Ed is the reason that I kept watching the series after the first episode. He's charming, witty, damn smart and emotional; a terrific mix for a character and had me rivited.
As for a pet, I think Ed would be very happy with something like a goldfish. He can feed it once a day and walk away and not worry about it.

I've only read up to chapter 57.. because the site where I used to read it died, and I can't use any sites that require me to download the chapters.
