Ares had little choice but to follow Evermore. He had to make sure that he sat next to her so that if something happened and he was able to undisguise himself, nothing would be in his way. He would be able to make sure they knew what he thought.

"Ich werde dich toeten," Caroline repeated after Ari, with a flawless Swiss German accent. "That's not nice!"

((For those of you you don't bother with umlauts, slapping an e in there is the official transliteration.))

"German and English are sister languages - my family taught me this!" Caroline's eyes suddenly lit up. She was so much like her oldest brother - they were both nerds. "They share about a quarter of their vocabulary, and have similar grammar rules - except English has had influences from French, Italian, Spanish, Latin - basically all the Romance languages - and modern American English incorporates Native American words and concepts as we- "

She stopped in mid sentence and blushed heavily. "I was ranting again, wasn't I?" She took a seat on the floor, seeing as how she wasn't wearing the school uniform, and didn't have to worry about a skirt - she was wearing shorts. They made her legs look longer, so she wore shorts as often as she could.

Altan listened attentively to Caroline's rant. Yes, you were, but I didn't mind, for one. It was interesting. Of coure the Sphinx would think that. Aurora had listened, but more out of politeness. It wasn't that she didn't care, she just... didn't really care.

Ever stared at Caroline in surprise as she rambled on and on about... something Ever did not quite follow. But that was ok! This entire evening was actually turning out to be quite interesting, and surprisingly, Ever was really enjoying it! She felt kind of liked right now, with all these people coming to her room. It was nice!

Ever then realized that she didn't have any treats set out! Crap! But then a smile spread on her face when she realized that she still had all that chocolate in her bathroom that Ares had conjured. She had only eaten 3 pieces before she had heard the loud knock on her door.

She wasn't sitting at the moment, so all she had to do was quickly excuse herself and she walked to the bathroom. She rearranged the chocolate so that it was a nice neat pile again, and then carried the silver tray out to the sitting area. She hadn't noticed the note under all the chocolate, yet, so it was still there.

She laid the tray on the coffee table in the middle of the 2 chairs and white couch. "Here you all go! Excellent chocolate, though I hope all of you like white chocolate! It's my favorite and all that I have."

Ever then looked around and decided to take a seat on the floor since she was hostess and shouldn't take a seat. She tucked her legs in to her side so that the robe didn't reveal anything.

Ari smiled at Caroline. "Interesting! I actually didn't know that! Guess you learn something new everyday, ja?" she said. She looked to Musica and took her glasses off, and set them on a nearby table. She knew he hated them, and she wanted to make peace with him. "He knows I don't mean it..." Ari said softly, her eyes a bit out of focus as she looked in his general direction.

Ares sighed when she brought out the chocolates he'd conjured for her, but didn't make a big deal out of it. They were hers, so he supposed that she could do whatever she wanted with them. Besides, she'd said they were good chocolates. That didn't quite make it okay, but he wouldn't argue.

...As long as he eventually could stop playing her brother. He really didn't like that part. He sat in the other armchair, which was closest to her anyways, and leaned back. Stupid women. That seemed to be the theme of the day.

The fact that no one was frowning at her - in fact, she seemed to be getting a few smiles, at least from Altan and Evermore and a girl whose name she did not know - yet - and she was encouraged by this prospect.

So, she leaned back with her arms behind her, and her legs straight out in a V.

"What I think is the most interesting though, is the history of the different alphabets. I think all letters, even the ones in the modern Latin alphabet, have some sort of innate magic. Norse runes, Egyptian heiroglyphs, Japanese katakana.... not to mention Hindi, Arabic, Navajo, Mayan... Of course, the Greek alphabet, and I think even the Cyrillic alphabet could have divine powers, because it was invented so that Christianity could be spread to Russia."

The girl smiled wistfully up at the ceiling, her bright blue eyes shining and her pure white hair tickling her shoulders. "I hear even part-dragons can live for centuries... If I live that long, I want to spend my whole life learning all sorts of different languages. All those written spells...."

