Gerard looked at Lutz from the corner of his eye, and looked back at the security guard. "Well...I'm a new recruit here, and I need to get a uniform." Gerard hid his handgun behind his back, his finger under the trigger guard in case anything went wrong. The guard looked at him with a puzzled look, but seemed to relax. "Alright. You two, come up here. I'm afraid I'll have to check your number in the system, and I'll see if I can get you a uniform." The guard pointed to a short flight of stairs that led up to the platform. Gerard walked slowly toward them, keeping an eye on the guard. He must be incredibly stupid to not realize that they were not security.

(Heh, if i was in Gerard or Lutz's position i woulda said "I don't have a #. I'm not here, I never was." Or something equally mysteriouslified. Or maybe i woulda just had him use his old government serial number. razz )

{Alright TS, that's fine. And no, when I RP'd Oricai into taking the files, he didn't take a comm link. Oh LonelyCheeto.... rolleyes }
[RPC: Ven Zast/Mizar; Location: Island Aqua-Facility]
Ven coughed hard, blood spurting from his mouth. His vision returned, and he could feel his heart setting a pace. He looked down at his body; the wounds were all healed, and all that was left was the blood. He supported himself with the wall behind him, and stood up. His small comm-link attached to his belt started beeping. He slipped it on his ear. "Hey ol' geezer, this is Alpha 1. Do you read? Over." Ven pondered for a split-second, then responded. "I read you, Alpha 1. Did you retrieve the files?" Ven walked over to the destroyed security booth, looking for Jake; he was gone. He noticed a vent shaft, cleverly out of his eye's way. Jake must be in there. However, he needed to get the cable car working. He turned back the way he had come, still listening for Seed's response over the static.

Lutz looked at the guard as he pointed to the steps, Lutz then said "Well you lead the way."

Gerard sighed, and went up the steps. As he ascended, he saw two others guards patrolling the rom further ahead. Taking out this guard would be difficult with others patrolling the area. "We have a small problem on our hands...this might be difficult." Gerard whispered this to Lutz just before he went inside the small security booth. The guard typed enter on his keyboard, just having put in Lutz's supposed "operating number". "Well this is strange...Richard Perkins. You sure that's your operating number? This ID picture doesn't match you...." Gerard wanted to announce the obvious, that the head shot of an African American man with a shaved head with the name Richard Perkins was not Lutz Venton. Of course, the security guard didn't know that, but Gerard wanteed to keep it that way. Gerard grabbed the guard, wrapping his arm around his neck and putting his hand over his mouth. "Time to shut up."

{ rofl Haha. I knew what I was doing...}
[RPC: Ven Zast; Location: Island Aqua-Facility]
Ven came back to the cable-car station, and went into the control booth. He reactivated the controls, and the lights turned back on. He went over to the cablecar, and slid the door open. "Finally, I can get back to what I came for. Jake, we'll have to get together some other time." He went inside, and the doors shut behind him. He went to the left, and activated the controls on the pedestal. The car shook slightly as the machinery started, and it started down the pathway.
{It's not a cablecar per-se; it's like a one-car magnetic train.}

Jake awoke suddenly. Sounds from the monitors had gotten louder. He looked at them carefully. He saw Gerard and what appeared to be the mercenary from before. "Well they're getting along lovely." He said smiling. He looked at the rest and saw a very disturbing sight. The "cable car" was moving again. He also noticed Mizar's body was gone. "God Damn it!" He shouted, hitting the desk. He sighed, unsure of what to do now.

Ven stood by the control console, watching the window as the car sped across the pathway,and it soon came into a glass tube, water surrounding it. Marine creatures swam through the water, passing by curiously at the glass tube inside of which a speeding car ran. It slowed down when it came to the other side, and stopped at a new station. The electricity turned off, and Ven went over to the doors, gripping the handles. "Huh...that's strange. The lock hasn't been deactivated..." He went back over to the control console, and pressed the unlock button, returning to the door but finding that they were still locked. "Something's not right. Something's wrong with the power." He looked up, noticing the open emergency hatch he had burst through earlier. He crouched slightly and jumped straight up, landing on the car roof. He looked around; the station was much larger than the one he had come from, looking somewhat like a large conventional train station. He saw three elevators to the right of the front of the cablecar, and to the left there was a metal door labeled "Maintenance". As he was looking around, he saw one of the elevators slid open, and 10 armed security guards stepped out. "I'd better hide. I don't want to attract more attention." He quickly dropped back down into the hatch, and stayed in a crouching position in the car.

Ven looked through the dark windows; they were specially tinted, so viewers on the outside couldn't see inside, but ones inside could see out. The large group of guards walked across the station floor, examining the cablecar. "That's wierd. We did't get any alert of the cablecar coming. Let's check it out." They approached the car, and tried the doors. "They're locked. Anyone in there? Hello? Alright, break it open." They proceeded to do so, and Ven jumped back up onto the roof of the car, staying low so as to not be seen. They pried open the doors, looking around. "That's strange. Be on your guard. It may be one of the intruders that we got an alert about earlier." Another guard agreed. "You're right. I'll call it in." The guard spoke into the radio on his vest. "Level one alarm; we have an empty cablecar, and suspect it's intruders. Be on alert." Ven took out the 9mm pistol he had taken from a guard's corpse, and slowly stood up. "Look! Intruder alert!!" The guards raised their TMPs, and fired at Ven. He jumped upward, the bullets flying under him. He soared over them, landing farther behind them. He spun around, firing the pistol at the guards. "Backup! We need backup!!" Ven continued firing, dodging slightly as the guard's bullets soared past him. He ran out of bullets, and cast the gun aside. He ran straight at the guards, kicking two into the cablecar, denting the side. Several guards stopped and stepped back to reload, but he grabbed one by the chest, and flung him at the others. One left, he cast his empty TMP aside and pulled out his combat knife. Ven stood still as the guard lunged with the blade; as soon as he came within reach, he grabbed the man's arm, twisted it out of its socket, and kicked the man furiously in the chest, sending him into the tracks. "That was easy. Next time, bring an entire battallion and then we'll negotiate.

Jake sighed, watching the fight. He saw the men on the cameras enter the area so he made sure to cut them off from the radio network. He may be my enemy, but I can't let him go setting off the whole damn base. He thought. Jake's fingers raced across the keyboard. He had been working on a quick and easy protocol to generate passwords for the less encrypted information. He began digging around for more information on the place.

Ven took two of the guards' TMPs, and reloaded them. He could always stop to scavenge guard's bodies if he needed weapons. He went over to one of the elevators, and pressed the button. "No backup yet? Strange." The elevator door opened, and Ven stepped inside. The doors closed, and the elevator moved down the shaft. Ven raised his wrist, activating the radio system on his computer. "Alpha 1, have you retrieved the files? Alpha 1, do you copy?" He hadn't been able to contact Clark Seed after his first message. He was starting to get slightly annoyed at being called "old geezer", but that was Clark. If anything, Ven was approximately the same age as Clark; the frail image he wore before injecting himself with the S-Virus did seem to give him an older appearance, however. Staying in the shadows was fairly easy; no one had known if he had escaped the laser attack upon NY, and all they thought was that this was a new stranger, some old guy with strange motives. Or so it seemed. Everyone was more careful this time around, he noticed; trust wasn't handed out in ribbon-tied easter baskets. The elevator stopped, and Ven walked out.
