Jack chuckled a little. "Dun' worry, people in your world will have noticed your gone well before the people in mine..." he tried to assure her. "People know I'm gone... The monks would have been the first to notice, the second they show up for a new Shen Gong Wu and I'm not there... Whether they care or not is a completely different matter." He blinked, as if realizing something. "Or maybe Chase was first to know I was gone." He looked down at the small blue "orb" he carried, and asked it, "Did you get here before me, Chase...?" Of course, it didn't answer, and Jack hadn't expected it to. He wasn't sure if he'd like it better or not if Chase could answer... Wuya constantly snapping at him was bad enough.

Jack let out a tired snort that, had he felt more awake, would have been a chuckle. "Only if Mom's found out... Maybe Dad, too..." he replied, smiling against all odds. "Hannibal hates me, and, to be honest, really kinda scares me... Wuya hates me... The monks might miss havin' someone to go up against for every new Wu, but that's it, really..." He turned his head a bit in an attempt to crack his neck. "I don't even really know how long we've been here... My parents weren't supposed to be home for another month, or so, and sometimes they just stay wherever they happen to be longer, or go somewhere else without coming home... They might not even know I'm not home..."

Jack's smile turned genuine as he turned his gaze from the sky to Nina. Really, she always seemed to know just what to say to him, and when to say it, too. Now that he thought about it, she had always done so much to make sure he was happy. What with trying to prove to everyone that he really was evil, Jack wasn't sure if he had been returning the favor as often as he probably should have. He decided he would have to remedy that, and, as a start, he reached over with his free hand and clasped hers. "Thank you, Nina. I never thought I'd meet someone who cared as much for me as you do."

Nina smiled back and held onto his hand, "And I'm glad I found you. Guess this warlord didn't think he'd be playing matchmaker," she giggled a little.

"I don't think that guy does a whole lot of that thinking thing," Jack joked. "Really, how is it possible to build a machine and not know how to use or maintain it? He should make sure his engineers are truly dedicated to him and his cause before he starts using their inventions." To him, it seemed a huge insult to the machines. They deserved better. "Hopefully, he at least understands the importance of oil," he added, smirking.

"Maybe," Jack agreed, grinning. Then, his eyes widened a bit. "Or maybe, I'll teach him by turning his creations against him!" he cried out, excited at the thought. Giving Nina's arm a quick tug, he wrapped his arm around her, giving her a tight hug. "Nina, you are my muse! I get my best ideas when you're around!"
((And perhaps we should pause a bit, 'til more people are back online? xd ))

Nina blushed a little at the compliment. When he wrapped his arm around her in the hug she hugged him back, "I'm glad," she smiled, holding on.

Jack smiled and quickly walked in, grateful for a rest. He walked in just far enough to not be seen from the outside, and sat down, his back against the wall. Using his one free hand, he undid the straps for his heli-bot and laid it down in front of him, then frowned. He had wanted to repair it, but... he seriously doubted if he could do that one-handed, and he was worried about what would happen if he let go of Chase's soul. ...Great, what was he going to do about sleeping, then?
