Dusk looked away for a moment. She didn’t like this… she didn’t like this at all. But soon her clothes were back to her finest, but she wasn’t wearing a gown. Instead, she wore the best outfit of pants and a shirt that she had, making sure to look official as the circlet was still resting on her brow but also… she didn’t trust Viper. She didn’t know why, but maybe it was just his name and how he had acted with Rave when they had come together for the dinner. However, she would look her best and she would make sure that she didn’t do something to embarrass Kyoshi. No… she definitely couldn’t do something like that to him; not after all that they’ve done. “I’m ready when you are, then.”

Kissing his forehead, Kit nodded. “Just relax, alright?” She kept her arms gently around him, making sure that he didn’t feel enclosed or anything like that; no need to freak him out. But, Kit herself knew that she needed some form of contact so that she could enjoy what it was that she needed to do. It wasn’t like enjoying was really the best word… but it was better than thinking about the hell of just a few moments before.

Kyoshi had finished talking with Bank after ordering him to get everyone assembled, even Rev who was shot in the shoulder but still alive, to get everything organized. Pocketing his phone, the angel walked to Dusk and kissed her cheek. "Thank you for coming with me." He looked at her with his grief for his comrade but there was also love, the kind of love that was reserved for Dusk.

"Do you remember the building...." He clenched his jaw but calmed himself quickly, "Do you remember the building from the video? That's where they are meeting. Could we shadow there please?" Kyoshi wanted to skip having to drive or walk there, which was far either way, and see the spot where Gambler perished.

Taking two pills the man felt the strong cage door closed on his monster as he pulled Kit tighter against him. He needed to feel warmth coming from Kit. Nuzzling her cheek, he kissed her ear gently. "Lets um....close up shop and go home. I don't want to think about how angry the people will be and we might be safer at our home." Not only that but he didn't want to go on a rampage if someone decides to come after him.

While all this is happening in Area, something else was occuring far, far, far, far away where it was all green and practically in the middle of nowhere. There was dense trees and lush vegetation all around a small cottage of sorts. It was very well hidden with windows all around that made it look charming with it's simple details. Inside there were two bedrooms, a small living room, a small kitchen with a table. There was also a bathroom that seperated the bedrooms.

The furnishings of the cottage was simple if not keeping it slightly empty. There was a large, old couch in the living room, a large bed in one of the rooms with heavy curtains. Inside that very room was a large man. The man had long red hair, bandages all along his body as he stirred from his deathly slumber. As soon as his eyes snapped open, he opened his mouth to snarl loudly, causing the birds outside of the cottage and around a short distance from the house to fly off in fright at the monsterous sound.

Dusk smiled some at the other, leaning up to gently kiss his cheek, nodding, “I… I couldn’t just leave you there without anyone, Kyoshi.” Touching his hand, she bit her lip. The woman didn’t want to remember the building that Gambler had perished in, but she did know that it was something that she would have to remember. A breath was taken in before she kept her arms slowly circled around Kyoshi’s shoulders, keeping close with her head rested on his chest. The shadows took them soon enough, the suffocating feeling one that she was grateful for before their feet landed and she slowly let her arms fall. Now she couldn’t be caring or loving or anything like that. Her mask was back up as the one that she held from before she even became Queen, when she was the leader of her thieving group. It was time to be strong.

Arms wrapping around him, Kit looked up, confused, “Wait… What do you think people are going to do?” She didn’t think that anyone was going to attack them but she sighed, nodding some. “I figured that we’d close so… everyone’s gone from here anyway. Let’s just lock up, alright?” Kissing his forehead, she continued to smile softly but there was still that worry in her eyes. She didn’t want anything to happen to Joker, she didn’t want him to continue to hurt… but she wasn’t totally sure that she knew how to do any of these things. “Come on… let’s go home.”

