As Luo's secondary clone nodded towards Sayrui's explanation, he jotted down a few words that went unread by both the jounin and genin which stood in his presence. As Tares issued her to begin the initial parts of the exam, Luo did not contest as he waited for her to prove her talents. He did however, write down things that seemed rather odd to him about her behavior, never taking stock in things most if not all saw as normal.

As the original clone shook Orochi's hand, he quickly receded the shake as his hand laid limply at his side watching the man take notice of what he assumed to be Tares' name. Luo wondered why the man thought the mist was foolish enough to print the name of their ANBU members on the flack jackets they wore, but paying no mind as if pretending to allow the man to see the identity of Tares printed clearly on his shirt asked Orochi, "So if I may ask, what brings you here to Kirigakure? Togusa clearly had a motive however, you and Emily had no reason what-so-ever to be within the confines of my village. If I may be so bold as to say......which by all means I may given my position.......you of all people were the one to put her in the position you blame Togusa for putting her in. If you are truly her sensei, then why did you leave her in another's care? Surely you must have kept watch over Emily at all times and at all costs. Not only that, but surely you made sure she was safe within my village at all times. Otherwise, whose to say at all that you are truly a sensei worth recognizing?"

Although what Luo said sounded rather insulting, he was merely challenging the man with a few short questions. It wasn't rare for Luo to ask such questions of men and women alike who were taken into high regard as saanin's of other villages, but to be honest Luo felt as if some of them didn't even receive the position without some sort of mental test. Speaking to Luo, was a test in itself. If passed, Luo did not regard a kage with a sort of sadness of intelligence that passed over his mind. And this sadness was not rare, for his very best friend received not only this sadness, but his wrath for when they met. For Zane was in Luo's book a complete idiot, blessed by the gods with the strength and fortitude for battle that could not be matched by normal men. But for those not of the Kazekage's caliber, Luo had a different way of measuring them, and it was by no means pretty.

((lol, I should say he only thought of the name for you said it))

Orochi smiled grew a tad broader, and his head hung alittle, his hair falling over his face slightly. Straightening his stance up he stood up once more and looked at man before him. "Mmhm, why?" He said, his voice smooth and calm, his arms folded. "Emily's reason for being here is rather clear, Togusa brought her along for he took interest in her to join this little group of his I'm sure he has told you about, revolving his skills of bring diplomatic and section 9 of Iwa security department. As I was busy he took over some of her training before bringing her out to here to discuss an alliance with you." He said, letting the latter take in the information he was giving him before resuming. He wasn't bothered by the insult at all, though rather seemed amused by it. "As for me...who is to say I shouldn't take a visit in the village we're supposively having an alliance with, so I know who we're exactly becoming allies with? Was I ultimately concerned she would be in a dangerous place? I figured her other sensei would be watching. Of course, I should of been the one to be with her instead, but where I went it would of been more dangerous then here for her. And I couldn't risk it, risk her being on a high level classified mission, now could I? Wouldn't it much more endangering to her, as well as the sake of the mission that'll allow us to know activity of other enemy village and organization alike? Let me ask you something Mr. Ushio, if you had LT here and one student. You had to go on an S rank mision that would require you going to a foreign land where criminals rule and constant threat is everywhere. Your to gain vital information about them and bring it to the village, this information is important and if the mission is endangered not only would it reveal you but also put you under attack. Would that be a proper place, even with a sannin, for a genin? What would you do? Would you leave your genin in the hands of LT? Do you trust him enough?" He asked, answering his questions with some answers and questions.

