Metallica from Kill 'Em All to Master of Puppets is pretty much face melting thrash metal, although they added to the formula to suit their expanding musical abilities on Master of Puppets.
By And Justice for All, it's like.. epic/power thrash fusion, because their songs are ******** LONG and extremely complex, combined with the same sort of speed and intensity of thrash. See: One, Blackened, To Live is to Die.
But Kill 'Em All - their first album - is pretty much face melting, raw thrash before they began any experimentation.

All I heard was Science Missiles and I just shut off. I enjoy Science and all of her wonderful applications. I remember reading a comment on my computer on YouTube regarding a high speed, high definition streaming video clip that discussed the veracity of arguments for evolution, and how there was more evidence for evolution than there is for gravity, or atomic theory, and yet people continue to say it's not true. And this comment, evidently left by someone else's computer stated, quite clearly, that Science has never done anything right. Ever.
My head imploded.

I think everyone has heard One.
Blackened is about.. I'm not sure, but it's pretty awesome. the end of the world.
To Live is to Die is actually about vampires, but it only has a couple of lines of spoken vocals, otherwise it's all pretty much instrumental. Still one of my favorite songs though. Like 9 and a half minutes of instrumental metal.

Enki Leviathan Darshendros the Eternal Oh, well. If you happen by on a Monday night, go down to the DNA Lounge in SF. That's near the Civic Center, right? Around the corner (pretty much) from Wicked Grounds? 11th and Harrison, yeah.

Evolution would fall under that.

I wouldn't be surprised you'd hear that, Griff, since you make a similar statement in your signature.
I'm not even going to get into evolution since too many people make too many generalizations about my kind on the subject. But saying that science has never done anything right is just as wrong as saying religion never did anything right. And the fact of the matter is, devote yourself enough to science and it BECOMES your religion.
Which is probably what I meant a little while ago when I said that everyone needs a "religion"...it just isn't always what everyone thinks of when they hear the term.
Though I'm kindof going to give the benefit of the doubt here.
