I think that's about all I can think of on Lloyd's end. sweatdrop All there is left on my end is that exchange between Lilith and Azriel, then the thing Eloysio wants done at night. Then it's on to the next day.

Anything more out of Ilene and Sol?

LLM: Nope, nadda, zilch, zip, nothing. Anyway you want to say it, my answer no. I was just gonna make Ilene hand off the letter when they leave. And Sol is... doing Sol like things.
ONE MONTH LATER. orz. I think enough time has passed that Lloyd would no longer be in the dining hall anymore and taking a nap in some room, but it's up to you guys whether or not your characters are still there when Azriel steps in.
If they are and you're up with having them interact with her, she'll join them if anyone'll call out to her or something. :3

Ah, life! Anyway, I'll wait a bit to see if any of the other dining hall peeps will post, then post myself.
It's been quite a while. Come to think of it, upon further reflection (and notice of the sushi thing), why would ninjas have Ed's type of foodstuff? Maybe I can just say that he brought his own?... I don't know. I think I'll try to tone down the craziness of my posts. They're kind of embarrassing in hindsight. Sorry.
Anyway, stuff! I'll check in again soon and probably post.

EDIT: Now that I have posted, I've realized that I actually do have an idea for a small story arc (which could be worked into another scenario!). Should I PM you with it or just put it in a spoiler tag?

PM it if you want to insert it with the element of surprise. Put it in a spoiler tag if you don't mind sharing the info with all of us. 3nodding
I also wonder if the rest of us have planned small arcs for our characters as well? I know Vance has, and I kinda do too. biggrin

I seem to recall some people planning something a while back, or at least you asking them if they were.
Anyway, it's not really super-secret or groundbreaking, and isn't so much an arc as a scenario. Spoiler tag it is (white text too- spoiler tags don't seem to work in the topic review on the posting screen). If anyone else really wants potential spoilers, go ahead, especially if you want to help improve it. Hopefully this one makes a modicum of sense, even if it's a bit cheesy.
So, do we already have a scenario for Gnome's area? If not, this could work.
>Basically, his plot schtick is, classic were-style, worrying about losing himself. Even though he was transformed almost a decade ago, he still hasn't quite gotten over the trauma of being changed against his will, no matter how awesome his new abilities are. This has been wearing away at him for a while, causing unusual behavior.
-Eduardo seems concerned about something, and starts asking certain party members (werefolk, altered people such as Rhone) about the details of how they were changed if they feel any different than before their changes. He doesn't pry, but something seems to be up.
-Near one of the Summon Spirits' seals (or, if those are all taken, perhaps somewhere else, such as an abandoned Human Ranch), the party hears word of disappearances and unusual monster activity nearby. Apparently, many of these monsters are of the dragon type. Ed wants to investigate.
-The area is infested with monsters (including dragon-types and other, smaller monsters) and a few instances of what turn out to be weredragons. They are strangely organized, and are led by a "monster boss"- apparently the very same weredragon that transformed Eduardo several years ago, now with ragged wings and years of scars. Though he can speak in human form, the weredragon is living as a monster and has established himself as the local boss/alpha. As Ed and whoever comes along arrive, he has cornered and is preparing to convert some abducted travelers into more werefolk. Ed can't accept this, so he initiates a battle, viciously attacking the boss.
-When the alpha weredragon is defeated, Eduardo learns cheesy life lessons, etc. He realizes that while he could have become a monster, he did not; even when his body was changed, he chose to remain Eduardo, and nobody could change that. He starts to get over his traumatizing conversion, forgiving and sparing the weredragon. The path is now open to the party's objective (unless there are Gnomelettes or something).
-After the party meets the resident Summon Spirit (or through some other means if this venue is not available), he asks that the surviving weredragons be moved to a safe place where he could not harm anyone (giving them a second chance, and a safe place to live (such as a cave system) no matter which path he chose- man, monster, or somewhere in between).
-Having gotten over his problem, Ed's strange episodes and crazed behavior wind down, and he starts acting pretty much the same across both forms. He's still an odd fellow, though. That's natural. In any case, he pledges his full support to the party, and the main story continues.<
We've only got the default scenario in mind for the temples. You know---show up, do the dungeon puzzles, find the way to the boss. So yes, that would be a pretty good scenario to plug in. That's lookin' swell. emotion_yatta
So I'm guessing you'd want the Temple of Earth to be among the last that the party gets to? I mean, to allow some time for your character arc to unfold? Because the original plan was to just go to the next nearest temple---meaning, we'd start with the Temple of Lightning, then the nearest one after might be the Triet Ruins, then the Balacruf Mausoleum, and so on and so forth.
After the party learns of Chiaro and Oscuro, then I suppose Azriel could be one of the "altered people" Eduardo consults too? surprised I feel like she would have much to say on the matter.

