Kheelan silently left, tugging Sarette after him to listen to Kit since she was someone easy going to work with but there was a underlying strength there that commanded respect. At least that's what Kheelan thought but doesn't share much of it, but they made their way to the back of the offices to make sure the inventory was still accurate.
Joker just stared at the TV, twitching and foaming at the mouth as his monster was angry that this was happening and the fact that he was going to lose his friend through this feud over...What the hell were people fighting over anyways?! The doctor didn't really know he just assumed but damnit...It was wrecking havoc on him. Even Kit's voice did nothing to stop him but it was his leash. Something to hold on to.
Kyoshi just stared at the ruined TV and then at Dusk. Not caring if he was harmed he wrapped his arms around her and just held her. To his core, the man was shaken. How could these events come to this? Why? It was....so horrible. It was heart breaking, especially when that was his closest friend on the TV, or was since it was broken, that was pushing buttons and making everyone angry.
There was a great reason for why Gambler did what she did. It as sort of like God, he had his reasons for doing things that people would never understand, just like she was doing. To her, it was something that was logical. To others, no one would have put two and two together to come up with the logical explaination.
That didn't matter right now. Gambler, the male one, was cheered by the crowd thanks to the awesome effects done by Hibachi who seriously did the greatest job in making the illusion to fool those watching. Well, those elves watching. The man turned to the real Gambler and offered her his arm, taking it with a dazzling smile that didn't touch her eyes behind those dark sunglasses as they walked down the steps to the waiting car on the cleared street. The police and security wanted to give the waiting car and couple a wide berth to walk without someone from the crowd causing trouble towards them.
Meaning no fangirls for this walking god among mortals that had Gambler's arm around his. The twelve ambassadors had started to make their trek down the steps as Gambler entered the waiting car with the male Gambler. Once the door closed however, the world turned into a dark place as it started to drive away. A chilling silence feel over the crowd as the car itself exploded with both occupants and the driver inside it.
The ambassadors all scrambled just like the crowd, some were injured in the blast while the rest were running away for dear life. From somewhere shots were fired and one of the ambassadors, Rev, was shot on his shoulder, bodyguards hurrying to cover them and get them to cover as quickly as possible. In all honesty, it turned into a war zone with Gambler offically insinerated along with those ridiculous laws that brought in a new era for a newly appointed boss of the city to carry out the real laws that had be created.

“Damn it!” Yelling, Dusk struggled to get out of Kyoshi’s hold, fought to just hit something, break something, anything that would have some impact on anything. Briefly, she wanted to go back in time, go to the day where she and Mist had ran for cover from the rain, had run into Kyoshi and… and she had stayed with him. She wished that she could have gone back in time and gone to the house beside his apartment, or something like that. Then, none of this would have happened. She wouldn’t have met him, Gambler, wouldn’t have gotten them involved with the elves, wouldn’t have… wouldn’t have met the love of her life, wouldn’t have helped get rid of so many problems. Even though there was so much bad going on, Dusk had to calm down and just hug Kyoshi, keep him close. To not have him there… she couldn’t do it.
None of them really knew what had caused any of this, but as Kit held onto Joker, stroking his hair and whispering softly to him, she tried to just keep herself calm. Watching the broadcast brought pain to her heart, but nothing bothered her nearly as much as watching Gambler smile and walk away. She closed her eyes for a moment as they went into the car, but the sound of the explosion was obvious as her eyes shot open. For a second, she wasn’t sure what she was seeing, but the camera was nearly on the ground as the shots were heard and her grip on Joker tightened. “What… What’s going on?” This couldn’t be real… surely not…

