The general had vanished, a ragged hole had been dug in his place. from beneath the ground a rumbling began...

((This is your chance to RUN))

[ Run? Now you've got me curious. Let's see what you've got~]

Although the flames were avoided, they had still served their purpose, even after dying down. The General would come to find out what Light was up to soon enough...that is if he came out of his little hole. Until then, the half-angel would seem to just stand there for now while his image shifted and warped from the intense heat. The thermal energy he could emit had many uses, offensively and defensively. Instead of chasing down the hole after the General, Light would wait to see what was coming next. Although if it took too long, Light would flush Quetzalcoatl out.

From beneath, in a the shape of a square, the earth shifted violently. Then with a sound of crumbling earth, millions of vines rose up from the ground all around him, encircling and forming a perfect square, 100 cubic feet in diameter.
"Crush" Said a voice from below.

((ok. whats going on with you two? i would like to finally put Heavens forces into action))

((so far as I know... nothing))

Scarlett looked over.
"I know Daniel, I know you're here."

"From this point, I can only assume things to drag on until the war reaches its climax, whether someone of great importance dies or one side is defeated. Until then, we're all stuck here"

"How long have you been here Daniel?"
Scarlett crawled over to his voice

"Please explain."
Kikyo looked over at Nathan.
"I didn't make any cookie."

"well threatening to bake someone into a cookie isn't the usual threat that you would hear from the Devil."
Nathaniel mused as he walked next to Kikyo and pulled her into a hug

"no, see my father was a little more maniacle. He'd have them baked into pies...with cherries in it."

"......."

An overwhelming sea of vines had erupted from the ground, millions of them writhing and dancing maliciously around him. Such small plant life could be harnessed in large scaled ways. Light knew that if he let his guard down that he'd end up in serious trouble. Unfortunately for the General, Light was thinking several steps ahead.

The vines crashed down upon Light, some burning and combusting into flames while the several hundred thousand others whipped down over Light's body. It was almost unsettling to see mother nature act so violently towards one man. The ground rumbled and shook from the attack, dust flew up in the air, flames, ashes, and smoke rose up to the sky beneath the assault. Without making a move, surely the half-angel was not prepared to deal with it. Perhaps that's what it would look like to the General for a moment until Light's presence moved from the center of the organic prison to the outside of it.

"Not bad, General..."
Light's voice called out clear and without strain as if there was no effort taken to escape the vines. In reality Light had not even been in the vicinity of the attack. It had all been anticipated and prepared for when he shot that stream of fire towards Quetzalcoatl earlier. The roar of the flames, and the intense heat made the perfect mask to conceal his movements and to make a simple illusion of himself to appear standing firm in one place. He had [refracted] his aura along with his image so that he could rush in towards Quetzalcoatl undetected until the General went underground and the ground itself started to rumble. The half-angel's real body would appear about 10 feet away from the outer wall of the plants now.
"but the warm up is over."

It was now time to strike back.

Light held up his left hand as it laced itself in a soft white glow and a soft low hum. Quickly, light manifested itself as it drew in towards Light's palm. The area around his hand twisted and fluxed from the distortion of the light. The hum grew louder as well as the glow. The space above the half-angel even started to dim and darken in short sporadic intervals as another warm gust of air swept away from him. Light energy was quickly being gathered and concentrated around Light's hand and would probably cause smaller electronic devices to malfunction from the unfathomable amount of electromagnetic waves being drawn in and amplified. In his right hand, Light held Fuuinshin so that the flat end was pointed forward and the hilt naturally aimed in the opposite direction. His white coat flapped untamed and wildly from the warm gusts of wind around him.

Light wasn't about to fire a simple laser this time.

Zeiphyr followed and hopped onto Nathaniel's back with his head peering over the Irishmen's right shoulder. "Yes! Yes, tell us!" he cried.

Just merely half an hour before sunrise Jeohin began to spread his forces in the cover of the trees surrounding the Arieus army. they were not as rash as to charge openly.

Not a sound was made while they positioned themselves around the enemy forces. the sight of the barren land greatly angered the angels as they watched. Jeohin spotted a lifeless body which closely resembled his own son brought a solitary tear to his eye. then turned into furious anger.

The first light of dawn had cracked over the horizon. At once the angels shot up a barrage of arrows which pierced the sky and cascaded onto the Arieus forces. but moments before the arrows hit their target thousands of the fastest angels darted across the battle field and sliced through their enemies. Then without any time to react the arrows became close enough to cut into their target.

The battle had begun as Jeohin rose from the trees, backed by, in upwards of, 50,000 angels. Though the angels charged mercilessly there was strategy to their plans. entirely cutting off the communication between officer and soldier causing chaos for the Arieus. the Officers seemed to be attacked the most while Jeohin lead at the front. His deafeningly, bone shattering voice could be herd over the thousands over soldiers at war

Quetzalcoatl had forgotten the many ways of light elements. Especially that of illusion. But all was far from lost, hidden somewhere underground, a chant began, with a roar of shifting earth hundreds of enormous trees erupted from the ground, growing fast as if being watch by film on fast forward. They all grew tall and healthy, mostly because they were absorbing the light using photosynthesis. Before long the sun was blotted out by the gigantic trees, each leaf absorbing whatever light there was.
Quetzalcoatl rose from beneath the ground, the dirt trailing away from his sleek silver-like armor and resting silently against the earth. A quick twirl of his tongue brought about a new chant, with his old spear transforming once again into a new form, this time being a war scythe.
"I must hurry back to my base, I cannot waste any more time. As much as I love the thrill of a worthy opponent, you must die now."
Quetzalcoatl sighed as he drove the scythe into the ground, a vapor of poison and plethora of vines emminating from the gash in the earth. Around them both, the giant trees creaked and groaned. Once again, the sound of earth moving was heard, by several wooden giants, brought to life by the poison and earthen magics of Quetzalcoatl.

"Almost a few months now. For some reason I'm the only one with any strength left. The others won't wake up... I fear the time is getting close. But enough of all that unpleasant bull, its nice to see that you became a beautiful young woman..."
Daniel placed his hand over her eyes, imbuing her with the gift of dark sight. Now she could see the enormous Omega Edifice, with all 8 of the elemental holders imprisoned within it. Daniel was in the middle, almost his entire body, save his torso, a hand, and head, had been engulfed by the odd looking stone structure.
"Sorry you have to see me like this..." Daniel said with a weak tone.