Ah, I see. Will there be... Gnomelettes?
Perhaps they could be driven outside or into a specific region of the temple by the monsters or something, and this scenario could serve as one of their Herculean Gnomelette Tasks.™
There's not much to unfold, really. I'd suggest that it go in when it would be best for the natural flow of the storyline. That could be be soon (if the temple order leads to it and/or if people want more time to plan their own arcs or set themselves up to get more involved somehow) or later. Anyway, either way works for me. I'll just need to know a bit ahead of time before they get there so that I can start setting things in motion.
Anyway, if anyone is willing, I could put start a short skit (those have been pretty underused thus far!) after the buffet scene ends to start setting up the first traces of the arc. That wouldn't hold up the main thread, right?
As for your spoiler-tagged stuff...
If Azriel and Co.'s stuff is revealed by then, then probably. If not, he'd probably still have a few comments or questions, but be less prying and more casual about it.
Speaking of map order, do we have any idea what order things are going to be in after Balacruf Mausoleum? If the Balacruf Mausoleum is done after the Triet ruins, the best one I see seems to be Earth/Darkness (NE from Balacruf to Meltokio continent), Ice (south to Flanoir continent), Water (NE to Thoda Geyser), and finally Light (NE to Tower of Mana on the Asgard continent). Alternatively, that could be reversed if the Triet Ruins are done after Balacruf for somer reason. The map for reference. Anyway, we'll see.
Yeah, it could end up being one of the Gnomelette tasks. xd How many tasks do we want, though? Just that one, or a couple before we get to that? It would be totally in-character for the Gnomelettes to troll our party, but it could end up being kind of dragged out. (Unless we apply Quick Jump™ to the tasks other than your scenario...)

By the way, um...I think I'm gonna need a response from Lilith and Kai before I move on with Azriel?

Yes, speaking of map order! I believe we actually oughta huddle together and decide on that now, so we can figure out where to insert all our character arcs easier. There's still a lot to sort out aside from that, like where to make our main antagonists pop up, and what to do with the rest of the original cast and the cities. And maybe if we get this down it'd get the RP running a bit more...fluidly and faster?
So...actually, the "next closest destination" route would look like this to me:
Temple of Lightning v Triet Ruins v Balacruf Mausoleum v Thoda Geyser v Temple of Darkness v Temple of Earth v Tower of Mana v Temple of Ice v Heimdall v Exire
Okay, I know the distance from the Tower of Mana to the Temple of Ice is actually a huge stretch, but the ship we'll be getting from Vance's support characters will make things all the more easier. And of course...Origin and Maxwell just have to be last.
If you guys had other ideas for the route or organization of the plot, I'm all ears! smile

Remember how one of them was at Altessa's house? Perhaps something like that could happen. You know, something that was unintentionally accomplished earlier.
Anyway, that order sounds okay to me.
Come to think of it, I wonder if the spirits would say "I am one who is bound to Sheena" or something like that now?...

Do you mean the curry? I didn't know that could be accomplished earlier. xd But you mean, in the sense that the party already has something they're looking for?
Quote:

I don't think so...the party already knows she's bound to Sheena and the Spirits heard the conversation, so the wording would go more like, "You who seek this temporary pact, I shall test if you are worthy."
On an aside note, I've been doing a lot of canon review lately, and something makes me want to retcon Kratos' entrance. It's that Derris-Kharlan returns to the planet every century. Now, I know this should mean the timeframe would start directly after ToS1, but I'd think it could be off by a few years sometimes. surprised
