he was split up and out of existence.

Nothing more than a disappearing act.

[ REPLICA VERSION: FlukeFiend]

He had killed his other, but he knew not to be worried as the other was much safer now. Now that he was safe, it was time for him to take his own place. Created as a sacrifice, he knew exactly what needed to be done as he stepped forward. A sense of confidence to his stride for knowing he was strong enough to cage the White Queen. Though with his strength came sadness, he was going to die and no matter how much that sucked it had to be. A being such as himself had no place to defy his orders, "you'll regret this.." He chuckled going willingly as the White Queen started to consume him since there was nothing he could do about it.

Nothing to do but what he had been created to do, and so he went.

During the end flashes of memories danced before his eyes, pieces that brought out more emotions. Happy emotions, ones that made him wonder if living might be worth a struggle, worth attempting to go against things. But then sadness loomed in on the beautiful pieces, death would it hurt? He closed his eyes, mind racing with several thoughts then back again to the moment. They were all leaving him, every feeling every sight, but he knew this would happen, it was what he had been created for after all. When the last piece of 'them' was torn away he remained, lifeless but present. The perfect sacrifice that never was but had been and was complete none the less.

[ POST 1 - Lute Death Solo ]

The White Queen was fading. Pieces of her crumbled and from them bloomed a cage, a rather terrifyingly elegant cage. Lute's eyes widened slightly when realizing she was trapped within the cage herself. Her knees trembled weakly when the Queen spoke out to them. Telling them that their legacy was to end here, that for Grief's rebirth they would be consumed. Lute's eyes shut tightly, her fingers gripping tightly to her weapon. No, she didn't want to go out like this, not this, not now. Everything had jut started to look up..

But now, as the a sense of overwhelming sadness and hopelessness took over that look up dimmed liked the light around them.

She felt defeated, weaker than normal and disgusting. She felt herself and the cage shrink at the impending doom sank in, tears flowed from her eyes and ran the length of her slightly chubby cheeks. There was nothing she could do, nothing any of them could do and it felt ...horrible. As the feeling of dark tendrils clawing at her came Lute whimpered out, though the sound didn't pause the drag towards the Queen. The feel of death was this it she questioned as her eyes screwed tightly shut, the sound of her own heart beating violently the only relief she knew as panic set in. On a sighed breath she released herself to death, there was nothing to do but this.

Acceptance made she waited, only to hear a snap that brought her eyes flying open with it.

A door had appeared behind the queen, her cage had fallen and within those few precious moments Lute regained herself and scrambled away. One by one faces of familiar creeple started to pour from the door and then in her panicked alone state something magical happened, a warmth touched her hand and she wasn't alone anymore. "B-but you.." She drawled slowly staring into her own face with a clear confusion. Finally the replica spoke, telling her that it knew all and that it would be ok. Accepting this peacefully Lute gave a smile to the other, "we will be strong together. " She murmured, the replica simply smiled before lifting their weapon and cutting her down, "thank you."

Then it was over, her nightmare of being stuck in a nightmare. No pain only peace came with her fading.

[ REPLICA VERSION: Gabriel Santiago]

She was the replica, with her original now killed half of her 'life' was nearly complete. She had made sure the original was safe and now the only thing left was the Queen. Gabriel Santiago slowly turned to take in the Queen, or what was left of her. She was a sacrificial container, and as she took a step forward she had to remind herself of this. Remind herself that she was strong, stronger than the original and strong enough to cage the White Queen. On a smile she readied herself and silenced her faintly questioning mind.

Then her footsteps brought her in closer, closer to the queen, and as she stepped up her strength came to light via in memories. Lovely, lovely memories of what a life was. But more importantly, they were, their memories, all of them the sad the happy and the angry ones. Each held a special place to her and each made her wonder briefly if life was worth fighting her goal for. But in the end, her wish for more was overridden by duty. Selfishness aside, she stayed with the Queen, being consumed into her and the cage with each 'breath'.

On her last burst of 'strength', everything became nothing and then it was over. Her duty fulfilled, purpose served and the Queen locked at bay. It was over, even with how brief it was and for that nothing was welcomed.

[ Aezeloth Death Solo ]

Was there really no hope? Zel wasn't sure, they'd come so far, fought so hard to try and defeat this final queen. He'd been petrifying, slowly, knowing that his end would be coming soon. He'd been attacked by other survivors - not on purpose, obviously, such was the White Queen's trickery. Was it hopeless? Zel could not recall a situation that felt so. The sorrow, the grief in his failure, was palpable. He could taste the bitter pill on his tongue. He was ready to give up - ready to let the last vestige of this reality slip away, and submit to the end.

It was the only choice right?

But then there was a door. A door that opened and with it hope. He had not seen the replicas behind the door. He had not known of their existence - but now he was glad. Perhaps the tide would turn.

His own sought him out, she smiled, wrly, as he reached out to clapse it's offered hand.

"I know everything," it said to him, its voice painfully familiar. "All your memories, everything you've gained in this dream. I am your container."

"Jack, do I really sound like that?" Zel winced, making a face for a moment as he disliked the sound of his own voice for a moment, but only for a moment.

"No matter, what now?" Zel asked his replica, wondering what exactly his container would do.

"I will take your place and you will be free," the replica said. "That is my duty, and my purpose. I will save you now." It raised it's weapon, his weapon.

"Thank you," Were the last words that Zel recalled hearing as the weapon came down, staving his skull clean through and plunging him into the murky blackness of death.

Death was, not as horrible as he had thought it might be. A warmth enveloped him as he slowly felt his consciousness fade. He felt every moment, every memory drifting away into the ephemeral darkness around him, until only one thought remained.