As the man spoke, Luo found himself in agreement somewhat with what he said, although in truth there was 'fat' within the sentence structure that could've been trimmed, a beyond minuscule observation Luo had the unfortunate pleasure of picking up on. And as the man answered his question with yet another set of questions, Luo's posture changed slightly as his rested position straightened to the posture of a man who was groomed to sit and speak with eloquence. "Well to be honest, you're posing a rather superfluous scenario. If I were to have an S-ranked mission of reconnaissance of that nature, I'd send LT with members of the ANBU. It's just that sort of mission that villages have such a division in place. If anything, I'd trust him enough to get the mission done. That would eliminate me having to separate myself from my student in the first place. However, it is always good to see young faces gaining experience in foreign policy. It seems all to rare these days that villages take the time to teach such a vital skill to their future protectors. But who is to say that visiting the village you are to ally with is any sort of crime? What could be said however, is seemingly how small your trust of our alliance must be for you to make the journey all this way in order to see just who your ally may be, and where they live. It also shows somewhat how little faith you have in Section 9's ability to conduct their job properly, because I suspect that above all else their duty in diplomatic affairs is to survey the landscape and people of the village with which they bring themselves to. But I suppose your presence is welcomed at a time where your student may have been lost in foreign land, and as a rather well spoken representation of Iwagakure's shinobi." With a smile that read as sincere, Luo's face save for the odd glimmer from Orochi's earring's which caught his eyes, was overshadowed by the large hat he wore which cast a dark shroud down to the bridge of his nose. Waiting for the man to respond, Luo took a long sip of the coffee which had now had a bit of time to cool, reveling in its taste if only for a moment.

The sannin closed his eyes, a chuckle came from him indicating the amusement of the situation. "I must say, I should of stated this alittle better. Of course you'd be able to send out the ANBU unit and LT, you are the mizukage after all. I have no jurisdiction of the anbu unit of Iwagakure. As a matter of fact...I never even met the new Tsuchikage. I left the village for...personal matters while Jade was the leader. We never really were the closest of friends at all. Shortly after she died as you have heard..." He said, smiling once more almost as if he was enjoying a joke. "I've been wondering around for a long while, and decided to return to the Rock in rumors of the new kage." He said, though he had no intention of saying where he was, what he was doing, and why he was doing it. Though he hadn't shown this emotion on his face, it was merely in the back of his mind. This of course would raise confusion, for then there was no telling how much he really knew of things, whether or not he should know them. "We have different methods my dear Mizukage, there simply somethings genins are meant never to see. Shouldn't see, in fear they keep their mind in one piece. As for my 'lack' of faith in an alliance, who is to say that is the case? For all we know, it could be that. It could be me merely wanting to see my fellow shinobi? Or maybe....I am conducting a test of my own" He said, alittle darkly and paused for a moment, then smiled. "I'm only kidding you, but I have faith in the alliance. As I can tell it has gone well, and your shinobi are well mannered....for the most part" He said, the last part hinted at the young girl who was by the door. His face was now calm, a faint smile on his pale skin. He took a long sip of his own drink, before bringing it back down and nodded to Luo. "As I must thank you for your hospitality...it would seem Kirigakure no longer holds its bloody title anymore" He said, noticing that most of the genin around were not blood thirsty at each other and such. And the shinobi here were more civilized then their old past.

"You'll never understand me..."

xxxxSayuri’s eyes never left Tares’ as he spoke, the icy blue depths riveted on the bloody crimson of his Sharingan-imbued eyes. She listened to his questions carefully, her sharp ears catching every word, every inhalation, which left his lips as he spoke, breaking the silence in the small room. The very last part of his instructions, however, had her raising an eyebrow and tilting her head slightly to one side, her hand straying to rest her fingertips against the worn hilt of her katana. She blinked, almost as if trying to clear the confusion from her eyes, an action that she knew would not go unnoticed by either Luo or Tares. Moving her arm in a sort of sweeping gesture towards the glass of water, Sayuri directed the thin, shimmering ribbon of water towards the glass, careful to keep her chakra melded with the water molecules. A small crackling noise could be heard from the glass as the water froze itself over. Exhaling the breath that she had begun to hold without realizing the action, the water melted in sync with Sayuri’s concentration on her breathing and chakra flow.
xxxxThe liquid before Sayuri rose in front of her as she manipulated it into an elliptical shape, suspended in the still air between her and the two higher-ranking shinobi in front of her. The surface of the water rippled and shimmered before suddenly smoothing and having the appearance of glass. The seconds ticked by as Sayuri concentrated on the water until the substance was completely reflective. Her azure eyes blinked, her brow was furrowed in concentration, as she read the words slowly that were inversely printed on the board behind her.
“Esse quam videri.” Her voice was a whisper, her throat suddenly dry as she spoke almost silently into the ever-quiet room. “To be, rather than to seem.” With a sudden splash that came with her sudden loss of concentration, the water splashed to the floor, droplets spattering her clothing slightly and clinging to her exposed skin. Cursing under her breath, Sayuri melded her chakra into the water that had fallen to the floor and caused the liquid to rise back up into the air in a shapeless mass. In almost slow-motion, the indistinct form of the water transformed, resembling a torso, which sprouted a head and extremities. A clone of Sayuri straightened up and regarded Luo-sama calmly, with slight curiosity. “What I currently know about the Silent Blade taijutsu style is more in words than it is in actions. The style focuses on pressure points within the human body, like here,” She touched the tip of her index finger to the crease of her clone’s elbow. “And here.” Her fingertip pressed gently to her clone’s jugular vein. “Other than that, my training so far has been running while outfitted with the weighted vest that is currently being worn by LT-sensei.” The gentle cadence of her voice was coupled with a gesture towards her sensei, her… friend… Her loved, who sat next to the Lord Mizukage.