Joker flinched, his eyes going wide as he lunged for the TV with Kit still on him, yelling. "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Looking around frantically, the man's mind shut down on him with his logical thinking. "Someone get me the phone! Call the others! Ask what's going on! Call Gambler!!!" But there would be no calls to Gambler ever again. Never would she answer her phones, nor any other form of contact.
Joker just stared, pressing his face to the screen that was bad for the eyes. "Th-They blew her car up?" The chaos continued as more shoots were fired but this time by police as they efficiently sniffed out where the snipers came from, shooting them down to the ground barking orders to get the innocent people out of the way and the amabassadors to safety.
Tears fell down Joker's face in his anguish as ambulences and firefighters rushed to the scene of where the car exploded. Yet he knew that nothing could be found in that reck. Nothing could be salvaged from such an explosion. No bodies will be recovered after the fire went out. Joker knew this because he was the best damn doctor out there.
Kyoshi held Dusk tighter to him, pressing his face against her hair. "Dusk, I'm not letting go so if you want to hit something hit me. I'm not going to break." Hell no, it would take alot to break him. Especially when his love was suffering so much. "Your stronger than this Dusk. Call up those important and let them know that your working on a way to fix this. Buy us sometime to get it done. You have done so much in a short time. This can't stop you." Yet they were oblivious to Gambler's short lived victory of pissing off elves, or rather pissing off those she knew personally. Maybe it was a bad idea to break the TV since Gambler blown up to pieces would have possibly calmed Dusk.

With another punch to the ground, Dusk was still angry but slowly the anger turned into despair as she simply pressed herself close to the other and lost it. No one would bother them right then, even if there were some people that were watching the broadcast and watching the explosion, knowing to inform the Queen the moment she came out, but for now she had only Kyoshi. Closing her eyes tightly, she broke down, apologizing countless times for things that she really didn’t need to apologize for, but for so much of this she felt at least partially responsible. She would have to alert the others, tell them about what happened if they didn’t already know, and then do as Kyoshi said… she would make sure that things were put to where they needed to be, but it was going to be hard and it was going to take some time. Sadly… time wasn’t there anymore.
Kit kept close to Joker before he leapt for the television. She didn’t know what to do other than just stare at the scene before her. It took her a moment to realize what Joker was doing, however, before she went to him, cupping his cheeks in her hands, shaking her head, “Joker… Joker, please listen to me!” There were tears in her eyes as she spoke to him, unable to believe what they had just witnessed but it was a live feed… Gambler was gone. “You need to calm down… please…” Her voice was choked but soon she kissed his forehead, her hands shaking. “I… I put your phone on your desk, so it’s there. Call… Call Dusk or Kyoshi or someone that’s in Area that’ll know what’s going on, alright?” She stroked his hair, biting her lip softly. “Please… just calm down, alright? Maybe… She’s strong, right? Could she have possibly survived that?”
Sitting on the floor, the bows still around him, Kalore watched as the broadcast continued to show the wreckage that was what used to be Gambler’s car. He watched it and felt… nothing. Even the elf should have felt at least amusement for the woman getting what she deserved, but there just weren’t any emotions left in him. He placed his hand on the ruby bow, tilting his head to the side. Something just didn’t seem right, though… Who was attacking Gambler? Only a few people knew about the laws beforehand and he knew that even with how angry Dusk was… she wouldn’t send someone to assassinate her and even if she did, it sure as hell wouldn’t have been like this. Dusk had Rave and herself who were masters at shadows. If they wanted to kill, even Gambler wouldn’t see them coming. Curious.

Kyoshi shook his head and allowed Dusk her moment. The woman has been through so much and done so much that she earned her rights to do as she wished, and express everything she was feeling. "Let it all out. I'm here and not going anywhere understand?"
Joker looked at Kit and nodded, still cry but holding it back in that he was foaming at the corner of his mouth. But he shook his head as tears fell down faster. "Fire can kill her kind." Not only that but with the whole car torn to bits, it's possible she was ripped to shreds in the car. Pulling away from Kit he stumbled to his office to get the cellphone, his whole body shaking as he dialed the number to Dusk. They had to know if they didn't, that Gambler was gone. After that he would have to call the others from Area 6.