After Eldin had left, Kalore had simply sat there for a moment, leaning back. By now, the bows and gifts that Monty had left him had all stayed back, had been put away, but there was one that he still couldn’t let go of. The ruby bow was behind him as he sighed softly, shaking his head. He couldn’t believe it… so many people were dying. As he leaned back, however, his hand brushed against the boy and something in him… snapped. Eyes widening, his back nearly arched as he heard something, a scream. Surprise was obvious as the roaring sound was thundering through his skull. Normally he would have ignored it but there was a scent, a wind of sorts, that told him that something was wrong. His hand yanked back from the boy and the sound was gone.

Frowning, he touched the bow, kneeling down as he didn’t feel anything at first but with just the briefest thought of Monty… it was there, again. Now he could see something but just like that, it was gone. Looking up, he frowned before letting go of the bow. He needed to leave but… as much as he didn’t want to go after this notion that he could track down something that probably wasn’t even in this plain anymore, he found himself in normal clothes, the quiver on his back, along with the ruby bow and his feet moving him out the door to where he sensed… just… sensed was the right direction. Here was to hoping the bow could actually be used.

Kyoshi felt his heart warmed with Dusk and closed his eyes while she shadowed them to the building. Yet once they got their and she stepped away, his heart turned to icy as he looked to his right where Bank stood waiting for them. "This way." The other man motioned for them to follow him into a room he stood next to. Kyoshi turned and motioned for Dusk to follow him as he walked with his head held high and ready to send them all to hell if they do something stupid. Gambler he can handle and tolerate but everyone else? No.

Entering the room he saw all twelve of the men seated at one side of the long conference table with Viper at the head, watchful with his ever friendly look. Kyoshi went to two chairs that were in front of him, no doubt meant for him and Dusk to keep the distance between both parties. "May I introduce, Queen Cecilia Morencia of Ilovu." He motioned with his hand towards Dusk, while all the men in the room stood up, even the in serious pain Rev who bowed deeply in respects to Dusk.

The roar of a monster continued until there was no more energy left. The red haired man looked around frantically, feeling the pain radiate continuously throughout his body as memories swamped him on how he got them. His rage was thick as he rolled out of his bed and went through the room like a madman. Yet he didn't do enough damage as he collasped against the wall since his leg gave out on him.

Resting his head back he just sat there breathing heavily as he also remembered the decision he made while everyone was gone to fight off the enemy. It was a hard decision but he knew that no one would know where he was and wouldn't come find him since he was dead to the world.

As she saw Viper at the head of the table, it took all that she had not to let anger go through her. Why was she upset with this man? She wasn’t completely sure, but she had a feeling that she was going to have to be on her best behavior. Seeing the men bow to her, however, was a surprise as she smiled some, shaking her head with a slight bow back to them, “No need… it is good to meet you all.” Her eyes lingered on Rev, frowning a bit. He shouldn’t be bowing if he was in pain… then again, she couldn’t see anyone criticizing her already, so she would fight to do the same. Sighing softly, the woman continued to smile as she and the rest of the men sat down, her hands clasped politely in front of her. s**t… she didn’t know what to say… This was why she never did things without Rave or, thankfully, Kyoshi.

Kalore went from walking to full out sprinting as he heard the sound of the roar once again. Every time that the ruby bow would brush against him, he would hear the sound of the roar again and again, but then it would be gone. It wasn’t as though it was beside him, but this faint sound that didn’t make any sense to him. Kalore’s legs took him out of his area, away from the elves, and into territory that he knew, but barely. Frowning some, he stopped, looking around but the moment that he stopped, t he wind around him picked up, urging him to continue on. Looking up into the sky, he muttered something, wondering why he was out there in the first place, but just thinking the question gave him the answer.

Monty.

He wanted to find the man, though he knew that he couldn’t find him there. There was just… there just wasn’t any way that he would be able to find the other there. Surely not. However, he sighed, shaking his head before he continued on. He would stop if things just seemed ridiculous, but no matter where Monty was… there had to be a place that he could at least find him. If anything, the wind was leading him to the memorial site, but that was impossible. He was moving in the opposite direction of Area 6. So… just where was he being led to?

