Owa: Im getting a new laptop for myself.... any recomendations? Depends on how much your willing to spend, but i reccomend staying away from Centrino chips, they suck balls, and umm.....upgrade your ram to at least a gig. Dell is.....ok i guess, good quality product but horrible service. HP (Hewlit packard which im prolly spelling wrong) is pretty good and their laptops are awesome. stick with the name brands but avoid gateway. Sony, toshiba and possibly even a mac if you can cope with it are good. What kinda things are oyu looking for it to do?

ive been looking at dells... I saw a nice one for a good price...
Im hoping to spend around 1000 bucks (canadian) but i can spend more if I haveto >w<
well I like dells customization and the one that I like is a good price with 2gb ram
The processor isnt centrino luckily. Its dual-core and I like that xD 2ghz
and its all for around 1000 !
Edit::: Something for homework, music, maybe movies, some games, it has windows media center so thats good... alsofor going on the internet xD

Ninja: Dual cores can be centrino too, there is ceintrino dual cores so double check. And Ummmm well if you dont bother depending on dells service your fine. But mkae sure they send you EVERYTHING. It is very much their habbit to send you SOME cd's you need and not all.
HP is a nice one, they have the ones with fingerprint identifiction, removable media remote and swivel screens.
