Shuiro stopped in her tracks as sensei started yelling at her again. It takes strength to pick up and throw something in order to break something else... more strength than just punching it! And I was pissed off! Give me a break, old man! And now he was giving her more work... that figured. He did say after getting rid of the third that she could go home and rest though... and she'd almost finished her fourth. Shrugging off his lecture, as if it were nothing, she placed her hands behind her head and walked away. She was going home to get some sleep.

She walked over to her battleground of broken boulders, dirt and dust. With one small movement, her fist shot forward and destroyed the little shard that was nearly impossible to break the night before. It wasn't just that though. The pressure from her punch went through it and hit the next boulder, braking a cunck of it off as well. Flexing her fingers she smirked at the row of boulders waiting to be crushed... this was gonna be a good day...

(I hate how these thing stretch on forever... it makes my posts look tiny...)
Raising her fist again she struck in a downward motion. The ground benieth her, and her target, skook with force as half the boulder was reduced to rubble. She was feeling good. Hungry, but good. She couldn't think about food now though... it would distract her from the task at hand... and her brother was givving huge hints that she should lose a little weight, and what better way to do so than strength training on an empty stomach. Not that she minded going hungry for a while... she was used to it and she had work to do anyways...

She struck the half boulder to finish it off, but it decided it was going to be stubborn and throw a fit like the one before. Not wanting to waste any time on this one, she turned to another and completely demolished it with one strike. She stood there for a second, waiting for the dust to clear, and then counted the rocks that were left. Ichi... ni... san... shi... go... and that damned half that wont die... great.

She ran her fingers lightly over the half-rock's surface and hopped on tiop of it. Sitting herself down she watched the small wisps of could foat by... she hoped sensei wouldn't just happen to appear and smack her for not working... she'd get back to work as soon and she was dont thinking... she liked to think. Sensei would find that hard to believe, though, since he considered her brainless...

Standing back up on the rock, she decided to go at a different angle. Jumping into the air, she twisted around and aimed for the rock below her. The momentum picked up from her fall was strong, but not strong enough to break it. When her fist connected to the boulder, she hit it at the wrong angle and flipped herself onto her feet. She felt a warm trickle down her hand and saw she'd split two knuckles... but not lasting damage, just a sleight sting. She glared at the rock a and stuck her tongue out at it. She made it a promise in her head... it would die soon...

She tried to use another areal attack once more, but she bounced off again. Either she was hitting it at the wrong angle, she didn't have enough falling momentum, or it's weak spot wasn't gonna be struck from above. It didn't help that her knuckles were bleeding even more now. She would have to go left-handed for a while... she didn't want to break her wrist or something. That would be stupid. And sensei would yell at her for being stupid enough to keep going like that... or he would yell at her for not pushing herself past her limits... she still wasn't quite sure how he worked in that sense...

Sakumo was happy to see his students already breaking the rocks, when he arrived at the site. She was really progressing. It wouldn't be long before she could advance to the next phase.

She decided to go with the not enough power theory. Making another jump, hoping it was higher than before, she aimed for the selected point on the rock, but instead of punching it, she flipped around and struck it with her foot. She felt the pressure of her blow, and the rock's resistance, flow through her and pushed herself away. She may have created a crack or two, but nothing dramatic... she liked dramatic...

She felt over the little damage she made in her latest attempt. To her, ity wasn't very encouraging. She did, however, establish that she needed more power and could attain it by usuing her feet rather than her already damaged hands. Now she wanted to try her extra momentum theory... that added to her leg strength should be enough to break it. Taking a running start, she jumped high into the air and flipped backwards. Diving head first, she gatghered spped to increase her force and at the last minute, flipped over again to use her leg. A loud crack was heard as she struck down on her worthy opponent. She stood in the midst of another pile of rubble waiting for her next challege.