Kyoshi sat down and watched as Viper stayed standing up. He watched the man motion to someone on his right side to bring everyone a glass of water. Once that was done the new boss of Area 6 smiled at them both. But there was one thing that did give Kyoshi pause to not snap at him for smiling, the man looked pale and slightly shaken. "Welcome indeed, Your Highness, Kyoshi." He nodded at them and sat back relaxing, but his natural color didn't come back.

"It is with obvious sad news that the former boss is no longer here. We are looking into a investigation as to who it could have been behind the death of Gambler and the attack on us." His hands gave a sweeping motion to include the eleven men watching Dusk and Kyo. "Then where do we go from here? Obviously this sudden....attack is going to cause us problems for everyone." Meaning Ilovu might be targetted as the assassins if they didn't tread carefully with these men.

"I'm pleased that you asked that. As you are now aware of, I'm the newly appointed boss of Area 6. However, in honor of Gambler for her great commitment to the city and genousity to all things, I figured we can do as she had planned." Kyoshi's gaze turned icy and clenched his jaw. If Viper was going to go a head with those laws so help him....Viper motioned for another man at his left to come forward, handing him two different stacks of paper.

Placing them on the table separated he looked at Dusk his eyes sharp and his voice with steel behind the politness. "I understand you are aware of those laws shared a few hours ago. However, you have a decision to make." Placing a hand on a highly thick stack his smiled turned poisonous. "Either we blame you for the attack on Gambler with the continuation of those laws. Or," He touched the other one a few short pages less than the first stack. "Or we go with the real laws that Gambler intended to share with you. These laws are not what was first proposed. These here," He slid it towards Kyoshi and Dusk to read it. "Are trade agreements and open door policies for both nations."

"It also includes a number of materials and goods that we produce that are offered for what goods you produce that equal the value. There is also a proposal of sharing scientific and medical knowledge with both sides while also strengthing your nation with the allies we have formed. Once things calm down, there will also be an alliance formed with the Fey that will be made official." Viper watched them closely. "You will see that everything is official in that stack with her signiture and ours as well. If you chose the path to peace, you will not in anyway interfer with our power here just like we will give you that same respect. This stack that gives us the power to blame your nation will be burnt. There are no copies as we, including Gambler," Everyone blessed themselves, "Want no real conflict."

The demon crawled towards the door of his bedroom after collasping again. There was something wrong with his leg but there was also a dryness in his mouth and his throat raw. He needed to drink and the demon was nothing but a pitiful creature, helpless to his own injuries and weak from losing everything, even the ability to summon anything to him. He needed to build strength to get it back if he wanted to survive.

Dusk stiffened when the man said that they were going through with what Gambler had originally planned, but seeing the papers… She frowned, touching the stack that spoke about open borders and things like that. It was something that she had wanted in the first place, but looking at the man in front of her… “Viper… or whatever title you wish to have,” She frowned more, touching the first pile. “We don’t want war, yet you’re threatening me and my people by saying that we are the cause of something that isn’t at all even our tactical method. I want peace, I want the open borders as I had offered Gambler before, yet this is the setting that it is coming in at?” She frowned more, the woman shaking her head. She wanted it… but there were things that this new leader was going to have to own up on.

“My people were able to get the broadcast that I watched, the recorded one. The laws that Gambler had informed me and Kyoshi of, the whole nation that happened to flip onto that station heard. You wish to tell me that none of that was real? Oh… save for if I want to take credit for something we did do that will start a war.” There was ice in her tone, but she couldn’t help but keep it. Did they really think that it was that easy? If the broadcast hadn’t been sent then Dusk would be easier about this, but there were people now that knew about the laws, that saw the explosion, that are going to now piece together the blame and that are going to jump eagerly on blaming a nation that before didn’t have anything to do with anyone. She shook her head, sighing. “As I said… I want peace, but you didn’t exactly make it easy to obtain.”

She looked over at Kyoshi, “I’m sorry if I’m being difficult…” Her glance was back at Viper, the apologetic look gone, replaced with one of obsidian stone. “But as much as I wish for peace, I will not allow my people to believe that we have been strong armed into it. That may not be the intent… but that is the scene that I see.”