Not being able to withstand it any longer, Luo let out a deep chuckle, standing slowly to meet the eyes of the man whom had held up his own in the rather small debate. As his head slowly rose, Luo's face was at last revealed. His youthful and well manicured skin would most likely come as a surprise to the man whom would have presumably assumed Luo to have been at the least seven years older than he truly was. "You remind me of my sannin, except younger and with less hubris. It is good to know that Iwa has a man with his head on his shoulders, and his mind in the right place. But I thank you for the compliment, my sensei and the former Mizukage began the process of changing the way our village was viewed, however there were many who feared the change and in the end he was assassinated in a coup. But as for things genin should and shouldn't see, if one cannot keep a steady mind in any given situation, then they do not have the mental fortitude for being a shinobi. I think above all else a shinobi whether of genin rank or kage rank, should above all else be capable of keeping a level head no matter what they see in the field."

Zaiaku saw the face of the Mizukage, showing a bit of surprise at how young he was, but same time further amused with wonder at the kage who was much younger then he anticipated. A smile flickered across his face as he heard what Luo had said. "As I will thank you for the compliment as well, both yours and LT's previous comment. It wouldn't be the first time someone has called me by that name. While it is ashame that the previous Mizukage died due to wanting 'change', but it looks like his dream was realized still. I also approciate your thoughts of what gennin should see and shouldn't see, but at the same time it'll be a make it or break it as far as their minds. Do not forget, some things seen can greatly change one's outlook on life, and goals. We so what we can for now...rather not have a manic born like in the past now do we" He said, adding a bit of humor though it was honestly true. Both of them were correct, for in the past shinobi like Itachi Uchiha witnessed events that forever changed them. However, same time there'll be worse things out there, and if one cannot deal with the pains and agony of the shinobi world, they won't live very long at all. "Your much younger then I anticipated, if I may include" He said with a smile, being interested by how a young man like himself became Mizukage

As Luo's clone removed the large hat allowing the blue silk strap which hung loosely a few inches under his chin to catch the hat which now rested on his back, Luo ran a hand through his hair to straighten it out and allow it to fall in a more natural way. His style of robe resembled the 4th Hokage's short sleeves and hemline on the bottom, although of course following the color and pattern of the water shadow. "I agree with you on that front. I suppose the life of a shinobi is very delicate in what can and cannot be sustained mentally. Just as well, it would be best to say that it isn't so much what a person witnesses that may change them alone, but the way their mind works as well. Some things just don't have the same impact on one that they may have on another."

Picking up the mug on his desk, Luo took a sip of the coffee and turned to look out of the floor to ceiling panoramic view of Kirigakure his offices offered him. Watching the light play through the mist, Luo answered the man's question which he hid quite well under the veil of peaked interest. "Your face for a moment there seemed to question why the Kiri council would place a nineteen year old 'boy' as it would seem as the leader of their village, and council to the daimyo of water country. The answer to put it simply, is that as I said earlier my sensei was the former Mizukage. In his death, I took revenge on those who killed him; all thirty three men suffered a fate best not mentioned at my own hands. To be honest I regret the act as one of my most foolish and headstrong decisions. Perhaps if I were not filled with what I could only call rage, I would have been capable of another method of dealing with the situation. But alas, because of that act, my record as a shinobi, my having followed the Mizukage directly, as well as my ascension to the head of the largest clan in Kirigakure, it seemed for some reason only natural for the council to pick me of all people. But between you and I...and I suppose everyone else in this room, the position was never something I strove for. I think of it as being rather ironic in nature, and I'm sure you will too once you realize what I mean."

