Monty gave a face as he was sitting over the edge of the bed, massaging his healing leg. For the past few weeks he let the annoying elf pester him to eat and to drink poisoned herbal drinks to get the healing better. It was working, he grudgingly admitted to himself since it was bringing back his strength to summon his abilities. Yet there was still some pain in his leg he had a good feeling that he was going to walk today, further than he had been trying. Maybe this time he can strangle the elf? No, that wouldn't do anyone good since the elf had been helping him, something he was inwardly giving thanks to.
"Can you walk yet, Monty?" The demon mimick in a childish voice with a glower as he stood up and started shuffling his feet towards the wall. Once he got there he started to walk further and further away from the bed, finally feeling relief that his leg was better. There was a slight limp but over time that will soon leave and he would be able to run, jump and kick someone's a**. "Can you think yet, Kalore?" He snapped with a sour mood.

Gritting his teeth, Kalore snapped at the other, “Shut the hell up. You’ve been on your a** for weeks so I had to make sure.” He stood up, his temper coming and going quicker now than it had before but he had to get control over himself; no matter how difficult it was. Passing the standing demon, he didn’t bother to give him a single glance as he put some of the rabbit stew in two bowls, most of it for Monty. Kalore could take a few bites of things at a time, but other than that he couldn’t eat anything. Glancing over at him finally, he couldn’t help but nod a bit in approval, “Good to see you can move. Now sit back down and eat something.” As decent as the two had been to one another, that didn’t stop them from snapping at one another. But that also didn’t stop the moments where normal conversation was possible.

The demon growled and glared at Kalore. "Hell no. You eat everything you've made or else I'm going to shove it down your damn throat. Do you understand me?" He snapped shoving the bowl at Kalore to eat. The demon wasn't an idiot. He knew that the elf wasn't eating much and that wasn't acceptable to him. Even though he wanted to beat the hell out of the damn brat, he wasn't going to do that. Not yet. "Eat every bit and then I will."

Another twitch and the bowl was shoved back, “I made too much for just me to eat. Eat the damn food. I’ve got my own bowl.” He showed him his own bowl of food. It wasn’t much compared to what Monty’s was, but the demon had always eaten more than Kalore did. But… even for Kalore, the food wasn’t much. “I’m not going to waste food if I’m not going to eat it. I don’t even like meat that well.” Which was true. But he stopped arguing as he sat down, glowering as he tried hard not to glare more at the other. He needed to eat more, in the back of his mind he knew this, but at the same time he couldn’t make himself eat more. It just didn’t seem to happen.

Monty crossed his arms and lifted his chin up in that arrogant way of his and looked down his perfect nose at Kalore. "No. I will not eat until you regain all the fat you lost for your stupidity and act of victimizing yourself." He said with a haughty tone. "Your being an idiot if you think to not eat beyond what you can handle."

“Victimizing myself?!” Twitching some, Kalore stood up, yanking Monty down so he was forced to sit down. “I’m not above breaking your damn leg again, Monty. Sit down and just eat your damn food.” Words hissed out, Kalore sat across from him, his temper not going away as quickly as it had before. Instead, he held onto the annoying feeling as he took small bites of the stew but not much. “I didn’t lose that much fat, and most of it went away because I’ve actually been doing more than just sitting around and tending to you while I was at the castle. But it doesn’t matter. Just eat.”

Monty stared at Kalore and almost lost his own temper. Or maybe he had and didn't realize it anymore. "No your beneath doing such a thing. After all now that I can walk, what's stopping you from leaving like you said you would?" He growled, pushing the bowl over to Kalore for the elf to eat more. The demon felt fine and could possibly go a bit longer without eating since he could walk and get food on his own...As soon as Kalore left of course.

