You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Awesome action!)) ((I don't know if Kayla is actively watching the match, or if there was something in the letter that is distracting her from it.))
Siom nudged Kayla with his elbow, distracting her for a moment. "Told you this would be quite the match!" Looking to her, he gave a soft smile. Roy was still standing to the side; he hadn't moved since this started.
Dark questioningly gazed at the man in annoyance. Quickly dodging eye contact, not even looking to the fight, he only said, "You needn't know that!" His past was something he had put behind him - full of memories that have no use in the present. For now, he'd rather just forget them.

((so sorry for my absence, I have been occupied with...stuff!))
Shin-lu looked over to Par'il and smiled and patted the seat next to her. "Don't be a stranger, sit here." She said as she turned back to the battle. She was trying to figure out how to beat Issac as she watched, though perhaps the added element of Ilyana's magic would help. Next to her, the girl was still finishing off the kabob, but she wondered if she would chuck the spear at someone or put it down safely. Shin-lu whistled as she watched Graff's recent move. "He's certainly limber." She smiled.

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((It's alright, as we say 'Life happens!' lol))
Par'il almost blushed as Shin-lu offered for him to sit next to her, but he quickly dismissed the notion before there were any visible signs of the emotion. He did as instructed and sat in line next to her and her all-engorging friend. At Shin-lu's comment, Par'il looked back down to the field. "Is he?" From what he was taught in the way of the swordsman, he assumed all true fighters, excluding Gnareen's stiff (although quick) movements, were as agile as this. Although, within comparison to Kayla's father, Graff was considerably more mobile in his technique.

shin-lu smiled as Par'il sat down and she turned back to the field. "Well, yeah, I suppose he has to be though since he needs to get those chains of him to move, and to do that he has to move his entire body. Issac is quite impressive though. Does he use a pretty standard style of fighting, jsut masterfully?" She asked as she looked at Par'il. "I don't know much about the older fighters, so I have no idea how he fights until now." She and Ilyana had gotten here rather late and before had been traveling other places, so hadn't really thought about coliseum champions.
Meanwhile, Ilyana finished her food, but then left to get more. Not surprisingly.

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Sorry, man. It's the character, not me.))
Dark didn't say anything. He only stared to the side, trying to drown out the doubts. His view fell back to the field - a hopeful distraction from this.
Par'il didn't really think about the mechanics of a chain-wielder before. She was right though, control over a weapon which isn't solid would require much control and fluidity, yet Graff tosses them about gracefully; he truly would be a masterful fighter. Her question about Isaac threw him off topic. "I-I would not know much more than you would about the fighters. This season is my first time to the arena - the first time away from my home village." He pauses for a moment to collect his thoughts and try to explain what he can. "Judging by how I was taught from the elder, and comparing it to Isaac, he uses a very basic sword-and-shield fighting style - that of hiding behind the metal in one hand to prevent most frontal attacks while strategically flailing the metal of the other hand in order to pierce the opponent's armor and damage the target. He however, seems to put much more force in his true attacks than I and he uses the defensive metal as an offensive measure more often than normal. Strange and allowing for several more openings to attack, but with the size of his shield combined with his speed, it is a highly effective maneuver. Now, I have never witnessed him in battle, nor any other master truly prior, but I can give statistics that my clan had gathered while my fath-... another member of the village was in the tournament. Isaac, supposedly, is very strong for a human, which typically beats out elves, and may then classify him more in the range of a light dwarf. He has a surprising endurance when someone actually breaks through his shield, but that can falter shortly after. Without bleeding injury, he can easily last three hours within a never ending barrage without showing a hint of fatigue. When it comes to running, a heavy pant will not begin until after five hours. As previously stated, he is fast for a human, possibly ranking with an average elf and with shield in hand, can typically react to and counter most frontal or side attacks; he will try not to let an opponent behind him unless this a trap - he typically can be more aware of his surroundings to allow that. Although, he has a tendency to react quickly when the time needs it, he, also, tends to think things through. With one so delved in logic like that, it may be possible to get him unsteady or off-guard with proper coercion from intimidation or inspiring doubt, but my- our previous fighter never had the chance to try this technique. It is, also, thought he cannot perform magic, which could be an explanation as to why we were needed to heal Kayla, but in all truthfulness, this is not confirmed. Judging by that in comparison to all the other previous candidates, he seems to be an above-average, well-rounded fighter. I do not exactly know what all that means in a fight, but I hope it answered some of your questions." Par'il really had no idea how much information he openly gave away.
((lol, gamer-nerd alert!!)) ((You know, if Shin-lu was trying to pry information about her opponent, she probably couldn't have picked a more perfect candidate for the job... Par'il what are you getting yourself into?... He's too nice sometimes, lol.)) ((Information overload?))

((Sorry for not posting in a while. My laptop had another nasty virus that needed taken care of! XP That letter Kayla had recieved from home had something to do with her and Shadow Beast by the way.)) Kayla simply smiled back at Siom, then turned back to watch the match as the words from the letter ran through her mind. Isaac somehow managed to get caught in Graff's next move, falling onto the ground as he dropped his sword. 'Dang it!' he thought, attempting to get back on his feet.

Siom looked back as Kayla did. He watched as Isaac fell and scrambled to his feet weaponless. A smile grew on Siom's face. 'Isaac isn't out yet...'

Graff felt that his twirling legs hit, because he couldnt see with the blood in his eyes "... I got him!!!, no time to clean my face, now need to press forward..." rolling in the ground he got in a crouching position "BEAR CLAWS!!!" then begun to swing his hands forward hitting the ground with swipe motions.

((wow. nice thain))
Shin-lu continuously nodded as Par'il gave much more information than any normal person would've given. This also gave her a lot more insight to Issac as a fighter. Though, either due to lack of our par'il overlooking, there seemed to be little flaw in the fighter. The chance of no magic was one, but she doubted even Ilyana's skills could turn the tables that easily. however, this also told her what not to do. One was to get into an endurance fight, for Issac could probably outlast both of them, though Ilyana might grow tougher the longer she goes without food. The other was not to go behind him to avoid that trap. Other than that, he did seem like someone who mastered pretty normal styles of fighting, so Shin-lu was going to really have to figure out how to break past his defenses because relying on hers was not an option.
Because of all this information, she wasn't really too excited for Graff as he tried to attack the downed Issac, thinking the latter had a plan. ilyana also came back, now with bags of potato chips as she began munching them down.

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Thank you. But Isaac is a previous champion, of course there would be few (known) faults.))
Par'il was surprised that Isaac had lost his sword. The information from the clan would suggest that this occurrence wouldn't have happened. Either Graff was much better than he let on, or Isaac was doing... something. He stared intently at the fight. There had to be something he was missing. Shin-lu's pensiveness allowed him more time to observe. Even Ilyana's entrance didn't disrupt his concentration.