Dusk shook her head, hitting the man in the chest, hard. “I… I’m not supposed to…” Whispering that, she shook her head again but this was beginning to just be too much. There was too much that she had to hold that she really didn’t want to bother with. Dusk wanted to go back to being a thief, wanted to go back to a time when all she needed in order to get what she wanted was just a smirk and a flick of her wrist. Those times were gone now, however, and no matter how badly she wanted to have them back, she knew that it wasn’t going to happen. For nearly ten minutes, she simply stayed against the other, her breath coming too fast and the tears not ending. “Goddess, I hate this… I f*cking hate this…”
Dropping against the counter, Kit’s eyes closed as she felt horrible grief coming over her. Just a few days ago, the woman was in their home and they were so angry at her, so sad about what she had done… and now… she was gone. Letting Joker go and call, Kit wasn’t sure that she could do anything, but with Eldin hugging her close, the two comforted one another as she just collapsed in the boy’s hold. She knew that he was hurting horribly, almost as badly as Joker, but she couldn’t feel the tears as he made sure that she couldn’t, simply comforting her as his own cries were soft, barely audible, his tears landing in her hair.
When Dusk’s cellphone rang, she didn’t even need to see it to know, or at least guess, who was calling her. Only a select few knew her number and it was going to be someone that knew Gambler who called her. Sniffling some, she grabbed her phone, composing herself as she noted that it was Joker. “Yeah… Yeah, Joker? What do you need?” Her voice was softer than she wanted but there wasn’t much that she could do about it now.

Kyoshi growled and shook her a bit. "Damnit, your not superwoman. You have every right to break down. Otherwise you'll end up mad and useless. Don't give in to that." He said, holding her tightly but loosened his hold once the phone rang and Joker was on the other line.
Joker had managed to close the door to his office and sit himself in the corner of his now dark office with the phone on his ear while his hand was buried in his hair to cover his face as he was sobbing and trying to make sense. "Du-Dusk...G-G-G-Gambler's gone....Di-Did you see the explosion?" He was rambling, stuttering and sobbing that it was hard for him to speak clearly. The man banged his head backwards against the wall and dropped the phone. Damnit...This was all just....Messed up.

She ignored Kyoshi’s comment. No, she wasn’t Superwoman, but she had to be in order to handle all of this at once. It wouldn’t do for the queen to be seen losing herself in grief because of all of this. When she heard Joker speak, however, the sobbing caught her attention. Silencing Kyoshi, her eyes widened as she spoke, “Gambler’s… Joker! What are you talking about? What explosion?!” But the phone had been dropped and she was yelling into a phone that he couldn’t hear. With wide eyes, she rested back against Kyoshi, shaking her head. “Explosion… Gambler…” She couldn’t think straight. Too many things were happening at once but the one thing that she heard perfectly were joker’s sobs as he told her: Gambler was gone.

Kyoshi froze and looked down at Dusk with furrowed brows. Explosion? Gambler? What the hell? Did Gambler blew something up? Great, just great, that was the last thing we needed. Only he stood froze and motionless for a long time. Did he hear sobbing from the other line?
Joker reached for the phone and curled up in a ball, holding the phone close to his ear. "She-She's gone. Gone. Gone." He shook as his fingers again lost control of the phone and dropped it, holding himself tightly to contain his emotions, his grief.
All across Area 6 news was spreading as fast as wild fire. More and more news crews were getting a glimpse of what was going on, forgetting about the speech as what happened afterwards sparked the interests and the sorrow. Even the ambassadors were sending their own peoples to secure the borders, going through the city up and down to seek out who ordered the hit. Only, the hit had been preordained since the moment the former boss stepped foot and pushed buttons willynilly. If the former crew and elves found out about that, it could be a crushing blow towards them.