Taking another sip of the brew, Luo watched the villagers go about their daily lives, his well adjusted eyes piercing the mist which permeated the village below. At his level however, things were quite clear, the sunlight hitting his room beautifully. Often he heard people liken his quick ascension to jounin from the academy to Itachi, and even more so that Luo's father was in the ANBU and wished for him to join as well when he was a chuunin. It was a comparison Luo didn't particularly like, to be compared to a madman who murdered the better part of his whole clan. But in a sense, the comparison was true and Luo knew it. He often wondered if intelligence drove people mad, but threw away the thought when he was in the presence of a man as intelligent and wise as his grandfather.

Zaiaku listened to him, hearing his story on how he came to be Mizukage, a position he didn't really strived for. But took on full responsibility without a problem. Leaning against the wall, his hair slightly over his face, but enough to cover it alittle save the eyes. "Its funny, how rage gets you in a position your not wanting to take. Becoming, for the moment, the very thing you thought you'll avoid. Of course at once you took on the position. Fate has an odd way of selecting people doesn't it? But regardless, look how things have gone for you." He said, jestering towards the window where the villagers moved about their daily lives and chores.

"Some seek the kage position for power....some seek the position for recognition and respect. And some do it to better their village and help it prosper. Which do you consider, seeing that you have been kage for awhile now. Surely it goes more in depth, and surely its no simple reason. What do you get from it" He asked, wondering how exactly Luo will answer the question.

Tapping his mug quietly as he held it in both hands, Luo continued to listen to the sounds of the village, watch the steam rise from workshops and restaurants near hot springs, and to look out towards the edges of the view to see the farmers who took residence next to naturally occurring and self sustaining pools. "I do the job out of necessity. I didn't take the position for power, because in truth it's a rather restricted job at times. Your sensei is now a council, your kage now the daimyo. The power given to you always remains with your men and women down there. It's the villagers who hold power, not myself. Without them, this title and office mean nothing. As for recognition or respect, that was not the reason either. There is no greater duty in my eyes than to serve your village first hand, not sit behind a desk and preside over the men and women who do so daily. A shinobi gains respect through modesty, humility, and strength of character. Surely I don't need a robe and a hat in order to act in such a manner. What I get from this job, is the satisfaction of knowing my people are without a doubt under the strictest of care. Free from ridicule or persecution once riddled in our past. I get to watch them go about their lives daily without fear, and speak without that same emotion as well. I get to hear their voices above all else, and I get to personally see to it that each and every villager of Kirigakure prospers in any way shape or form suitable to their lifestyle. As they have called me the pride of the mist, I get the pleasure of being proud of the mist. In short, I get my people." Finishing his coffee, Luo turned around to face Zaiaku once more, his hair wafting lazily behind him. Placing the mug on the table, there was a silence for a moment as Luo seemed to be staring directly at the sannin, although in truth his mind was elsewhere.

And as he stared off upstairs, the clone downstairs watched Sayuri take her exam. Scratching down a few things, the loud splash of water followed by the girl cursing under her breath caused him to make a slashing motion briefly on the exam sheet. Her face held tension and nervousness, and not that of a normal genin either. It seemed more than just the opportunity to be a genin hinged on this test, and it was eating at her. As she finished, Luo's pen continued until at last it was placed on the table carefully as he looked up. "Well you performed well despite the mishap in the middle of the exam. The reason that happened is because your mind seems to be elsewhere, lowering your rate of concentration. At the beginning you looked a bit confused for a moment, but I won't dwell on it or ask why. All in all although not perfect, you did a good job of demonstrating pressure points even for the little you showed." Grabbing one of the many styles of headband in front of him, Luo tossed the girl one with a nod. "Congratulations Sayuri Hageshii, the Blonde Fox: You have passed your genin exam. I see here you are a summoning specialist. If you'd like, I have a few weapon summoning jutsu you might be interested in."