Viper sighed but rather than him speak it was Rev who looked at Dusk with irritation. "I think your missing the point here. There are two decisions to make. Either you take the real proposals that you have in front of you or we stay the course on a cover up to point all fingers to you." The men nodded. Indra looked at her as well but with a thoughtful look. "Your Highness," He said his voice a rich accented timbre, "The world did not see that video. Only this city and your nation." Then he gave a simple run down of how it was accomplished, keeping who that mastermind behind that magic but it was obvious who could have done that, Hibachi.

"Clearly, with Gambler dead so are those laws. I am in charge and can change anything I wish. However, since your involved through the connection with Kyoshi, you have a say in here. Either you take what was supposed to be offered or we shut down all future talks until another time when you can see it from our side instead of yours." Viper said, losing his friendliness. "Peace is never easy to obtain, Your Highness. For every great gift, there's a great sacrifice. Gambler was that sacrifice to be able to give this to you. The attack was never planned but pushing you? Yes, that was planned."

Kyoshi listened and covered his face. He should have known that Gambler pushing Dusk would have been for a reason. "However, this feud she had with her former lover that was real. Make no mistake that everything was done for a reason but that feud and the feud with the blonde elf for not coming here for Monty's funeral was real. She had her reasons that have gone with her to the grave." Kyoshi looked at the stack that was offering peace and actually good exports. He wanted to make sure that everything was truly real. Nodding in approval he looked at Viper. "Then what are you going to do to change the peoples minds?"

Viper grinned. "I don't suppose you'd let me do another speech right? After all with us here discussing this and everyone knowing that with a death of a leader the next in line, I say we can do a little presidential type speech here. It's safer from snipers and explosives." Some of the men chuckled but snapped their sharp looks at Dusk. Viper sighed. "Perhaps if you stop looking at it from your side of the spectrum and looked at all the other side of the problem, then your mind will boarden to understanding." The man muttered low to himself, "It's no wonder Gambler wanted to push you," Yet he knew full well that Dusk might hear him. "Anyways, if you think it's so hard then you can leave without Kyoshi."

Rubbing her temple, a twitch was beginning to form under her eye before she snapped at Viper, “Do you honestly think that I’m thinking of this from my damn standpoint?” Growling low at the other, it was his comment that caused her to snap but she leaned back in her seat, rubbing her temple where a headache was forming. She liked the other guy’s voice more than Viper’s; his just created a headache after a few words. “Look… I want the peace treaty. It’s for the best for my people and I understand the fact that Gambler had her reasons. I’m sure that Rave had his reasons for pushing her, that my father had reasons for pushing me, but those don’t matter right now and those aren’t my concern.” She shook her head, taking in a breath so that she could calm down. Her temper was still with her from the streets and she was afraid that it wasn’t going to leave anytime soon. Shame.

“My problem is that those of my people that understand English and happened to see that broadcast are going to be infuriated on the laws that they heard. No, they aren’t the ones that you’re proposing, I do understand that, but it was aired in my castle, Viper. A damn pageboy is the one that brought it to my attention, otherwise I wouldn’t have known anything about it.” She sighed, relaxing a bit as her hand finally dropped and she watched Viper with a small, miniscule smile. “If we can figure out a way to make it to where I can get my people, including my b*****d council because I know they saw the broadcast as well and will be throwing a fit… but if we can figure out a way to fix that damage, then I’ll happily take this,” she gestured to the second pile, “And even help burn this,” a gesture to the other papers. “I can even help burn that… I like burning things.”

She shrugged some as she leaned against her hand, giving up the queen act. Dusk could only keep herself royally composed for so long. “I have ideas on how to win over the council… they’re a problem, but they listen to Rave as though he were the Goddess’ right hand, but my people that know of what was said…” She shrugged. “Elves don’t anger easily, but if that got up to the North, then they’re the ones that will have the biggest fit. Now… what’s this about leaving Kyoshi?” Her eyes narrowed. “My temper’s gone for now but… what is that supposed to mean?” Thankfully her temper was always handy when needed…

Viper shook his head. "That was supposed to mean that if you were going to be difficult then he stays and you go until tempers cool. But since your proving to be a better person in control of their temper than first thought, you have free rein to stay here until someone here gets annoyed." Which some of the guys looked it but that was natural for them. Except for Sprite, he had about five sprite cans in front of him, drinking them like water.

