All right, here we go.
2x Space Marine Captains, one is equipped with a Power Sword and a Storm Bolter, the other a Power Sword and a regular Bolter.
A Librarian equipped with a Storm Bolter.
A five man Assault Squad with one unit equipped with a Plasma Pistol and the sergeant with a Storm Shield and a Power Fist...I think...
I have 11 Terminators but they are all equipped kind of funky so I sort of just proxy them to whatever I need some of them are extremely old so they came oddly equipped.
I have two Devistator Squads, one is equipped with a Las Cannon, Rocket Launcher, Plasma Cannon, and a Heavy Bolter, the sergeant is equipped normal with a Chainsword and a Bolt Pistol. The other squad has a Las Cannon, a Multi-Melta, a Heavy Bolter, and a Plasma Cannon, the sergeant is equipped with a Power Ax and a Bolter.
I have a Dreadnaught that is equipped basic, with the Multi-Melta, the Dreadnaught arm, and the Storm Bolter.
I have enough Marines to make four ten man Tactical Squads, the only one would be equipped with special weapons because I have only one Flamer and one Rocket Launcher for them.
Then I have a Razorback/Rhino I didn't glue everything together so I'm able to swap out parts to change it back and forth. The Razorback has a twin-linked Las Cannon and a Storm Bolter, it also can have the hunter killer missile.
I have an old Predator that is equipped with a Autocannon and Las Cannon sponsons.
Then finally I come to my latest buy, a Land Raider, the basic Dual twin-linked Las Cannon sponsons, the twin-linked Heavy Bolter, the Storm Bolter and a Hunter Killer.
I believe that's about it for my Space Marines.

Some of them in the original squad they were in had the Storm Bolter and the Chainfist why others had the Power Hammer/Storm Shield and the Lightning Claws. So I can't really make a full squad of either types of Terminators without calling them proxies. I have two Terminators with Lightning Claws, One with a Power Hammer and Storm Shield, two with the Storm Bolter and Chainfist, the Sergeant has a Storm Bolter and a Power Ax which I don't even know if it's in the rules anymore...Then the other ones are the basic Terminators with the Power Fist/ Storm Bolter combo, I have five of those with the new bases and the sergeant I think has a Power Sword and a Storm Bolter.

Well the chain fist is an upgrade of the power fist so those termies can be used in a standard terminator squad. The power ax for your sergeant is ok too. It is in the rules as a power weapon as is a power sword and power maul.

I just don't really have enough to make a ten man squad of either type without proxying them.

You don't have to. A standard squad of Terminators is 5, but you can add more marines up to 10. I know a lot of guys that run 8 man squad of Terminators so that they can be transported by a Land Raider Crusader.

Volan d Vol I figure something basic, I think 1500 points is the norm right? Somewhere between 1000 and 1500 points is about the average. For my part, I generally write lists all the way from 500 points and up, it helps give practice fitting the units you want into smaller point restrictions. It helps get a faster reply if you quote somebody's post, so they get a notification on the top bar. 3nodding

Here's a miniature Eldar list for my next painting project. It's small and very anti-tank oriented, because I'm matching it as allies with my Tallarn 600pt tournament list, which is very anti-infantry oriented. Here's the Eldar list, and below is the Tallarn list for reference (though it's already finalized). Either can technically be the secondary detachment, though it's designed to be about a 50/50 force in the 1300pt range.

I just never cared much for quoting, and I'm not in much of a hurry for advice to be honest contrary to how it may look...
I haven't played Warhammer in almost a year now...I have everything I need, I just haven't gotten to play.

Do you live somewhere without any other gamers nearby? You might consider Vassal as an alternative to get some playtesting done with lists as you write them.
