More talk from The Voice ... What would she gain by reaching the end? Sigrún had to think while she carried on...what would she gain?....one word came to mind.. Closure.

Ever onwards she went, even as all her instincts begged her to stop, turn around and leave this wretched Tower. But if the Voice could not make her leave, then neither could her instincts. So on she went.

Ya would you look at that more stairs to climb, Tori thought to herself as she rolled her eyes at herself for even thinking that. She did have to wonder just how many more stairs she would have to climb as it was still getting ever so harder the higher she got.

Once again Tori heard what the Voice was saying and it was just too loud. Did it ever hear of keeping it voice down without shouting, she thought even if hearing the voice this time was strange even if it was loud. Oh she so remember her own kingdom and she was really hating what the Voice had said, why keep on reminding her. But what it had said just made her more determined to get to the top even if she was just a fragment, she just wanted to make a difference some how.

The threshold to the next floor was in view and his pace did not change. Maple was nowhere in sight, the others behind him were in much physical exhaustion as he was. The Voice had to be close now, his pathetic desparation was proof of that. As he approached, he did not see stairs...

Crossing that threshold, he didn't see anything

[[Exiting]]

"If you tread further, then you will see only disappointment." There was a weary and resentful tone to the Voice now, she felt. "I wish only for one True King. I do not wish for anything else. What will you gain from reaching me other than what you already know?

Wished only for one True King, indeed - and bugger everyone else, yes? That was not the kind of being she'd like to have in control of her life. If the Voice could even be categorized as a being; it was certainly sentient, but from what the pillar had told her, it was nothing but an object of power. Too much power, in her opinion. Nothing and no-one had any business having the ability to toy with false realities like this.

But perhaps it spoke true and, indeed, there was nothing to gain from reaching the end of the Tower. Still, it was not a risk she was willing to take; she was certain that the Voice would say and do just about anything to turn them back to the ignorant little pawns they'd been, and therefore nothing it said was to be trusted. Certainly not if it appeared to be something gainful to its own cause; no, she'd brave the Tower and take her chances. She needed to pay back the white pillar for what it had told her and the extra chance it had given her, anyhow, and that meant seeing this to its end. Whatever that might be.

Sighing some as Tori stopped for a second to clear her thoughts as her body kept on complaneing so much. Looking forward as she still had many stairs to climb and mustered her body to continue forward up more of those stairs.

Yet another side of the Voice, as Tori listened to what it had to say as it did sound tired just like she did but she still wanted to continue forward. Tori did roll her eyes at the Voice as there could be more that your not telling us and wont admit, she thought and she wanted to know if there really was. The Voice wasn’t going to stop her now as she had come so far for just being a fragment, there had to be more she kept on telling herself as she took each step one at a time upward. She just wanted to know more of the truth if there was any more.