The new lead had listened to Dusk and nodded. "Then let them be involved. Bring those you need because without them there wouldn't be a monarch or any form of leadership. Without those who wield enough power to sway the people to back you up, none of us would be here." Setting aside the wisdom, Viper slid the large stack that had a void stamped on it in red. "It's yours. Burn it."

Kyoshi was surprised that Viper was actually being cooperative. "What's the catch?" Viper looked insulted. "Catch? There's no catch Kyoshi. It's either black or white, nothing gray about this meeting. I know Gambler made choices that have pushed everyone to the edge but did you really pay enough attention to the littlest details that she was writing that proposal instead of those insane laws? Kyoshi, you know her more than anyone else yet you doubted her. Granted anyone has the right to feel hatred against her but perhaps the next time something happens, read between the lines. You might learn something." Kyoshi growled but the other man held up his hand.

"Enough Kyoshi. I was personally chosen for this position. If you must know all the details to all of that, she was actually my godmother." Kyoshi looked startled. "You?" The man nodded. "The former leader that lost the rights to the city was my father. Obviously once I was born he bargined to let me take her place. Ever since she had been training me to do the right and wrong things in this game." Viper gave Dusk a pointed look. "If you want to take that prosposal of all the trades and allying with you, take it to your council. We can make a meeting to your nation rather than coming here always. If we do that, we won't bring any weapons." Now that was saying something about this leadership.

The barest of smiles was on the woman’s features before she stood up, sighing some. “Kyoshi… lay off it. Viper, you too.” She sighed again as a lighter was in hand, the papers burned while protected by shadows. “There. It’s done. It’s over with.” She watched Viper, her eyes calm as her arms were crossed. “Look… I took the council’s power away a few weeks ago, so that makes it easy. If we’re going to meet up then it should be on neutral grounds. On my side would be in Dark Haven or Harl if you don’t mind the mess. On this side… I don’t know where.” She shrugged. “I’ll give these laws to Rave, my second, and then we’ll see what goes from there.” Her eyes remained on the other man, the barely there smile still there on her full lips.

“I don’t care what your position from Gambler was, godchild or not. I just care that you’re going to work with me so that our groups can live together. There are too many people that go back and forth between the Areas and Ilovu. I’m not abandoning them to this.” She tapped Kyoshi’s shoulder, gesturing to the paperwork. “We’ll leave. I’m sure you’ve got Kyoshi’s number, so just ask him for mine, but I need to do damage control.” She sighed and gave the twelve men a small bow, her normal smirk on her features once again. “I’m glad that we’re making progress, but you’ll find that as blunt as I can be… I do have to be a bit difficult. Elves are a bit annoying in politics, I will admit… shame.” At least she still had her sense of humor…

Viper rolled his eyes but kept his sharp tongue to himself. There were just somethings that people thought they didn't need to hear that were actually important. Perhaps it was best to let them have that surprise of their life. It would be so funny to see the shock written all over their faces one day.

Anyways, Viper stood up and bowed. "Do as you wish. The details can be worked out when your ready. Those are just the main ideas that are being offered." Kyoshi took the paper work and stood up to stand with Dusk, watching Viper to make sure that their's no deceit from him. Yet there was none. Well there was something going on but all this about the alliance and the peace were real. "Let's go Dusk."

Wrapping her arm through Kyoshi’s, Dusk sighed some before rolling her eyes. “And people wonder why men are rarely worked with from me.” She rolled her eyes again, her words muttered and soft, but it was true. Most of her close council that she asked opinions from weren’t men; most were women. Ziggy and Rave, and now Kyoshi, were the only real people that that didn’t go to. Sighing again, shadows took them over, along with the papers, and they were soon back in the office, the woman leaning back to run a hand through her hair. “Well… that went… relatively well.”
