Osu ran down the path with a delighted giggle, flinging his arms wide and spinning around energetically. Yassu had wanted him to do some writing practice this morning, so he hadn't been outside yet. The sun was nice and bright, and hopefully Yassu would hurry up and come soon after he'd finished using that little white stick that he stuck in his mouth.

Osu didn't know what it was, but it smelled nasty to him. He didn't know why Yassu liked it, but maybe it was just a grown up thing. He always used it outside anyway, where the wind made the smell go away. Bouncing up and down on the spot, Osu waited for Yassu. Then, something caught the corner of his attention. Hearing voices nearby, the dynamic little Aerandir spun around on his heel to find out what was going on. A little way away he could see people and other Aerandir. The sight was enough to make him drop the idea of waiting for that slow-coach Yassu, and he darted over towards Foenix, Nehanda, Fae and Pueblo.

"Hiya!" he called, waving excitedly.

Finishing the remains of his cigarette, Ieyasu stubbed out the butt before exhaling a last stream of smoke into the air. He'd told Osu to go on ahead a little, since he didn't like to smoke around the kid. He'd have gone outside himself beforehand, but Osu was just far too eager to keep inside for longer. Heading down the path from the house, Ieyasu adjusted the weight of the bag on his back. He didn't want to leave the jar by itself back in the house, just in case something happened. He figured as long as he was careful, the jar would be ok in the bag.

Reaching the end of the path, Ieyasu looked about for Osu. Where had the little monster run off to? Frowning, he looked first one way and then the other.

"Osu?? Where are you!?" He paused for a moment before catching the sound of Osu shouting to someone else a short distance away. Ah, so that's it.. Turning in the direction of the sound, he headed down the wider path. Spotting Osu, he then caught sight of the other four. Hopefully the little spellweaver wasn't troubling them too much. Striding quickly to catch up, the kitsune offered a wave of greeting to the girls.

Pueblo's lips twisted as her friend wrapped an arm around her. "Yah, dis is my brother, Zanzibar," she said proudly and held the jar up for everyone to see. She rested it upon her head and flattened her ears. "He's a lemer an' a ... um.." she looked to Fae for help.

"Magpie," she mused as she caught up with the group. "It's so nice to see you guys again," she commented and ruffled Pueblo's wings. Looking to the pack on Nehanda's and Foenix's backs, she corked an eyebrow in question. "Where we headed?" she asked, making it clear that she wanted to be with her friends.

Pueblo looked up again. "Tell dem how you gots Pie, Fay!" she insisted, wanting the attention on her 'mysterious' sibling again.

Fae sighed. "It's not much of a story really... I just happened to be there at the fortunate time," she smiled.

With a satisfied answer, Pueblo's tail flicked side to side and seemed to take great pride in it. She lowered the jar to keep it snugged in her arms again when something orange was suddenly standing next to her. Giving a slight jump, she smiled shyly at Osu. "Hi Osu! I haveent seen you fer long time," she said outloud and gave a weak smile. He was always sooo energetic.

Foenix returned Yasu's grin as she knelt down to get a better look at the jar in Pueblo's arms. "Wow. That's really neat, Pueblo! I'll bet he's going to be very handsome." She admired the bold patterns of the fluff and feather.

Hoisting herself back up to her feet, she patted the shoulder strap of her pack. "Nehanda finished her lesson early today, and I suggested a walk and a picnic! We haven't been up to the north end of the island in months, so I thought we'd head in that direction. Is that okay with you both? I packed plenty of food, so we should be good to go."

Nehanda nodded eagerly and reached out to grap at Yasu's pants. "Please say yes! You and Osu should come with us!" She left go of his pants and grabbed at Osu's hand. "We haven't gotten to play so much. So we should!"

A thought struck her. Pueblo had introduced the Aerandir to be as Zanzibar. So why . . . "Why's you calling him Pie, Peblo? Is it 'cause that's his bird? Or is he gonna like eating pie?"