Freezing, Kalore continued to glare at the other for a moment before he scoffed, pushing both bowls away. “Whatever. I’ll be gone soon but I’m not leaving yet. I also said I’d stay until you were actually alright and just because you can now walk, that doesn’t mean anything.” No, Monty could still hurt himself or do something stupid. However, he was going to need to leave sooner rather than later. Without his phone, he knew that someone would have tried to get a hold of him and if he wasn’t at his house and someone actually saw that… Kalore was in for a headache and he knew it. “Just eat, will you? You’re the one that eats meat, not me.”

The demon sighed and took the bowl, eating the food quickly. After a few minutes his bowl was clean and empty. Giving Kalore the look he pointed for the door. "Now get out. I can take care of myself, thank you for your help." It wasn't a nice way of saying it but he did say thank you while throwing Kalore out.

Satisfied that the other was actually eating, Kalore nodded in approval, beginning to clean up. As he was kicked out, however, the man just glanced back at him, ignored him, and continued to clean up. Kalore didn’t deny being kicked out or bother with anything but soon he sighed, setting everything down, frowning some. His curiosity was getting the better of him. “What are you going to do now, Monty?” Other than kick him out… He knew that Monty hated him by now, that much was obvious, and Kalore knew that he had said that he hated the demon but that just wasn’t true. He wished it was, for that would make things so much easier, but it just wasn’t true.

Monty was about to tell the elf to get out again when he was startled by the sudden question. It was a question that hadn't occured to him until now. Frowning some the demon dropped his shoulders, showing how truly tired he was and looked at the table. "I...I don't know." Rather than come up with a great lie, the demon was blunt about that as he tried to think of where else to go from here. There were plenty of places he could go but none he wanted to at the moment. "I didn't think beyond leaving...." Perhaps it was because he was so caught up in trying to leave Kalore and keep him at a distance that he didn't plan that far ahead. Yes, that was it.

Hearing the other, the man didn’t say anything for a while. He didn’t chastise him or anything but soon he sighed, glancing back to watch him for a moment, “You left without planning on where to go from here?”Kalore did frown some, shaking his head. He wasn’t surprised, though. Monty had found himself here, no supplies, and wounded… probably for months seeing as that’s how long it had been. Over half a year had passed since Monty’s ‘death’ and now? Now, apparently… Kalore wasn’t going to think about it. Instead, he sighed some, “I can help find a place to stay for you… a place where you’re not going to run into any of us. That is why you left, right? Us?” He glanced back, now actually watching him. “Me?”

Sighing softly, the demon covered his eyes with his hand and motioned with his other hand for the elf to sit down across from him. No more running and no more defensive tactics. For now the demon was tired and with all the fighting he was having with Kalore it nearly teared down his barriers. It proved to him that with anyone else the demon could safely dodge anything make others assume what they narrowed mindedly wanted but...With Kalore?
The demon couldn't fight him too long. No, not now especially. "I will tell you my reasoning for leaving. It does have to do with you but not in the way you think." It was half selfish and half not in concerns to Kalore.

Frowning, Kalore wasn’t too sure on what to take of the other’s attitude. Turning, he watched him for a moment, not moving before he slowly walked to the table. Was this some form of trick? He wouldn’t put it past the other to do something like that, but as he went to sit d own, the frown never left his features. “Monty… What are you talking about?” In the years that he had known him, scary to think that it had been years, Kalore knew that Monty did things that were little more than strange. He would do things and wonder why no one understood why he was doing them, but Kalore normally could either figure it out or find the answer… was this one of those moments of just finding the answer? Quite possibly…

Monty kept his eyes hidden since they were closed. "I'm talking about stop fighting because I'm too damn tired and just going to tell you why all of this," The demon waved his hand around the kitchen part of the cottage, "happened. I faked my death Kalore for three reasons. You might not believe me or think they are justifiable but when you have lived as long as I have, it's the only means of survive even with the knowledge of hurting everyone in the proceed. Are you ready for those reasons?" He didn't want this to be dropped on Kalore all at once. Slowly and gently, even if he didn't do that in the beginning with his fake death.
