JOUSTIN' He was getting cocky, and maybe that's why his wolf faltered a little bit. But they were so close! He couldn't let up now.
"Come on!"
Suddenly, they were upon the target and Julian rammed his lance home into it, letting his wolf run a bit farther, slowing her down gradually to a stop. When she finally did, he relaxed his grip and scratched her behind the ears.

JOUSTIN'
Sepheran was a bit unsure at first as he got on his spider mount, but the beast beneath him didn't seem to mind much at all. This relaxed him enough to pick up his lance. It was a bit heavier then expected but the basilisk boil managed to get a semi-decent grip as he kicked his mount forward lightly. The spider went forward with relative ease. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all...

JOUSTIN'
The island was... well... amazing. Imryn had never seen some of the things that they had living there on the Island, and the all the lush greenery was beautiful. Still, her perfect setting was something more like the Isle of Death, but this held a charm all it's own. And their mounts! Knowing that each one was unique only made her want to stick around a bit longer and see what some of the others looked like. Well if she actually trusted the Horsemen that is.
The jousting however... well... she wasn't all that thrilled about. She had a hard enough time as it was just fighting on her own, but now to also deal with her wolf and a pointy stick? Sooo not fun. But she got in line with everyone else and got ready to start on down the field.

Slowly but surely Sepheran was making him way forward, and surprisingly his mount was listening to him well. The beast even helped him by steadying him when he thought his grip on his lance was starting to fail. He was glad to have gotten this mount, he had always been friends with spiders.

Forward they continued to march, the spider and him seeming to be in sync with each other. Sepheran continued to keep hold of his lance despite the heaviness of it.

Sepheran's tarantula was still moving forward, but the heaviness of the lance made Sepheran's grip loosen slightly tilting the lance downward at a dangerous level. Putting force into his arm made the lance return to the right position but it took some energy out of him.

Suddenly the spider picked up it's pace, steadily moving forward. The sudden shift in speed however cause Sepheran to start to lose his grip on his lance, especially after the last time. Somehow he just barely managed to keep hold, though he lost even more strength. If things didn't start getting better he might drop the lance itself!

As if sensing Sepheran's troubles the spider slowed down a moment, moving forward still but at a slower pace. With a little extra stability Sepheran managed to pull up his lance once more setting it neatly under his arm at his side allowing him to build some more power. With his free hand Sepheran lightly patted his mount in thanks.

They were about halfway now and Sepheran couldn't take his eyes off his target. He was unsure exactly how it was going to respond to his attack...but it was just a dummy right? The slight lapse in concentration made his power stall a moment before he pulled himself back together. He should just keep focusing on moving forward.

Onward the two marched, but Sepheran just couldn't shake that odd feeling that something was going to go wrong...after all...something always goes wrong. But then again they weren't in Amityville and the clans seemed powerful enough, maybe it was all just in his head...either way his thoughts hindered him from focusing on getting more power, but at least he didn't lose any either.

An accidental tap made the spider surge forward at a quicker pace. Since Sepheran hadn't meant to do so his grip on his lance loosened, luckily he was quick to get his grip again, though he knew what little power he had saved up had depleted a bit.

Trying to slow the beast down so it didn't run out of energy before the end Sepheran lightly pulled on the reigns. The effect was opposite of what he wanted though as his spider suddenly began to move backwards. As he attempted to get his mount back on track he was able to readjust his lance to a more suitable position.
