After having left the gates, Riko continued to dash forward as quickly as possible, never bothering to look back to see if Kaze was close behind or not. All that mattered was that Kaze had yet to pass her and that was good enough for Riko. Her breaths were coming short as Riko found it harder to breath with how much effort she was putting into this little 'race'. Panting slightly Riko could see the training grounds insight and with a newfound burst of energy charged towards the training grounds as fast as her legs could carry her. Thanks to her connection to Shinji as a fellow Konaga, Riko was able to easily pinpoint his location. When she was approximately 5 meters from him, Riko slowed down to a slow jog and when she was 2meters away, did a little happy hop as she stopped a meter from her instructor. "Guess Kaze-san's running a little late eh?"

No sooner had Riko let out her words of victory did a rush of pain serge through her, mainly targeting her legs. Slipping down so she rested on her knees, Riko wrapped her arms around her so that she clutched her sides. Doing her best to hold in the sudden pain, Riko was glad that this had happened once she was near Shinji since his presense was helping to dull the pain and allow Riko to regain control much faster than if it was by herself. Releasing a sigh once the pain subsided, Riko releaxed the rest of her body and repositioned her hands on her lap. Looking up to face Shinji, Riko flashed him a weak smile. "Guess I shouldn't have pushed myself too hard for that run eh Shinji-san?"

Seeing that Riko was the first to arrive allowed Shinji to beam with a little bit of pride as she would be the first to arrive. smiling at her little victory jump, Shinji was about to congratulate her when she suddenly fell to her knees and clutched her sides. Crouching down, Shinji placed his hand on the girl... her pain resonating through him as it washed through him in a wave of pain of his own as if his empathy for her was causing himself pain. Shinji bore the pain better however, his muscles tensing up as he grit his teeth, not allowing the pain to take over his body despite the agony it caused him.

Pushing the pain back to it's normal level through the power of his own will, Shinji could see that Riko's pain had subsided as well and figured this was as good of a time as any to begin her training. "I wouldn't say that pushing yourself in this instance was really the problem. Pushing yourself too far, especially for a Konaga, is dangerous... but also necessary. What you need to learn to do is to understand that this will always be the case, but still do it in the end. If we never push ourselves, we never reach our full potential. By pushing ourselves to the limits, we learn more about ourselves and what we are capable of... and I think that once you can do this, you will be stronger then you could ever have imagined previously. All we need to do is figure out what it is which will push you to that point and what it is which then allows you to take hold and control yourself at the same time so that you are pushed further then your body can take."

Still crouched in front of Riko, Shinji wondered how much this peace of advise would help her unless she felt it in her own soul. There were so few ways that Shinji could even demonstrate this as it was different for every Konaga and every one of their people had to figure out their own ways to do these things. "Just remember Riko. Experience breeds mastery... and no one experiences pain like Konaga do. As such, we are Masters of Pain... and we have the ability not only to master Pain itself, but makes it so that we can resist being mastered by it as well. Of course, we still have limitations... but never can we allow the pain to control us. To have even survived proves that you already know this at your core... or you would have burned out and succumb to the pain long ago."

Remaining in her sitting position on the dirt ground, Riko listened attentively as Shinji spoke. Riko clung to each word like a lifeline and she throught deeply about what she was being told. A lot of it was of course common sense and she had heard it before from her own grandfather but Riko had never really bothered to listen and consider intensivly to those words until now. At this moment, Riko knew that she had to push aside her fears and face her bloodline head on. This is what she needed if she hoped to grow and to keep running away from it would be shameful of her. Smiling softly at his last statement, Riko nodded her head in understanding and agreement. It was ture afterall, to have survived as long as they did proved that they had the ability to control and master the pain but Riko's fears held her back. She had allowed the pain to partcially control her and it was time to break free from it. Gaining a burst of determination, Riko stared Shinji straight in the eyes and asked the question she had never thought she would ever ask. "So, what should we start off with first in terms of argumentations Shinji-san?"

»The heels of Kaze's shoes had started to deteriorate as he forced himself to stop, about three or so feet away from Shinji and Riko, and a heavy dust cloud followed quickly behind him as he straightened himself up, regaining his posture. Before, as he stopped, he looked as if he was going to fall over. Then, in a rather dramatic way, he pointing at Riko, then Shinji. "Gah! Never again! You two are pretty fast and I could go that fast if I wanted to.." Kaze's voice got lower as he got closer to the end of his sentence.