Xyra - Xy - he wondered if she'd managed to make it into the game, and if so, was she experiencing this same fate? He hoped not. He died with a smile on his lips, his last memory that of his oldest and most trusted friend.

Then there was only the Replica...
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2014 2:14 pm

[ Replica - HDM Solo ]

He waited until the smile faded from Zel's face before removing his weapon. It was done. The original was safe and that's all that mattered. He was a sacrifice, a copy - a good copy - but a copy nonetheless. He pivoted smoothly and turned to face the queen, weapon still drawn as he remembered.

All the memory's came rushing back to him - happy ones, sad ones, angry ones, confused and perplexed ones. Joy, grief... Feelings - real ones. A wry smile came to his lips as he stepped forward.

The Queen may take him, but that was his purpose. He would sacrifice himself, so that others need not be lost.

"I did always want to die a hero," He laughed, a thrill of excitement running down his spine with a pleasant shiver.

"Well then, Queenie, let's end this shall we?"

The cage about the queen shrunk, and so did he. She took, but he gave, even as he was stripped down to the very last core, even as the panic began to set in, he did so with a manic sort of glee.

You died a hero, or you lived long enough to become a coward.

He was no coward.

As he merged with the cage, as the grief became to overwhelming to hold at bay, his last, purely sentient thought - was the regret that nobody could see his part in this joyous victory. Then, he was gone.

[ Darren Death Solo ]

Was this how he was supposed to die?! Panic drove deep into his chest, he wanted to week, to claw and beg and plead for a quick and merciful descent into darkness. Was he going to be torn apart, to be used as fodder for a cage to contain that they had fought so hard against? He wanted to sob, but his heart wasn't in it.

He thought of SP, of the promise they had shared - it would never be.

Then there was a door, and with it, a glimmer of hope in the dark. He saw his replica, striding toward him, full of purpose - full of vigor.

"I know everything," it said, in a way that made him smile. "All your memories, everything you've gained in this dream. I am your container."

"It is my duty, to take your place. My purpose, to ensure that you may live." It smiled at him, warm, content.

"Thank you," Darren said, with a weak smile.

"No, Thank you." The replica said, drawing it's weapon and spearing him through the heart.

Darren felt no pain - no remorse at this ending. This, this was freedom. Perhaps he would be able to SugarPuss' player on the other side, when he awoke - if he awoke. Perhaps another dream awaited.

His only hope, as he faded, slowly out of existence and drifted away into the darkness. Was that his sister be spared this fate - that she not be present for this moment.

Then the light in his eyes was gone, and so was he.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2014 2:15 pm

[ Replica - WMS Solo ]

The weapon was removed once the light went out of Darren's eyes. The replica nodded it's thanks again to the body of it's original. It had a duty, it had a purpose. It knew those words well. Memory upon memory had beaten it into the very core of its being. It smiled then, and turned to face the Queen.

It would die so Darren may live. The ultimate duty - the final purpose. True duty, was dying for others.

Of course there was regret. He had latest memories of Darren - of his desire to get to know SugarPuss. Of his insecurities, of his need to have a purpose. He had purpose, but that did not mean he did not regret never knowing what could be.

He was therefore surprised, yet also not, when SugarPuss' replica sought him out, and embraced him. If the end were to be with her - well - then the end wouldn't be so bad then would it.

Better to die together, than die alone.

So the replica of Darren Vaughn, known as WalkingMeatShield, clung tightly to the replica known as SugarPuss. Even as they were compressed, even as their very existence was stripped away.

Because what was the point of even being - if you couldn't be with those you cared about.

The last regret of WMS, was that he never got to know SugarPuss' real name.

Then, he was gone, once more a part of Grief.

[ Death Solo - Delphyne]

Injured and slowed down by whatever effect the Queen had on her, she watched as the mirrors began to crack around her, shards of glass falling onto the ground at her feet. They cracked and shattered, and in their wake even the Queen seemed to be disappearing. Delphyne struggled now to get to her, so she could drive her blade into Grief's heart and bring an end to this game. She didn't care if it was the end of herself too, she just wanted the White Queen to be taken down as well! But, Delphyne could hardly move, and white vines extended towards her, twisting and weaving to forge an ornate cage.

She tried to hurry to the edge, to make it out before she was closed in, but she was far too slow. Her body wouldn't respond to her own will! The Queen spoke up, and Delphyne looked down at herself in horror, realizing that piece by piece, she was disappearing. The tips of her fingers were gone, and suddenly she felt weak and scared, inconsolably sad. The undead dropped down onto her knees, tears in her eyes that refused to fall down her pale cheeks. Delphyne couldn't fight back now, didn't want to. Her sadness was so great that acting out simply wasn't possible. It was better to resign herself to her fate now and slowly disappear - there was nothing she could do about it anyways.

Delphyne had no idea how long she sat there, but suddenly the cage around her shattered with a sharp sound, scattering into white fragments. Lifting her head, she suddenly felt the weight of grief leave her, and she struggled back onto her feet, backing up and away from the Queen with every last ounce of her will. No, she didn't want to be consumed! She didn't want to die like this!

The door behind the White Queen swung open, and she recognized the puppets marching out from the new opened door. These were the ones they had unwittingly discovered - where they here to aid the Queen? Their purpose was clear, to be replacements for them. So she would be consumed, and somehow they would make it back to her body? It didn't make sense, and Delphyne was confused and frightful.

She found herself, and two matching sets of blue eyes met. "Thank you," the voice was soft, but earnest, "and goodbye." The replica lifted up the sword, her sword, and plunged it into Delphyne's chest. She barely had a chance to realize she was dying, that this was the end. Delphyne's thoughts faded away, painlessly, easily. Simply gone.
