Damn, should have taken her to the office instead of the kitchen. Keeping the ice on her arm he kissed Moya on the head, lifting Shilo up and holding her close with the ice. With how he held her it could look like she was tired if she started crying and Moya wouldn't see. "We were running home and she found a tree root. It'll be fine, it's just sore."

Moya sighed and leaned on the counter, crossing her arms over her stomach. "Alright, next time you go out, please be careful? I know you didn't mean for this to happen, I just worry." She kissed Shilo's head softly and then Nik's cheek.
Shilo yawned and turned her head to look at her mom with a smile, her tears had stopped for now and she wanted her to know that she was alright.

He nodded and grabbed Moya's hand, kissing the back of her knuckles before releasing her. "I'm sorry we made you worry." When Shilo turned he shifted his grip on her, still holding her. "Come on kiddo, it's time you took a nap." Kissing Moya one more time he took Shilo upstairs, sitting on the window seat with her in his lap as he looked outside.

Moya nodded and followed them up into the room, sitting down in the rocking chair and watching them.
Shilo looked up at her dad before moving around a bit to get comfortable so she can fall asleep easier.

He smiled when she repositioned, stroking her hair lightly. The last time Shilo had slept on him had been the day after they brought her home. That was about a week ago, and she was already so big. But luckily she had started to stop. Looking at Moya he smiled at her, humming the lullaby to both of them.

Shilo closed her eyes and fell asleep quite quickly, completely forgetting about her arm.
Moya smiled and watched Shilo fall asleep before she closed her eyes as well.

Even when she fell asleep he stroked her head, finishing the song. It felt good with her asleep by his heart, it was where she belonged. At least to him. Looking to Moya he spoke softly. "So what did you do all day?"

Moya smiled and looked over at him. "I slept, worried, ate, worried some more, thought about coming to find you, and then tired to nap again when you guys came into the house." She chuckled softly and crossed her arms. "And what did you guys do?"

That sounded like quite a day. Shrugging he looked down at Shilo, studying the bruise on her arm. It was dark, but it would heal within the next couple of days. A quick look proved that her blood blister was gone. "We ran and we swam. Now your daughter can swim."

Moya smiled softly and put her hand on her stomach. "She is growing so fast, and she is so smart. If I wasn't so proud of her, it would be breaking my heart." A tear ran down her face and she wiped it away, her smile still there and it being a very proud and loving smile.

He saw the tear and moved behind her, kissing her cheek and rubbing her shoulders lightly. He knew how it felt, his own mother had felt the same. "She still has a thing or two to learn. Like don't challenge Daddy to a race, or jump the tree roots when you run."

Moya chuckled softly and grabbed one of his hands. "But she will learn it very quickly." She looked up at him and kissed his hand softly. "She is only a week old and I want her to be small again."

Now he couldn't resist. "Compared to you, love, she is still small." Kissing her he picked her up out of the rocking chair, taking her downstairs to the couch and falling back with her on top of him.

Moya giggled and rested her head on his chest while they sat on the couch, resisting the want to bite his neck. "At least you guys had fun. I've got to stop hiding I guess so I don't miss out on anything anymore."

He couldn't lie, he wanted her there. He just didn't know if she was adjusted to the life of a wolf yet. And he didn't want to push her. As they laid there he stroked her hair softly, thinking of what to say. "It would help me teach you if you were there."
