Zane did as she said, closing it tightly behind him as his back slumped against the wall. Looking over at her, his back skidded downwards until he now sat on the ground, his knees bent and his head facing downwards. "So where would you like me to bury the bodies?"

"Just shut up." She whispered, body limp against his though he shook minutely, barely noticiable, from the day's strain. Pink eyes closed gratefully, feeling at peace for the first time that day.

Zane was taken aback by Cherry's actions, but he accepted them. When she curled up to his chest he merely took a deep breath, and embraced her in his arms. His eyes now closed as his thoughts began to manifest themselves in his mind. Cherry, Axel, Sosay, Estellise, Kai, Akuma...they were all his responsibility. And now with the kage dead, and the only other high ranking shinobi's whereabouts are unknown, his need to protect them now increased. The letter he had received also worried him...what did council want to meet with him for? As he thought of this, he feel the peace that Cherry felt, and couldn't help but feel the same. He took another breath and all his worries went away for the time being.

Zane continued holding her in his embrace as he felt her peace. That's when he wondered how everyone else did first phase of the exams. They probably did well...he'd have to travel to the exam grounds to see their fights, especially Cherry's. He'll probably end up taking Sosay so that she can cheer on her brother and Axel. Taking a deep breath, he pushed that all aside. It was hard, because he was stressed, worried, frustrated, and exhausted. But at least he had a much needed moment's peace with Cherry here. This was what he found so special about her, regardless of whatever funk he went through...it seemed like she always surprised him and made it all go away.

Zane managed to make out what she said and sighed, his hand slowly stroking her shoulders as he answered. "I don't know...I guess it's just hard. You gotta understand Cherry, before you were assigned to me the only human contact I had was the Mizukage giving me an order and then me killing the target...that was it. I never cared or worried about anyone else. Now it seems that I have everyone counting on me...everyone looking for me...everyone even knows my name. And now with the Kage gone, I'm the only one that is able to protect this village." he told her. "I'm not saying this is all bad...it just seems to be a little overwhelming and...I'm just ranting now."

"Yes, but that was a single cup. Everything in moderation..." he told her, able to think more clearly now. "I only drank a bit because it helped calm the nerves after a mission, or after you worrying me to death. And I wasn't just lounging around, I was trying to relax," he chuckled slightly. "I was wrong...and I'm sorry," was all he could say.

"'m sorry 'oo" She mumbled, mouth barely opening for her words as both mind and body fell into the tendrils of sleep. The hand that was still tightly clutching at Zane's shirt barely loosened its grip in response.

Feeling her falling asleep, Zane didn't move, he didn't want to disturb her sleep. His head rested against the wall, his eyes shut as he too let sleep's warm embrace take over him. This day didn't have such a bad ending after all.

When Zane told her to forget everything he had taught her, she felt hurt. He was the first person she ever considered looking up to. Sosay walked around the dojo and came upon a room where she had seen Kai gather his stuff. She paused at the door gazing in, her head full of thoughts and worries. "I wonder how there doing now... she muttered, walking into the room. She sat beside his bed, leaning against it and looking out the window. She felt alone at the moment without any family around, almost like she had felt for the past few years she had been taken away. Sosay then began to close her eyes as sleep took over, until she lost the fight to keep her eye's open. She slowly slid over, her body laying on the floor.

She blinked away sleep and started to kneel up off of Zane, planting a soft kiss on his cheek before standing. 'I should go to the exams now.' Outou thought to herself, pink eyes soft from sleep as she gazed at the older male. "Back soon, Zane." She whispered before standing and leaving the building, already got all the belongings she would need for the exam.

Zane awoke to Cherry's kiss as she told him where she was going. "Good luck," he groaned...rather sleepish. He rose up and stretched as he decided to go into the bathroom, brushing his teeth and washing his face. Thanks to the icy cold water, he was now completely awake. He walked out and noticed Sosay completely asleep on the floor. He decided to apoligize for his behavior he'll cook breakfast so he went inside the kitchen and began cooking, along with heating up the water for tea.