She listened to him and for a moment…. She just didn’t know what to do. Shoving the phone into the other’s hands, Dusk got up, forcing herself out of Kyoshi’s arms so that she could sprint to a room that she knew would hold one of the broadcastings. It only took getting to the next one. Eyes wide as she saw the fire and the line of the leader’s death, Dusk knew that most people there didn’t understand what was going on. The headlines were in English and though she was trying to get more people to know it, there were still those that wouldn’t know the language for a long time. Shaking her head, however, she leaned against the couch, watching as she found herself just… hoping.
Fire could kill the angels; that much she knew. An explosion to that proportion… Dusk hadn’t realized how large the explosion had been before there had been a showing of it. Most of the elves gathered around the television just looked at her, confused, but she shook her head. “It… It’s nothing. Get back to work.” Listening to their queen, they did so but Dusk knew that she was going to have to announce this. Whatever it was that had happened… she was going to have to announce it and figure out just what the hell had caused this. “Ky… Kyoshi!”

Kyoshi didn't know what to do with the phone since Joker wasn't talking but held on to the call until it was disconnected. Snapping his head up at Dusk's voice he rushed over to where she was and stood still as his gaze fell on to the TV. The explosion was slowly being contained, the firefighters wrestling with crushed and melted metal to see if they could retrieve the remains.
The news reporters were their mouthing something that he couldn't hear as only the images spoke volumns to him. The news station went from the reporter to a video footage of Gambler herself with the male Gambler, showing off as the most powerful couple that have been more mysterious than all the mysterious of the world combined, walking down the stairs with dazzling smiles.
It showed as they both went into the waiting car, away from the crowds that were wanting to get a glimpse of them, no doubt because the male looked perfect and beautiful as hell. Yet once the door closed to the car, he watched as pure horror stole his breath away when the camera showed the car exploded. Not just those normal explosions that possibly contained a certain amount of explosives to just render suffering. This kind was the type to render total death the swiftest way possible.
Kyoshi flinched and dropped the phone, his face pale and his body shaking. Gambler entered that car and.....But he hadn't gotten a call from the others as he watched on, the camera fell down when the crowds turned into a stamped of frightened chaos. Shots were fired as the people went wild with fear and witness one of the ambassadors they were there steps away from the couple running either back up the steps to the great building or for some sort of cover. He watched as Rev went down with blood and anguish.
The bodyguards started to surround the important as the police, the very police of the city, shot expert fires in the direction of the snipers. The video cut off as they went to the live feed where the reporter once again was summerizing everything and waiting for more information that will never come to them since it was against the laws of underground bosses to never reveal the truth to the masses without causing the balance to tilt.
Yet those now images didn't matter. All that mattered was those images of Gambler entering her death trap and just.... He faintly heard a phone ringing and realized it was his. Turning around, he walked in a daze to his phone as if he was a robot. Getting to his cellphone that was on the nightstand next to his side of the bed, he answered it and heard Bank's voice on the other end, his voice shaky husky from crying. "Kyoshi..." The man on the otherline tried to get his composure in order to speek. "I don't know if you saw but..." There was a catch in the man's voice, "Gambler has been assasinated."
Just hearing those words made his body feel boneless, sitting on the bed as he looked out the large wind with the phone still at his ear. Bank confirmed what he wanted to believe was a lie but in the end it was the truth. Even if there was some hope that Gambler could have gotten out before the car was ripped part, he doubted it since it happened faster than anyone could have reacted, no matter how powerful a person was. Finding his voice he needed to know who was taking full reins of the city so that he can go and see for himself. "Who-" He cleared his throat, "Who's in charged?" Bank hesitated for a moment and sighed, "Viper."