Zaiaku nodded, appearantly agreeing with the man. "Well spoken..." He said as his mind wondered for a moment. Coming back to reality he smiled and nodded to the Mizukage. "It seems we have been here long enough. I'm sure the kage is probably wondering what has happened to her nins. Its been a pleasure meeting your acquaintance. Togusa..." He said, indicating the time to leave. He set his mug on the counter, knowing it doesn't belong to him and saw it necessary to return it. Turning to Luo he smiled, extending a hand. "We'll be meeting again sometime in the future. Perhaps, as far as the new generation goes....we'll be seeing some that is....extraordinary then usual." He said, as such time eventually they more then likely will. And also the new generation part he was indicating to the very unique shinobi that come across once in a blue moon. This could mean one may be coming, or simply a hope that will eventually come true.

Shaking the man's hand, Luo's frame of thought snapped back into the room. "It was certainly a pleasure to meet you, both of you. I'm sure this will be the first of many meetings." As he let go of the hand, Luo nodded a bit as he added, "Let us hope that the new generation does not bring forth any sort of menace. But more than that, let's hope that they prosper." Nodding towards Togusa, Luo's eyes flitted back and forth slowly as if scanning the room for something that wasn't really there. As his gaze rested back on the Iwa sanning, Luo's smile remained.

As Luo spoke upon the evaluation of the exam Tares kept writing notes in the folder laid out before him. After several seconds LT took a red pen and made circles around certain topics on his note sheet before passing the several pages of notes and the file over to Luo for him to sign off on with the final approval. LT pulled another peice of paper from the folder and scanned it, looking up towards Sayuri as if waiting for her to say something, but the gaze of his still blood red eyes feel back down to the paper before him. He finished scanning it and placed the folder back in an un-labeled stack before turning to the new genin in the room. "Congratulations, you have some time before your assigned squad will be formed, you may go celebrate if you want. I recommend you go continue your training in the hunter-nin style as soon as possible for more effective... performance in the future." LT looked around the room waiting for the next academy student to enter and take his exam, in the mean time he leaned back in his chair and folded his arms across his chest. "Oy Lord Luo, this reminds me, i have been meaning to discuss with you the placement of the new genin into squads. Do you have any ideas in mind?" LT new it was a silly question to ask his mizukage who could multitask on multiple battles and engagements at once. Luo probably already had a placement in mind of every new genin and squad leader.

xxxxSayuri’s mind worked quickly as Luo spoke, her thoughts flickering between directions so quickly that she nearly got dizzy. Catching the headband that Luo threw to her, Sayuri’s right hand, clutching the cloth emblazoned with the Mist symbol on a steel plate, slid into her pocket, coming up empty afterwards. She smiled and bowed deeply, with a quick wink at Tares before she spoke, all traces of nervousness gone from her face. She snorted derisively as LT suggested that she either go and continue her training, or go celebrate. There was no way that she was even going to consider budging without him accompanying her, and she was prepared to be as stubborn as necessary to get him out of that room.
xxxxblack]”Actually, Mizukage-dono, I wanted to really focus my summoning training on looking into Boss and animal summons, like the three legendary Sannin of Konoha were able to do. I doubt that I’d be able to actually summon Gamabunta, Manda, and the Slug like them, but I was kind of thinking along those lines. I was going to go to the library and look into the summoning contracts that still are known to currently exist, if that’s okay.” Sayuri’s right hand returned to its usual position, resting on the worn hilt of the katana that she wore sheathed on her hip. “I was going to visit the House of Demascus, with your approval, of course, and check on a sword that I asked Sares Demascus to repair for me?” Her statement rose up a bit at the end in pitch, making her sentence into a question.

LT sat there for a couple moments waiting for Luo to respond, finding that there was no way Sayuri would leave with out him he sighed and rubbed his temples. "Very well, we can go see the House of Demascus." LT began to rise from his chair and head out of the exam room, "Luo if you need me one of my clones should be hear shortly." LT openned the door and walked out, on his way out he noticed a boy studying the human body. It looked like he was training to be a hunter-nin and was preparing for his exam. "If you are ready to take the genin exam i would head in there now. Good luck."