Kaze knew he was interrupting something, but it was in his impulsive nature. It took some self-control to not act on every impulse he had, but this one just seemed oh so important, he couldn't resist. Though, it did seem pretty serious. It's one of those things where you could cut the tension with a knife.

After a moment, Kaze spoke up again,"So.. uh... ", his attention was on Shinji,".. what will be learning, Shinji?"

"You already know how to use the augmentations Riko... you just don't think you do. It is however innate to all Konaga and does not require training until you reach Chuunin. However, perhaps a brief overview of the ways it can be used might be helpful to you." Just as he was about to continue, Kaze finally made his way to the field, not surprisingly, interrupting their conversation rather brashly. After a few seconds of staring the young man down for his interruption, Shinji allowed sufficient time to pass to make him feel uncomfortable as he rose to his full height to add to the awkwardness. it seemed to work as the silence finally got to the young man and he nervously asked what they would start with.

"Well, now that you've finally arrived, I guess it would be unfair to leave you out by training Riko's augmentations right now.' Turning to Riko with a nod of reassurance however, he continued on... "But don't worry, I will demonstrate augmentations to you and we will train intermittently between jutsu training." Taking a deep breath, Shinji saw that a young man was running towards him, carrying the parcel he had tasked him to get. As he got closer, the young Academy student arrived, stopping and saluting Shinji quite unnecessarily before holding a scroll case out for Shinji to take... "As you requested sir, these are the majority of the Doton and Katon Genin ranked scrolls from the library." Saluting to the young student to humor him, Shinji reached out and took the scroll case with a gentle smile. "Thank You Hizashi... i'll be sure to have your teachers credit it to you as a mission. That is all." with that the boy ran off, leaving the three of them to train.

"Alright then you two... let's get started. First however, I need to know what you both want to learn. Remember, you can never be truly prepared for the Chuunin exams as they will require a wide variety of skills, so try to choose jutsu which will be good in both combat and non-combat based situations. I can likely teach both of you anything you wish to learn."

Gabriel smiled as he nodded and said," That should not be to hard then." He slowly made his way over to the water and dipped his hand into it quickly testing the temperature of the water. He shook it off before sticking it back into the water. He was glad he had exceptional control over his chakra as he spiked his chakra output and the temperature of the water spiked as well.He quickly severed the flow and brought the output to the bare minimum as the water cooled around his hand and began to cool. He stood back up and shook his hands. Now came the hard part he had to pull the water from the air. He closed his eyes and relaxed as the breeze ran through the training grounds. He slowly exerted a small amount of chakra from his hand as a dark green aura appeared on his hand. He passed his hand in front of him as if to swat away a bug. He frowned as he passed more chakra into his hand as a bit of water appeared around it. He smiled and pored more and more until he had found the amount he wanted and began to pull pools of water from the air with ease. He looked at Deidalus and said," Can you show me that second one again please?"

Jutsu's learned.
Quote:
Mizu Soujuu (Water Manipulation)
Rank: E
Description: Any Mist Shinobi that uses ninjutsu should likely have this technique. This involves learning basic manipulation of the properties of water. Boiling, freezing, and pressurization of water are included in these studies. Freezing is mostly limited to small amounts of water, and boiling includes the creation of steam by further putting chakra into the water. The user cannot perform these tasks on larger bodies of water with this basic study alone. Furthermore, by learning to draw water from the moisture in the air, the shinobi can use water techniques without requiring a source of water nearby (unless stated otherwise.) A Kage level jutsu always requires a water source, even if the Mist-nin in question creates it first. Does not require hand seals.

Iwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin
|| Taijutsu Specialist || Speed || Tactical ||

As she listed to Shinji speak about how arguementations were innate to all Konaga members, Riko took a moment to ponder on it and slowly came to the conculsion that she did. 'I guess when we make our arms and feet stronger that could already be counted as such. What I'm really missing is the knowledge on how to channel it into an acutally ability.' Head turning towards the direction of Kaze's voice, she saw him dramatically pointing at the two of them and yell some sort of statement about never racing again. 'I guess that's that.'

At Shinji's next statement, Riko returned her gaze towards her teacher and simply smiled in response to his reasurring nod only to nod herself in acceptance of the training regime. When a young lad arrived to the field carrying a bunch of scrolls, Riko was remined of how quickly she moved up the ranks without truly experiencing life as an academy student. 'And soon I will be chuunin...well...hopefully I will...' Giggling at the student's salute, she wondered if all academy students treated their superiors like that. 'Its kinda cute though unneccessary if you think about it. We're not in some sort of miliatary.'