Ieyasu grinned as Nehanda tugged at his pants, glancing down at the girl. Well, why not? It would be nice to go somewhere different, and it would be good for Osu. He'd get a chance to see the other guardians for more than a few moments too.

"Sure, we'll come. It sounds fun."

"Yay!" Osu bounced up and down on the spot before Nehanda grabbed his hand. He turned to beam at the older child. "We can play and stuffs! It'll be fun!"

Turning to Pueblo, the bouncy Aerandir giggled. "Pie's a fun name! He's cool - he's all stripy and stuff like Sash'ka!"

Ieyasu smiled and nodded at Fae's words, his gaze falling to the jars being held by the young artist. "That's great to hear. Congrats on your new charge too - it looks like he'll be awesome." Grinning, he reached a hand back behind him to pat his backpack.

"We've got another new addition to the house too - well, two in fact. Nyxa's been charged with more artifacts too. The house isn't going to have any peace at all soon - not that that's unusual already anyway with the terrible two." He grinned, glancing down at his excitable charge.

Fae walked on the end next to Foenix, listening to Ieyasu. "So you're living with Nyxa now? What exactly happened to your house?" she asked, wondering what the damage was and if she could help. Fae mused. "And I didn't know there were so many new artifacts on Cetalu.. Congratulations though!" she hurridly added.

A half step behind Foenix, she followed along in her wooden sandles. They wern't the best for traveling in but she wasn't about to hold everyone up. So instead, if the ground decided to get any uneasier or soft, she would simply take them off. Afterall, it was getting much warmer outside. She nodded her head absently, silenting agreeing with Foenix.

Pueblo gasped as she was dragged with Nehanda. "Pwease! Zenny iz frag-eel," she cried. Going back to the adults, she handed the jar off to Fae. "I dun wanta git him broked," she whispered, then ran ahead with the other two.

She watched Nehanda's wings flap like mad, then started flapping her own. "Watch ME fly!" Doing a circle around Nehanda, her large tawny-designed wings gave giant swoops. Try as she might, she was still grounded. Giving a sigh of tiredness, she settled back down and looked at Osu. "Her name iz Sha-sh-kuh? Huh, that's pretty!" she simpered. It didn't sound like a normal name and she liked that. Stretching her wings again, she touched Osu's handsome black and white ones. "Can Osu fly yet?" She wondered when they would learn.

Nehanda giggles at Osu's antics and switched from skipping to bouncing. Her wings beats added a little extra height, but that was all. "I can't wait to fly! Feenix keeps sayin' that I'ma gonna . . ." she screwed up her face as she tried to remember the exact words, and her long braid bounced about on her shoulders. "I'ma gonna knock all sorts's years off her life an stuff when I start flyin."

She looked at the jar that Pueblo had left with Fae. "That's be cool when Pie and Sashikin can play. But I like stuff that stays still, too. Then you get to watch it as much as ya want, and no one tells you it's rude ta stare!"

Foenix nodded sympathetically at Yasu. "Well, let me know if you need any help once you start on your house. I may not able to lift walls, but I can hammer nails and paint with the best of them!." She reached into her bag and pulled out a thermos containing iced tea. After taking a swig, she offered it to the others.

Osu giggled again as 'Handa began to bounce up and down too. He stopped as she said that she'd take years off of Foenix's life and gave her a curious look.

"How'd you do dat? D'you bump into her and stuff falls off?" If that happened when he started flying, he'd need to be careful. He didn't think Yassu would like bits of him falling off. After a moment, he moved on. Spinning around in a circle, his wings and tail fanning out, he then bounced up and down again.
"But stuff that stays all still don't move! Its better when they move an' play an' stuff!"

As Pueblo fell over, Osu's expression changed. Peblo got hurt! His scarlet eyes turning concerned, he dashed over to the older Aerandir. "You oki, Peblo??"

Ieyasu smiled at the other two. "Thanks. I will do." As Foenix offered him the thermos, he shook his head. "No thanks - I'm fine." Turning his glance back to the kids, he noticed that one of them had fallen. He quickened his pace to catch up to them, just to make sure that they were alright.