Musica's blue eyes shifted at her sudden out burst. He loved a girl that is feisty, but he'd never admit it to her. His exitement returned and as she talked about his shaking his muscle tremors were noticable. He put on a fake frown though, pretending to be hurt. "Oh Miss Ari, you know I'm only playing with you. Besides if I did what I could have done instead of shaking and letting go, you'd probably hate me. Well, maybe afterwards you'd hate me." He chuckled when she pulled off her glasses in her own way of apology. He loved that stubborness about her, her determination and independence. That didn't mean Musica was submissive, far from it. He was also a very dominant character as well, but he could really appreciate someone else who had a dominating personality. When he looked over to see the chocolates that reminded him of his own. He imported chocolates in from Belgium, and his coffee from Germany. He also imported tea in from the British Isle's, but he didn't care for it much so he only bought it for the customers. "I think tomorrow I'll bring in my Belgium chocolates and my British tea, along with my more gourmet coffees. These girls here really love my regular black, so I think they'll love my other items. Everyone should come by in the morning when I bring it." He spoke to no one in particular, just trying to get himself involved with others in conversation.

EDIT: Musica looked at the cute girl he introduced himself to earlier. She was very interesting, though a lot of the knowledge he knew himself as well. At the mention of Norse runes his eyes widened slightly and he listened more closely. He wondered if she would know who he was, or at least his father anyway.

Altan nodded eagerly. I concur! As a Sphinx, I can already read the Egyptian Heiroglyphs. It is very handy... when you are in Ancient Egyptian tombs. He chuckled.

Aurora listened to Musica. "That sounds lovely. I will definitely stop by." She liked tea. Hopefully he would have English Breakfast--oh. "Have you ever had Rooibos tea?"

((Rooibos tea is a South African herbal red tea. It's kinda strong and very tasty!~))

Ever thought that Musica might be disappointed to find out, if he tried one of the chocolates, that this chocolate was far better than anything in Belgium. Ares had conjured it, and as he said last night, any food conjured by a god was the absolute best there was.

She didn't respond to Caroline because she had no idea what she was talking about, so she smiled politely to Musica. "I would normally try some, but, I don't think your chocolates could compare with these. They're, uh, specialty-made! Of course, if someone doesn't like white chocolate, it doesn't much matter, does it?"

She laughed softly but then gasped when she realized that she had no drinks to offer her guests! She groaned and leaned back onto the floor. She had been so close to having everything perfect!

”Chocolate?” Ari said, perking up. She loved chocolate, especially of the milk variety. She chose to gracefully ignore his comments, and sat down near hit feet upon the floor. She didn’t really like chairs for one could not stretch out in them. She was stretched out again now, listening to the conversation around her. Her legs were lazily waving in the air, and she was playing with a lace on Musica’s shoe, pondering whether or not tying the pair together was good enough revenge.

Even if Altan was the only one who was showing any real interest in what Caroline was saying, that was good enough for her. She scooted closer towards the Sphinx, switching her babble over to telepathy. It was more work on her part, but it was a nice intimate feeling, using telepathy.

"I think it's amazing, the idea that marksmanship and language can combine to create such powerful magic... even if it's not always magic that we think of when we think of wizards and ents and angels and gods..."

Suddenly, she had an idea. Here she was, the new girl, not knowing but three people in the room. She had to get to know them, and since there so many people here... they should play a game!

"I know" she suddenly exclaimed aloud. "Let's play Truth or Dare, since we're all here!"

Musica looked at Aurora, and decided that he would speak with her to see if he could stir up Miss Ari's jealousy once more. "I'm glad to hear you will Miss Aurora, and no I have not. Not a big tea drinker myself, I only order tea for my customers. I'll be sure to look into getting that though since you have requested such." He said with a purr winking. He watched Ari play with his shoe, sensing her devious ideas. He left her be to do so though, not caring if she did make him fall really. It wouldn't hurt him anyway.

Musica looked over to the girl Caroline who announced an idea. It sounded good to him. After sneaking a look at Ari he looked over to Caroline. "Sounds like a good idea to me. Sign me up!" He said laughing, seeing this would be a fun night.

Ever slowly sat up from the floor when she heard Caroline's suggestion and arched an eyebrow at her. "Play what?"
