Yes, it was published. ^^ See above, in one of Jaho's quotes. It has a link.

By the way, I didn't do anything on Halloween, so there is no pictuer. sweatdrop

And I have been shot. Twice. Once in each arm. It doesn't really hurt if you don't look. Looking makes it hurt because of a the whole psychology deal thingie. But now my right arm (Hepatitus B) is sore, and my left arm (Tetnus) is weaker than it was. And I probably have a mild fever and also a head ache. But that's okay! I'd rather have these ailnesses over some other ailnesses like depression or mono or something. mrgreen

I don't know if I'll have time to keep up with the submission thread this month! I'll definitely work on the draft at the end, but I won't be coming on Gaia very often, so the entry list needs to be updated...

Any takers???

I can contribute, but as for continual productivity... that's a negative. I actually wrote a prose poem, though.

Which is weird. neutral

Has the submission thread even been started? If not, I'll do it.

And I think we need to have some big new change or something so that we're all into it again and working more.

We could work on the minishop, or explore young writers' websites and try to give the people here some genuine exposure, if they want it. I found one webiste the tells you how to start a web zine that you can email to people, but it advocates a text-only format. So no flashy pictures or anything. I've also heard you can make money off of that kind of thing, but I'm thinking that if we make money the writers should too, and that's a lot of trouble.

*knocks* So is anyone up for my revolution? Because I do admit that even my intereset in our magazine has begun to slacken... sad

We could really use some more organization, and a more process. Perhaps a calendar thread that just has important dates.

The problem with the minishop is what we want to sell. Also we could have a thread that lists the different type of features we can do.

Book reviews might be good as well. Suggested reading lists.

You know, stuff that we can rotate in and out to not make things so static.

One thing though, we could seriously use a few more staff members.

Author interviews could be nice, or just WF regs. You know, a sort of get to know the people around the WF.

I also suggest that we all become published authors so that we can whore out our own books and look special. pirate

Oh, my God. I am so sorry! You must think I've been on hiatus or dead or something. I've been totally AWOL since October, haven't I?

...groveling over. Anyway, I'm just checking in to make sure that you don't need anything dire (and I do mean DIRE. It's November) and to...well...grovel. And to make sure that you knew I was still alive and I will be returning to the 'zine full-time come December.

...ooh. Rotating features. Sounds like a plan. Just let the graphics requests build up in my inbox if you need to.

Again, I am SO sorry about this. Please don't hate me. I'm not an AWOL team member. It's just...NaNo is a bit of a...a priority, I guess.

That and science fair.

...nah. Just NaNo.

sad Sorry!

Edit: You know, the published author thing would rock for publicity...and besides that, my NaNovel is looking almost like something that, with editorial redemption, someone might publish.

Hmm.

I want to send Congress a note...

Pst, I noticed you're going after oil companies for below average profit margins. I just thought you might want to know that in the top 120 revenue earning companies Microsoft boasted the highest margin at 31%. Their competitors offer their, much better quality, products for absolutely free. If you ask me you should investigate Microsoft for this highly shady set of statistics.

In good news though, I figured out what this months article will be about. My scholarship that I want to create for white middle class males.

Holy Shiite. I have been lazy, and everyone else is all wrapped up. So! 11 days left to put together one issue, pretty much single handedly. Crap. Can anyone else access the archive? Because I can't. And if we can't access the archive, we can't update it. I'll just save the last issue on my computer then, and delete it from the thread, and get started.

P.S. I'll be 16 tomorrow. Woo.

Actually, never mind about the Archive, because I just updated it. ^^ Now... I have an idea. A mini contest.

Question: Why is Litterature such an important subject?

Anyone in the next issue who can best answer the question will win some gold. I was thinking 1k, but we could also make this a regular thing, since it's so short and easy. Making it regular would mean we'd want to drop the prize amount. Or, if it's a really hard question, we could have a 3-strikes rule. If no one answers it correctly or doesn't quite hit on the exact answer, we publish the same question in up to 3 issues, hiking the prize each time. If still no one gets it, we post the answer in the 4th issue above the new question.

EDIT: And we could sell clues, if the person who created the question is willing to. But would it go to the press, or to the person? What should the set price(s) be? This could be part of the minishop too, you know.

And I didn't see a November submission thread. Meaning I have to choose from the Mounds. Joy. And I also have to update the indexes. Wonderful. This is what I get for procrastinating. Oh well.

2nd EDIT: And I have just noticed... we published ch. 7 of Badger Brigade twice, once in issue 7 and again in issue 9. Wow.

Or the prize of getting recognition, because unless I'm mistaken, we still can't access Guild funds, even after the revamp.

Sorry to be so lame, but I work full-time and go to school full-time.

Gotta' pay the bills.

If you need some junk to fill the the next issue with, I have plenty of old stories and witty essays you have have/use.

Hook me up with a PM if you need some help other than that.

And I'm pretty much swamped. Plus I need to get a bunch of s**t together for my senior portfolio, so my time is pretty much splat. But you'll get my scholarship parody this month, so that's good.
