you know your a band geek when:
-you sing along to the raido and try to tune your voice to the singers so that you don't have to hear the vibrations
-your band director feels comfortable enough to give you (and the rest of the band) dating advice
-you wake up and feel like the luckiest person alive when you have a band concert on your birthday ( this happend to me and we played like really really good too it was the best birth day ever!!!)

Top 25 signs that You've been in marching band too long:
1) When you hear music and start marking time.
2) When you walk behind someone and you're in step with them.
3) When you try to guess the tempo of your favorite song.
4) When all your friends are in band.
5) When you point out key changes and dynamics while listening to the radio.
6) Then every guy/girl you're interested in is in band.
7) When you practice your instrument more than you talk to your dog.
cool When people worry when they see you without your people.
9) When you remember the order of sharps and flats more easily than your name.
10) When you're alone, you suffocate because no one's telling you to breathe.
11) When you're instrument has a name.
12) When you remeber your instrument's birthday, but forget your moms.
13) When you give your instrument a birthday party.
14) When you see your section more than you see your family.
15) When everyone else wants to kill the other football team...and you want to kill the band.
16) When you walk and you autimatically start with you left foot.
17) When you accidentally call you band director "Dad" or "Mom".

19) When reeds taste good.
20) When marking time is your favorite form of exercise.
21) When you have a neck strap tan line.
22) When you subconsciously start practicing with a pencil.

you know your a band nerd when your failing all other classes due to late nights of practice.

when a guy/girl is asked by a girl/guy to unzip her and she is not hitting on him.
for most freshman at their first show they spaz and think naughty things rofl
when you refer to your pants as bibbers.
when you have a bottle of valve oil for both rotary valves and straight valves and a mouth peice for 2-3 instruments on you at all times.
when someone has had to hit you up side the head with a textbook to get you to stop humming random tunes you played in marching band. (this one actually happened recently and i still have a knot on the side of my head)

You know you're a band geek when you'd rather play your instrument than hang out with your best friend.
Or, your instrument IS your best friend.
Or, you decide to hang out with your best friend, but you still bring along your instrument anyhow.
And you call your band director by his/her first name.

For saxophonists, mainly -
You know you're a band geek when you walk around the whole day wearing your neckstrap, get the other saxophonists to do it, and it becomes cool. O_o
And also, you own at least two different neckstraps, like one for concerts, one for pep band, one for rehearsals, etc. xD

You know you're a band geek when instead of just saying 'Hi' you actually hug your band director every time you see him/her, just as if they were your best friend...
I was doing that for a while, but then my friend told everyone that I had an intimate relationship with the BD, so I stopped...O_o
