Roland made a wild gesture at the legs, "Right sure, where?" He glanced around again looking for anything safe but only coming up with more and more sand. He was about to say something else when someone strode by. Before Peyton or Roland could get out another word Caelius had casually grabbed the small hunter and flung him at the giant beast. Good news: Roland was no longer under the legs. Bad news: He was flying towards the beast. Flailing in the air he quickly summoned Sylvia using the hook of her blade to catch between the giant monsters moving parts. For a while he simply stayed there gulping slightly as he was carried about by the lumbering beast. "Oh ******** what do I do now...." << I wouldn't suggest jumping..... >> Roland went pale at the thought. HP: 4/40 Mist Trainee: Borrowing Death Ability Charge: 0/3

There were like, about a billion legs.

"I did!" She affirmed, nodding her head violently. "I can...I can really kick like, all the asses. I'm super tough, okay! But I don't...I...I don't know how to make you not hurt!" Never mind, that her shield was the one closest to shattering, that the remains of her shirt were still smoking from fire, and she was smaller, younger, and less experienced. She could walk off some hurts. She could probably walk off just about anything. But the thought of a Dawson shaped hole left in her life was beyond her ability to handle, and her face crumpled again. "You need to be more careful," she admonished, face dripping all tears and snot. Something large began to come down toward America, but the girl didn't seem to notice or move. medigel 5. A massive shape descends towards you - you realize belated it is the body of the centipede and for a moment your legs seize up, and you can't move. You need someone to QUOTE YOU to pull you away (or, if nobody does, you can just take the -10 damage). whoops

"Aww, honey, that ain' yer job," he told her gently. "Yer job's just makin' sure yer safe fer me, okay? N' kickin' asses. 'Cause I got a bad track record with those, heh." But though she was right, he did need to be careful, Dawson didn't acknowledge it. Some things you just couldn't help.
Like being constantly in danger of this coil or that smashing you.
Face set, Dawson kept hold of America, rolled, and pushed her out. His shield met with the leg just in time to avoid any direct damage, though the wave of sand knocked him off balance.
DAWSON HP: 7 (-2 per turn unless healed/defended for 5)

Huffing, Dawson scrounged for the runic at his belt. "'Sides, I got a few tricks up my sleeve too," he said with a pained grin, attempting to flourish the runic dagger, nearly dropping it, and then sticking it into the ground. Around them, a thin barrier appeared. He thanked God, Jesus, Mary, and the angels that this one worked better than last time. Even better, it seemed to finally ward off the poison that had been bothering him: now he was just soaked, sandy, sweaty, and bruised! "We're gonna hafta do that Jenga thing," he warned her. At the same time he was taken under, the bulk of the centipede crushed Stormy against the dune. She barely was able to reach her greatsword, but it didn't do her much good to have it anyway. She was quite sure, for a moment, that her legs had been destroyed rather than simply broken or pulled away; she couldn't feel them. A pang of cold fear shot through her-- And then it quite simply lifted itself off her, just enough for her to regain her legs and crawl away. " Damn it," she echoed as she got to her feet with a wince. Her legs were bleeding, strangely, despite the Fear shield still being in place. She tried not to think about it. STORMY HP: 28 Quote: 16. You get pinned beneath the massive shape of the titan as you try to move away from it. For a terrifying moment it feels like you can't feel your legs, and then the sand is shifting and you squirm out. Your legs sting, they're bleeding now, beyond the Fear shield, but you have to keep on moving. (10 damage, cannot go below 0 on this post).

"We'll have to try and round up some of the trainees," she commented as she jabbed Thane into the bulk of the titan. "This isn't a great first outing." Almost immediately Stormy was nearly swept off her feet, and she quickly pulled her weapon out before they were separated.
Something nasty and green spurted from the opening, hissing as it hit the sand. "Watch the wounds, Gale, I think it's leaking acid..." Because of course it did.

She was just watching all the time, when new people mingled and full hunters addressed the audiences and when the Death Assistant broke in and a few seconds later all they were in Sahara.
She was just watching and didn't do anything. As she expected, the uneventful orientation had turned into something risky. She curved her lips just a bit and then there were centipedes everywhere around them. The petite figure dealt with them with a cool face, on her grasp was a giant hammer glimmering some pinkish runes.
The earth shook rapidly and a titan appeared. The figure had most of her face hidden inside the hunter coat hood had her eyes sparkled in weird excitement. Her still body moved towards where the titan located.
The beast roamed as the shield blocked most of the impact of the tail swatting. The petite huntress didn't answered, it felt like at that moment, she was close to taste the death she wanted. She wondered whether dying there and the pains her sisters experienced, which hurt more. She stared at the titan squirmed its enormous body underneath and above the sand, her heart was bouncing rapidly but her expression was still plain. Body reaction to dangers had nothing to do with her feelings at all.

She looked like a statue standing at the shoreside, the sandstorm scratched her skin hurt but she didn't flinch. Last time in Sahara, she got a severe burn. It was already several years ago. In her mind, she was thinking what were on her sisters' minds when they were that close to death. They both had a bright and beautiful futures awaited for them but at that moment they knew all had gone, like those sands slipped from the gap between her fingers. "Does it really worth your lives?" She whispered, voice covered by the huge commotion the titan made. Surprisingly, the beast answered. She giggled. "Annoying, how long do you want to live then?" That might be the first time they had a proper conversation, the Nian thought about it but obviously it was not a good time to sit down and chat.
The petite huntress simply took a glance at the huge shape close to her then she glazed over in the yellow sandstorm. "It has been too long for me."

She flinched for a sharp swift pain over her left leg, it swelled at a fast speed. She stumbled but stilled herself in quick, feeling oddly dizzy as if the world around was spinning. Compared to the titan, they were so trivial. She looked around, watching at others struggled for a way out of the craziness. Then she stared at the hammer in her hands. Even with weapons, they did feel so helpless in front of the nature. Just like that time inside the car or facing those men, she could do nothing. It was ironic they had to fight against such omnipotent entities while they were all that feeble, like playthings. She missed them, she wanted to see them again when she was sick. Quote: Ouch! You got stung! It begins to swell into an angry red welt. You don't feel so good, a strange dizziness overwhelms you. The petite huntress glazing over didn't pay proper attention to her surroundings, when the beast yelled again it was too late to do anything. A leg of the titan was an inch behind her back, its movement had dragged a tone of sands together with it. The sand assaulted her and buried her like a big wave, it was a fearful sensation. She almost suffocated and it was ugly to die like that, so she struggled her way out. Yup, she wished to die but not like that. The intermediate moon trainee caught sight of an alcove but rather than make a run for it, she forewent the safety to find anyone who might need help. She spotted the familiar brightly colored hair of Sonja and ran to her.
"Hey! You awake? Stay with me," Joy's voice was firm as she tried to help hoist the new death trainee to their feet.

A 'once in a lifetime' opportunity was not what Kammy would call this. Bizarre and insane were words she would use, however. "...Strangest mount I've ever used." She commented as Sam was sent flying. She looked back to see if the trainee was alright, seeing her get up and run after the huge thing. That was good, but she wasn't sure what to do now, holding onto it's size with her bow. There was no way she could reach out and pull Sam onto it. She wasn't in any danger for now, and focused on trying to get sam back onto the bug. "Uh, try adding plus two to your speed stat" She called out to the trainee before amending her statement into pure English. "Wait, I mean run faster!" HP: 25
