He watched him before he nodded, beginning to lean back. “I won’t leave… but I’ll get away from you for now, alright?” Standing up, the elf walked to the chair, sitting down by the table and just staying there for a while. He wanted to get something… get something that would help the other. He wasn’t sure what it was that was going to do anything. “There’s a town near here… I could probably see if they have a space heater or a blanket or… anything that’ll warm you.” He glanced over at him, thinking about that. “You’re freezing, Monty. Can you heal that on your own or…?”

Monty forced a snarl as the threw something, a pillow, at Kalore. "Then go damnit! I can't do anything, not after what was done to me. Now leave me alone or go do something useful that's away from me." He snapped and started growling like a prickly grizzly bear not getting honey or being woken up from his slumber.

Catching the pillow, the man twitched some before throwing it back, “I’ll go but come back. Damn it Monty, it’s not like I even really have a place to go right now.” He scoffed some, moving so that the pillow was against his face but he moved away before any threat was there. “You need to eat something… food’s good to get your health back up.” Says a man who was border-line anorexic for months… and still wasn’t much more than walking skin and bones; though his muscle was still there if he was able to pin down the demon…

The demon grunted, not caring what the elf did really. Yet it did occur to him that perhaps Kalore had been suffering in some way that required him to eat food too. After all he had taken care of Kalore before in a bad state after taking him from that b*****d Eri. "Th-Then if your going to force me to eat, then you have t-to eat first." That way you can in some sort of way kill two birds with one stone...right?

Frowning at the other, Kalore shook his head, “I’m not hungry. I’ll eat when I’m hungry.” Going to the counter, the man grabbed some of the food that he had made, walking over to the bed. “Eat something… if I get hungry then I can get something to eat without any help.” Kalore frowned some, not wanting to be reminded to eat something. Was he hungry? No.. but he hadn’t really been hungry in months. If it came to the point that he needed food, however, his body had stopped being able to tell him, already growing accustomed to the hunger. Oh well.

Monty looked at him with the look, somehow able to still pull it off with the tired and beaten expression he had. "Eat the f*cking food or else get the f*ck out for good. I'll even lock the door on you if you think to foolishly come back." He growled pushing past his chills to speak normal and stressing out each word so that Kalore knew he wasn't playing, even though the demon would have to bluff his way since he couldn't do much physically.

The man twitched some, shoving the other the fruit as he scoffed. “I’ll eat something but only when you do, Monty.” He took in a breath, shaking his head a bit before going to the counter, finding a fruit; a strawberry. Putting it in his mouth, the man made a gesture, a ‘see, I did it’ type thing. “Please eat something, alright?” He rolled his shoulders back some, frowning. Kalore wanted to bother the other, wanted to push him seeing as he knew that if it came down to it… Monty couldn’t lock him out of the cottage. There were windows, a door, and he was pretty sure that he could take the demon by this point.

Monty growled but took the fruit and glared at the wall, turning away from the elf. "Now go." It was more like a order rather than a constant yelling of wanting to be in peace. Besides, Monty could just lay there for a while and once he heard the elf coming back he can come up with some sort of invisible strength to lock everything that was an opening. That might piss off Kalore and something he would enjoy after being kicked in the face and such.

“Nope.” Sitting on the table, cross-legged, Kalore was nibbling on the fruit, his stomach beginning to complain to him more now than before. Without any real food… even his tongue ring was beginning to scream at him. it had been far too long since he had had something to eat that wasn’t just bread. “I’m staying here and you’re not locking me out with that mental crap that you can do so easily.” Face blank, he watched the man closely. “But then again… you seem to have enough strength to order me around again…”

Monty groaned and curled up into a ball. "You want me to give in...Is that it?" He snapped, closing his eyes with the covers over his head to hide his childish look that he hadn't had in many centuries if not more. Yet truth betold, Kalore was the only he would give in for and if the elf knew that still then it would be fairly easy to wear down his defenses and force the demon to eat and heal and then be beaten by the demon elf. Yeah not going to happen. "Go to hell!"

Kalore watched him for a moment, unsure on how to respond, “Are you seriously telling me that?” He raised a brow before throwing his head back and… laughing. The way the demon was acting was so childish; it was just too good to resist laughing at. “I’m going to hell already, but apparently it’s going to take a while… For now, eat the damn fruit.” Humor was still obvious thee but he didn’t show it too much. Still… it was hard not to. Monty needed to get better soon so that Kalore’s anger didn’t go away… otherwise, he couldn’t beat him senseless; the annoying brat.

Monty closed his eyes and willed himself to just be unconscience. Well he would pretend at least since he was such a great actor in pretending to be dead. Yet he couldn't muster up the anger he felt at Joker and Gambler for giving those things to Kalore that made him come here. The demon just couldn't. "Go to the town Kalore and get supplies. I'm not going to heal as usual with the trauma dealt on me. I'll eat when you come back and have successfully eaten yourself." He muttered, closing his eyes tightly, needing to be alone more than anything but hating the fact that he was so damn weak he couldn't even summon up.....fire to or even a flicker of it to scare the elf away.

Watching him for a moment, the man sighed before nodding some. “Alright. You’ll have time to be alone because it’ll take a while.” Leaving the bow and quiver there, Kalore began to walk out before he strayed in the doorway, sighing some as he glanced over. “Just rest, alright?” He wasn’t going to threaten the other or anything as he walked back out, closing the door as he walked down to the village. It would take a while, but Kalore was also taking his nice time, not wanting to go there too fast. If he did so… he wasn’t too sure that he’d be alright with fighting again already. It was draining, really, and the demon was right; Monty wasn’t the only one that needed to eat something.

Monty didn't say anything as he let his body go lax again and allowed the darkness in his vision to consume him again whether or not he was suffering from a fever. At the very least he was going to be more manageable while like this and unknown to what was going on around him. All the better really, with him knocked out until whenever he felt his strength returned. Kalore was right, he needed his strength.

~A Few Weeks Later~

Blankets had been found and food had finally become something normal in the cottage where Monty and Kalore were staying. The weeks hadn’t been the best, to say the least, but it seemed like Kalore was behaving more than he had in the beginning. Cooking meals that were simple and without much hassle, he worked to get the demon’s strength up but only ate when he knew Monty was going to make him. It wasn’t that he was punishing himself or anything silly like that… but he didn’t think that there was much that he could do right now that would help Monty, so he focused on him. In the weeks that had passed, the elf had found himself growing fond of the temperamental brat once again, no matter how hard he tried not to.

Sighing softly, Kalore shook his head, making something over a small fire outside for the demon to eat, at least knowing how to cook rabbit or other small things like that. “Can you walk yet, Monty…?”
