Lt. Brookman
It makes me fear what passes for quality control around GW's design studio. Then again, Ward is the one who is always taking the creep a step beyond the previously established boundaries, the others seem to be a bit more controlled in their writing.

they think rather in terms of quantity, of models sold, probably...

Right you are there, it is all about selling kits, to hell with balanced army books.

Um would a Black Templar Emperors champion model be okay to use as a Brotherhood Champion?

re: champions model - imho it fits perfectly, but you need to remove the BT crosses where needed...

Latest news! Abaddon manages to kill Draigo! It seems his large number of attacks coupled with initiative advantage and eternal warrior plus inv save combo was the key.
Rest of the villains of the CSM fared worse though, dying promptly...

Just checking, you did make sure that when Abaddon was wounded, you took a Ld test, and if passed, had another wound removed?

I don't understand how Draigo can beat a Greater Daemon of Khorne, such as Ang'rrath, but not beat Abaddon.

Abaddon is not a demon nor a psyker, hence demonbane wasnt in effect...
sometimes it pays to not reach demonhood yet...

Doesn't make a difference, he still has a Force Weapon, which takes 1 extra wound off instead of Instant Death.

and Abaddon has eternal warrior, albeit under different name, and force weapon does exactly instant death in 5th ed

And don´t forget the storm-bolter. :3
Not sure if the BT crosses are needed to remove,
I used some BT bitz (tabards, shoulder-pads, etc)
and they look quite nice on them,
makes them have more knightly feel on them that I was hoping for. :3

My happy army of Space-Paladins. <3
From the Order of..... <.< Blessed Star...? Holy Star....? o.o

That or Dark Gods decided to leave him as a human.
Hey, he has failed 13 Black Crusades,
he doesn´t deserve to be a deamon. > biggrin

I've heard that the next codex will be setting Abaddon as a threat worthy of his fluff. Which means that he might be retired from the game and INTO the fluff.

But that's not a discussion for this thread. Y'all should look at the CSM thread.

I noticed an interesting thing about the codex,
not sure if it can be called as a "loop-hole",
but I think it maybe be possible.

It´s about Inq.Coteaz´s Lord of Formosa rule;
Henchmens become troop-choice and the Inq-limit is removed,
but what happens to the "does not use up F.O slot"-rule?

Since there is no change to that rule,
technically it is possible to have more then 6 Troops-Choices,
if points would allow it or go nuts and have nothing but hencmens. biggrin
Or better yet, just build a monkey-minion army. xD
Monkey-minions, MONKEY-MINIONS! twisted

Most likely the army WILL be underpowered againts other armies,
but dammit, you have monkey-minions! D:<

Wait.... You would need atleast 2 grey knight units
since the hencmens don´t take a F.O. slot,
so wouldn´t that technically mean they wouldn´t not be counted towards
the minimun 2 troops choice count? :-/

In anycase;
MONKEY-MINIONS! rofl
