It was amazing that Vajra wasn't bursting into laughter at this. They were just too easy to play with. Karnac... I found two new toys to play with... he said in the reaper's mind before falling into his far more annoying act.
"You mean what you said about being married was true....and after I consented to that one night stand..." he sighed before looking at Lina, "Honestly, if I thought it was true, I wouldn't have given in. I bet your honeymoon was a night to remember eh?"
He grinned as Lina flushed and looked away. Why was this man getting to her so easily? Was it the way he so easily made his feelings known or was it the fact he seemed to enjoy making people squirm? She took one look on that grin and wished to knock it right off.

"Oh really? Then what about the time when you disappeared for a few days? The last night he met me." He was pushing it, but after this he would move onto where exactly Emit had gone. Without those greens eyes watching him, it was almost worthless.
By this time Lina had had enough of this, "You have a very creative mind Vajra, but don't test me nor Remus. I am not in the mood." she bowed stiffly to Merlin, "If you would excuse me...I must go." she then walked out and moved past Kaliel without giving him a glance.

Remus glared at Vajra. "Lycan's do have a strong moral code. Don't cross mine again." He bowed to Merlin. "Please excuse me as well." He turned and followed Lina out. He caught up with her quickly. "I don't like him..."

Vajra waited for them to leave before bursting into laughter, his body settling into the chair as he did so, "Oh that was too easy!" he procliamed, forgetting momentarily that Merlin, Tien and Tyran were still there, "Karnac, they were even worse than Dextra and Sinitra!" And the laughter started again...
Lina didn't reply as she exited the club, she didn't trust herself to reply, which was a first upon many she was sure to have. She merely frowned and moved towards the Lotus territory.

Lina looked down at Remus smiled slightly, before petting his head and moving on, "I need to check the Book. Perhaps findong out about the next Leader will help things abit..." she trailed off, knowing that he would understand.

Kaliel gave her a quick nod before slipping into Monaelth's room and placing her upon the bed. He looked around the room, running his hands over old memories before stopping to look at the picture of Monaleth and himself standing side by side and she was actually smiling. He smiled lightly at that before running his fingertips along the edges and placing it back upon the desk. He then looked at the full-length mirror and looked at himself. He was far more slim than when he was once a lycan and his skin now had a more golden hue that melded into his tanned skin.
"They healed me well..." he murmured, careful not to say who before returning his gaze to Monaleth, "And brought me back to you. We should thank him for that." he knelt down beside her and touched her cheek as a golden light entered her body, "One that calls himself Kota..." she opened her eyes and only saw sadness in his, "One that calls himself your son."
[I love the drama...]

As soon as they entered the base, Lina moved towards the shrine where the Book of the Ten lay open and waiting. As soon as she looked upon the blank pages of the ancient tome, words began to appear. The more she read, the more her expression darkened until the book closed on its own.
She slumped to the ground and rested her head against the wall, "Emit had warned us about this..." she murmured.
