B'dang. Guess I'll have to do my grinding in the available areas in each chapter. D: If Colette's level is any indicator of what I should be, I'm like 4 levels too low. And the Imp grows so slowly! >_<;;
Oh yeah, I kinda remember you too Christica...from back when I was a newbie to this guild. That was also about two years ago. xd
LOL, when I'm going to go shooting for the Flanoir scenes, I'll be going for Colette's next because she's so easy to get. =P Heehee, I went and got Kratos' first because I was just so smitten with him. xd
And speaking of absent persons...I wonder what happened to Raito. We pretty much need him to progress in the RP. ><;;

Congrats on winning the banner contest Azura.
This I guarantee will be spoiler free, but a lot to read. (I did not rhyme that on purpose ha ha.)
Anyways, prepare for...
Chase's review of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Overall Score: 9/10
Story: I was tempted at first to say that I prefer the unique story of the original more, but I just can't hide the fact that I love this story just as much. And it's told so much more better then the original, as well (What with more voice acting and a plot that doesn't reveal anything until the near end, keeping you drawn in from start to finish.) The Voice Acting was superb, as well as all the characters, old and new. I got the good ending when I beat it, which is the most perfect ending EVER. In fact, it's so perfect, I couldn't possibly see another sequel coming along. Everything just wraps up so nice and sweetly. Every character grew on me, including a couple of vanguard members I hated, because their end was so tragic. All in all, just as kick a** as the original.
Gameplay: Way too linear for it's own good (Too much restriction), and everything has downsized. But that's not such a bad thing. I think the original had too much stuff in it, making it a little complex. There are still a bountiful amount of side quests, but other things like EX Skills and Move Sets have vanished, making it less time consuming. But don't get me wrong, if you envelop yourself in every little detail (Like I did), it still has a longevity compared to the original. (Took me 66 hours to beat mrgreen .) An added element to the game play was monster catching/raising, which I thought was a little derivative. I had fun with it, but in all honesty, when the chance of using former members arose, I often used them in battle then the monsters I raised.
Battle: The free range system can sometime give an added difficulty, but overall I thought was an improvement. Sadly though, you can only use either Emil or Marta in battle (I think everyone knew that, so it isn't such a spoiler.) Which means no playing as original members. That makes me sad, but luckily, playing as Emil was pretty fun (His move set kicked total a** as well) . So I had a good time with the battles. Also, Unison attacks where so much better in this game. You no longer have to spend hours experimenting and trying to find combos; It's just one solid attack with everyone combining their strengths. Mystic Artes are fun, and devastating. You'll see what I mean.
Well, I guess that about sums it up. I hope when everyone gets the chance to play it, they have as much fun with it as I did.
Now to replay it with 10x exp. involved. Can anyone say, UBER PWNAGE!!! Also got to do all the side quests I missed the first time around, so...

I'm glad to hear ToS2 is good; I heard a lot of negative reviews, so I was afraid it was going to kind of suck. Now if I only had a Wii... Dx

@Chase (and eclesti): Oh my, thanks. whee
Wait...aren't you aware that you can change characters in-battle? That's what's quirky about it, though...it can only be done in-battle. I figured this out when I wanted to get a feel for the other characters. Damn...I want Richter back and I still suck at using Colette. rofl I am still in the second chapter, though. When I grind, I GRIND. I never shook that habit since Pokémon. xp
@Keltena: I do not depend on reviews. I try a game and decide for myself whether it sucks or not. After all, that is their opinion, not mine. I feel I have no place to rag on something without full experience and knowledge on it. If you're tight on teh monies, there's always rental. ...I wish I had that option in this country. lol

...You can play as other members? And I didn't utilize this feature once?
...
Excuse me one moment.
*Steps outside*
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!
*Steps back in*
Oh well. I'll do it next time. My review stands the way it is, since having to switch to the character in battle sounds as much a nuisance as it is a blessing.

...I, uh, take it you didn't notice at all that "C: Change Character" pops up whenever you bring up the menu in-battle? sweatdrop Doesn't give you a chance to play one of the monsters, though. I wanted to try that.
I did not imagine Chapter 2 would be this long, but maybe it only seems that way because I make it a point to thoroughly explore a new area. *spent about 5 hours into it* I've just gotten through the point where Zelos shows up. I squealed. Then I was like, "NOOOOOO, get back here!!! Join meeeeee~! I want to use you again!!!" rofl
I've made some of my monsters evolve, but something strikes me as odd. They go back to level 1 and lose their techs??? eek

Lol, that sounds like the Digimon games. (But in Digimon, they keep their stats, so when you level them up, their stats just keep going, and going, and going...so by that method of evolving and devolving they can get top stats)
Is it like that in ToS2?

That sounds so broken. xd
As far as I've seen, no...some stats have actually lowered (but not by too much), but they're really easy to level up and once they get up to snuff, I think they are stronger than their previous forms.

I have discovered Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is insanely fun. Will I ever return to any other type of game? I dunno, but busting caps in thugs is down, dawg. Fo sho.

Heheh, not my type.
Meanwhile, I'm looking deeper into the Vocaloid fandom. They produce such interesting songs...the Cantarella one I showed earlier is an example. The current song stuck in my head is Alice Human Sacrifice. 8D
Eh, don't trust the lyrics translation too much to figure what's going on. So much broken Engrish. Instead, one person puts it very well:Quote: The First Alice had a sword and went nuts, killing everything in her sight. She was locked away in the forest, insane. The Second Alice sang so much that he drove everyone insane, and one of them killed him. The Third Alice was beautiful, and deceived her way to the throne, when she began thinking that she was rotting away. The Fourth Alice is twins who found their way into Wonderland and were exploring when they found the First Alice in her prison, and she killed them.

I WANT that song.
I love stuff like that; all fluffy and sweet but so evil and dark. twisted heart It almost sounds circus-y. Where does one get the song?
Also, the second Alice could sing all he wanted and I don't think I'd mind. He's pretty. And has a sexy voice.