Deezers watched her finish the assignment. He took his eyes off the koi swimming around in the water beneath him, and proceeded to the ground to give them probably the last task for the day. Krayte would be back any day now, and he wanted him to come home to enriched students who had learned a great deal in Krayte-sensei's absense. Katagi had sit there patiently while he wait for his new teammate to finish. Now that they were both done, he approached them both.
"Well, you both seemed to have excelled in that particular task, but now it's something more challenging. . .Katagi? You are familiar with this task, aren't you?
Well, for the latest addition to our team, which reminds me, your hird and last teammate is due here relatively soon, and she shows a great deal of promise, just as you two do. This will be one of the few shinobi teams with two girls and one guy, but that should never allow you to fall for the stereotype that girls are less than guys. . .
But I digress. . .For this test, I will put you both into a deep sleep, and send you into a dream. A dream that will quickly turn into a nightmare. You two will be required to work together to overcome the trap that is your own subconscious. Understood? Good."
After finishing the sentence, in an instance he put them both to sleep where they would face they're next challenge. As they open their eyes to find themselves elsewhere, just the two of them at the beach, it can be easily noticed in the distance, the monster they face. It swims through the ocean with rapid movements. Although it seemed to be hundreds of feet away just seconds ago, it is now only around 50 feet from shore, it's movements swift and sudden.
Leaping from the water, the ground shakes when this fifteen foot beast lands on the field of sand. Its fingers were connected by aquatic webbing, gills lining his jugular, green scales covering every part of its body aside from the deep red eyes and white thrashing teeth. It gives a grin, eyeing the two little gennin before revealing it's ability to speak,
"Haha, and I was just getting hungry too . . . Find it suiting for two shinobi children to settle my raging appitite . . ."
He spoke menacingly, then proceeded to lick his lips and slowly advance on the kids.

Katagi had a small day dream of Cassidy and the unknown team mate become greatly angered to the point where they grew to punch the little katagi to smitherines. "Oh man...two girls in one team? My brother warned me how girls can be scary." He thought about what Deezers said and when Katagi's sister constantly tortured her older brother by beating him up and not to mention his own teams Kunoichi. "As long as I don't act like Onii-san..." Soon enough Katagi didn't expect to be trapped in the illusion so fast, infact the last time he needed to meditate to get into his last dream. Opening his eyes as he felt the sand floor as he laid on his back he slowly stood up to hear the beautiful waves of the ocean "Nani?" He looked around noticing that he was in another setting from the Abunai Canyon in Iwagakure. "What the...?" He asked himself as he squinted at the open ocean to see the ocean disturb by a gigantic monster. He looked around wondering if he was the only one and luckily that wasn't the case as he found Cassidy laying not to far from where he woke up. Grabbing Cassidy and jumping twice to get some distance from the creature who was going to land on the beach with them. Knowing she would be awake now he would let her stand on her own, the monster on the other hand had disturbing features just like the other monster and that didn't end to be the best nightmare as he woke up from the Illusion when he was almost fully eaten. Katagi stared at the grotesque creature shaking a bit while inside he felt sick as this thing obviously dwarfed the two shinobi. "W-wait..we have to just wake up right?" Katagi said as he backed away a bit at the same time as the creature of their mind advanced on them. "I doubt we would be even enough for you to eat...I'm sure theres more food in the ocean then we could give you!" He said as he waved his two hands infront of him. It was odd to see Katagi go from such a foolish act to a serious one as he began to whisper to Cassidy. "This is just like last time...We both need to see that this is a dream and wake up from it." He then rubbed his foot into the sand as it felt as real as night and day. "Unless Neko-sensei wants us to do it in another way..."

She glaced over her shoulder and spotted her sensei not too far off. She wondered what he was thinking of and why he hadn't started yelling at her yet. She thought that was going to be their daily ritual... Turning away from him and towards her next victim, she stepped forward and struck the boulder solidly with her left fist. She still wasn't ready to use her right fist again, though the blood on her knuckles was already dried.

Pulling her hand back from the cracked and reduced boulder, she realized that now both of her hands were bleeding. She flexed her fingers to get rid of the numbness and tried to finish off the rock. No such luck... Damaged hands produced weak results. She gave off a sigh as she tried to contemplate what to do next.

The large water beast, dripping with some unknown slime took another slow step, bursting out with a cacophonic laughter, harsh and grating. He looked at the boy with his words.
"You little smart a** . . . Do you think I'm real? Do think after I murder you, anf cripple your weak little mind with teeth and claws, I'll go about my ways, living a rich life and grow old? No, I will disappear when the dreameater genjutsu ends.
But I'll give you the luxury of the benifit of the doubt. Say you escape the genjutsu, your subconscious makes the realization and rationalization that I don't exists . . . What if your friend isn't none so fortunate? You'll leave her to die. I'll swallow her whole and let my putrid and murky intestines eat her flesh, and it will be all your fault. So what will it be; save your self, or risk your own hide and fight me?"
He spoke as he took yet another slow step, lessening the distance between Katagi and the foul sewer slime that was this creature.
((This time the DC to escape, since Deezers upped the power of the genjutsu, is 22 will save))