When asked about her current repretoire of jutsus, Riko took a moment to think as she raised both hands for counting. "Lets see...universal ninjutsu I know...the kawarimi no jutsu and the henge no jutsu. So that's two...as for doton...the bunshin no jutsu, koujin bunshin no jutsu, and tsuchi gunjikoudou no jutsu. Those are for E-rank though as for D-rank, I only know the doton: shuriken no jutsu. Lastly doton: ishi no yari, doton: iwane wooru, and Iwagakure: shunshin no jutsu for C-rank. In total that...9 techniques. Yeah, so I mastered 9 techniques, two of which are universal techniques Shinji-san." As Riko though about it some more, nine jutsus wasn't much of an achievement considering she didn't, couldn't use genjutsu and she doesn't really have any taijutsu style to back her up either. 'This is a sad, sad thing indeed...'

»After having a mild stare down, Kaze's attention, after hearing Shinji talk about him finally arriving, was brought to the young boy named Hizashi, who brought scrolls. Since when did Iwa have more just a few people? Kaze began to notice all the things that changed all at once in Iwa.

Kaze listened to what Shinji had to say afterward, breaking Kaze's daydreaming and whatever else he was thinking of. 'Choosing jutsu, eh? Hmm.' Kaze then listened to Riko list out the jutsu she already knows. He felt that he shouldn't say all the jutsu he knows, as to make Riko feel bad. 'Then again... She did beat me at the race...' Although, Kaze wasn't that evil, so that thought came and went through his head. "I'd actually like to know some defensive jutsu.", he originated to Shinji. "Maybe... Even some Taijutsu?" Despite that Kaze was a Ninjutsu Specialist, he still had to prepared himself for close combat. Who knows what he would encounter at the Chuunin Exams. You can never be too careful about those things. "Maybe Genjutsu, too.. That would give me an edge in the Chuunin Exams. Or should..." Kaze had a hard time deciding. Like many others, he had no idea what he should study first. He felt like he should be learning everything all at once, and rushing off to the exams. But, for right now, he would have to take it one step at a time.

The clone watched the boy finish the technique and waited for him to work on the next. When Gabriel asked him to display the Mizu Bunshin again, the clone face palmed. This action succeeded in dispersing the clone. As the water splashed to the ground Deidalus, who had not moved very far away at all, heard it and thought that both Techniques had been finished. Walking back over, Deidalus asked the Kaguya a question. "Finished with Both jutsu already?"

Deidalus sighed before explaining the second technique once more. "First concentrate your chakra into the water. Slowly shape and enlarge the orb of water into that of yourself. The end result should be a copy of yourself, albeit weaker." As Deidalus moved to Demonstrate the move again, a Genin appeared in front of him. When he mentioned a letter from the Tsuchikage, Deidalus quickly took the letter from him. He noticed, a slight heft to the envelope and taking a shuriken from his pouch, Deidalus slit the envelope open. Reaching in he pulled out a small crystal. The crystal was odd in that it was Translucent but contained sparks of electricity within it. Putting the crystal into one of his coat pockets for safety, Deidalus pulled the letter from the envelope and read it. His eyes narrowed as he read the letter.

When he had finished the letter, Deidalus ran his left hand through his bangs. He stood there quietly in contemplation for a few moments before speaking. "Gage, I need you to go and locate Jonin Death Spank. If I know him, he'll probably be at the Yakitori Grill, chowing down on some bacon. Tell him Deidalus has sent for him and to report to the Training Grounds immediately. If you see any other ninja on the way, send for them as well."

XXX
XXX Gage flashed step from tree to tree. He began to love moving at fast paces. He never had any need to do this for the past four months, so it felt good to 'fly'. It was a good way to get back into the swing of his old life. It was also a way to take his mind off of his problem and put his mind and body to use for a greater good. There's nothing else more satisfying.

XXX Gage began closing in on the training grounds so he slowed his pace by jumping from tree to tree rather then flash stepping. Once he came in range of Deidalus, he summer salted and landed in a crouched position, silently and gracefully, in front of the Sanin. Gage stood and replaced his hood that had flown off at the beginning of his escapade. He then placed his hands into his hoodie's pockets and addressed the Sanin. "Everyone has been informed an should be en-route." Gage said without the slightest sign of fatigue.
