True Colours of Destiny I like my sci-fi with as much advanced tech and aliens as possible. But I don't like any Star Trek besides the new movie. The only exception to my sci-fi diet is time travel, steam punk, and alternate history. I LOVED Battlestar Galatica, but I hated that ending. Seriously, I'm contemplating picking up the fanfic pen once more and rewriting that ending. I like advanced technology and aliens too. That plus grit led to years of watching Babylon 5 religiously. biggrin I wasn't too impressed with the ending of Galactica, but I thought it was fitting for the series. I'm a little under the impression that the series mythology backed them into a corner as far as what they had to do with the time they had to do it in so as to wrap up the series effectively.

So I found out the reason one of my friends wants me to attend the local Hindu Youth Conference they're holding again this year. Apparently, it's because I'm so educated in Hindu ways and know certain things involving different schools and diaspora that she wants to see me strike random cords of dissent and objection. rofl
And with these as the subjects, I can't see myself not speaking out: Sin and Repentance Sacred Spaces and Objects The Origin of Creation Hinduism and Environmental Purity

Last night, I had a dream involving a prop from the show Lost (which I haven't really seen) which was a round horizontal platform that spun, and you were supposed to drink some tea made from something really strange (like pine needles or holly leaves), lay down on the platform as it spun, and then something would happen. I didn't know what that something was, but I couldn't get it to work, so I came on here asking what was supposed to happen and why it wasn't working.
So, Tea replied by giving the instructions again, and saying that she tried it herself a while ago and really enjoyed it.
I figured I'd ask in the real world to see if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about.

AniMajor I knew I was doing it wrong. It's okay. heart I forgive you. That said, I think a nice cup of tea and a bit of a spin in the Crystal Cove pyramid might be an interesting experience. I tend to just call it a herbal infusion.

...apparently I'm a witch. x_O
I really hate it when people I like and respect say something so unfathomably wrong that it makes me want to light things on fire. Like them.

so, basically if i say nothing, everyone thinks i'm a fluffy bunny white-lighter "sweetheart," and if i start asking questions about lineage and discerning who deserves the title Wiccan or not, i get cold-shouldered.