Still sitting there, Kalore continued to watch the news before he stood up, picking up his phone and calling the one person that he knew probably wasn’t watching but should be. Rave didn’t pick up at first, but when he did, Kalore sighed and shook his head. “Are you watching the news?” Hearing that he wasn’t, Kalore frowned some. He didn’t want to be the one to tell his friend this news but it seemed like I t was the job of the blonde every time something like this happened. Turning, he found the station number and gave it to Rave. “I want you to be alone when you’re watching this, alright? No scaring your kids.” The trainees were too jumpy already. Seeing rave blow up would scar them forever.
Rave frowned but nodded, making his way to his office as he watched as the last of his kids left and he flipped on the station. At first, he didn’t understand what was going on. There was fire, panicked people, but then the loop played again and he watched Gambler with some man, frowning more at the image. His mind had already connected the two images that he had seen but he refused to link them together until he saw them for himself. When the woman he cared for closed the door and the explosion came, Rave fell back into his chair, his eyes wide. This couldn’t be right… this couldn’t be happening. Shaking his head, the man clutched his head as his anger soared, battling with the despair of watching Gambler go up in flames.
He sat back, his eyes closed tightly as he tried to control himself. All around the man, the shadows that he controlled were going haywire, expressing the emotions that he was cutting off from himself. Finding that the shadows were more violent than they needed to be, he allowed himself to leave the office, transferring instead to a wooded area where he could just let his shadows do anything, anything at all to control the anger, the rage, the sadness…
Wiping at her eyes, Dusk moved to sit beside Kyoshi, hugging his arm as she just listened to him. “Who… Who’s in charge now, Kyoshi? What is it that we’re going to need to do?” Whatever the man was hearing, Dusk didn’t know if it was good or bad. Given what had just happened… she doubted good.

Kyoshi just stared off into the distance, his gaze landing on nothing as his mind tried to wrap itself around Gambler's death. Deep down, there was terrible pain and grief at the loss of his closest friend. No, she was like his sister as they were born together, fought together and learned to live in this place. They always had each other's back.
They always shared secrets and devised ways to keep their existance throughout the ages hidden from scared humans even when the creatures finally came out to live among them, they would still Kyoshi, Gambler and Monty, would keep quiet about their existance. The same went for when they adopted the Twins since they needed to be protected. It was why they barely used their powers because the only flaw among the angels and demons was that you could feel another's essence.
The angel finally brought himself back at the sound of Dusk's voice, even though it was partially faint in his head. Thinking of her question he looked down at the phone, then at Dusk, all color drained from his face and his eyes dull. "Viper is in charge." Meaning they would need to talk to him to see what was going to happen from here on out, not only between them as individuals but also for Ilovu and Area.
Joker finally shuffled out of his desk and went to the medicine cabinet that held his pills. The man opened the small little mirror and stared at them. He knew he needed to drink one of them to calm himself so he can think clearly without the monster raging inside him but....The man couldn't see with his vision blurry from so much crying.

Closing her eyes as she heard his words, Dusk took in a breath. “Then… Then we need to immediately begin to set up things so that we can figure out what it is that we’re going to do.” It hurt her to have to move things quickly, but Gambler had posted her laws for her nation to hear and that alone probably had some of her people on guard. Now that they knew about the laws and this attack had been placed, Dusk wanted to make sure that none of her people were blamed because it would be common word for them to be blamed for all of this. She wasn’t going to have it and she wasn’t going to have things going wrong. Instead, she kept hugging Kyoshi, closing her eyes a bit tighter. “I can’t believe this…”
A hand reached out as Kit was beside the man, looking through the meds before finding the one that Joker needed. “Here. It’s this one, right?” She kissed his temple, her eyes closing for a second as she tried not to be too bothered by all of this. It was impossible, of course, given her eyes still watered and her body still shaky… but she would try to be there for Joker. “I sent Eldin and the other’s home. Eldin’s going to check on Rave and Kalore, see if they… if they know.”

Kyoshi nodded as he stood up and went to the closet to get dressed in the outfit he had been wearing to show that he was a warrior of a high class. The angel took pride in his elven outfits and had things been different he would have considered that Gambler quit being a boss to retire here. But things weren't different.
Running a hand through his hair he walked to Dusk, watching her. "We have to go to the city and talk with Viper to see where he's going to go with this." There was something about this that was familiar to him, this pattern of events that made him snap into the mindset of a warrior angel. "Wear your finest to present yourself. I'll call Bank to organize a quick meeting." The man went to his phone to call him back.
Joker nodded as he looked down, holding his hand out for the pill. Nodding some more he looked at Kit and kissed her forehead. "Thank you." It felt so good to have someone there with him while not scared that he might flip out and cause trouble. No, he couldn't. Not when Kit was helpful and caring.
