Veroen let out a chuckle at Hunter's words, as well as Marcus' words. They were right to assume that Veroen would catch the drink before it crashed into a different one, for in the blink of an eye he stopped it and had it up to his lips. He smelled it, and a surprised look came upon his face.
It was indeed stronger than any alcoholic beverage he had came across.
He grinned over at Marcus, and shook his head as he downed the entire thing in the blink of an eye. His grin quickly disappeared, but he attempted at keeping a straight face at the drinks strength. It was indeed very strong. He then took the first drink that Hunter had prepared for him, and downed it just as quickly, as sort of a chaser.
He rested his chin on his hands, trying as he might to not show that it was almost too strong for him. He let out a single cough, which instantly gave him away.

Hunter smiled in satisfaction as he poured himself a shot glass of the concoction of his and downed it. He smiled and went back to cleaning glasses. Marcus snickered a bit before shaking his head.
"Don't feel bad...you handled it better than I did." The tired business man grumbled as he took another sip of his brown drink before glancing over to Kerrigan, sure that she would chime in some remark about it. But that was fine, the man knew what he was getting into when he did what he did.
"Then again...I guess it could of been worse, eh?" A wolfish smile spread upon his face at that addition as he let out a sigh and focused on his drink.
"So Veroen. You a hunter now or just here for...er...other reasons?" The dark haired man asked, his curiosity getting the best of him as he looked into his glass.

"I gotta admit... that was indeed the nastiest, strongest, and most surprising concoction I have ever had in my almost 6 century lifespan." Veroen had a slightly lower tolerance for alcohol than normal Vampires, because he rarely drank, before he came to New York.
He then looked down, deep in thought at Marcus' words.
After a few moments, he answered.
"Honestly, I do not know what I shall do. I sure as hell will not stay with the Coven though.... I may just go solo, like I have been doing for the past five and a half centuries before I came to New York...Or, I may consider joining you guys.."
The thoughts of the coven quickly made his eye darker, and swirl with more of the Void.
He quickly pulled out a neatly rolled roll of cash, and took a few bills from it, and stuffed the roll back into a pocket on the inside of his leather trench coat.
The 3 bills were each 20 dollar bills, and he laid them on the counter and looked at Hunter expectantly.
Being an almost 6 century old Vampire meant that he had almost 6 centuries to gather up an astonishing amount of savings.
He let out a sigh, wishing to drink away his worries.

Hunter, an aged and retired Hunter (ironic, no?), studied the vampire in silence as he answered Marcus's question and watched, somewhat baffled as he produced a wade of cash to give to him. A grunt emitted from the man as he waved a dismissing hand at Veroen, shaking his head. Already having another glass made and sliding over to the vampire, Hunter chuckled a bit.
"I resent that bit about me drink. As fer joinin' us or what not...one can never be too short on friends. Also, ye get free drinks 'ere if ya join." The barkeep joked as he winked at Veroen before looking over to Marcus and chuckling even more. "And yer right. He did handle it better than ya."
Marcus grunted as he shook his head, holding an entertained smile on his face. "Yup. Big perk for being a hunter. Free booze. Plenty of potent grease-removing booze." Finishing his sip, Marcus glanced over to the vampire and studied the wad of cash. He sighed as he shook his head.
"God, you suck. I gotta work five days a week and twice a month on Saturdays to produce cash like that. You vampires suck." The hunter joked as he shook his head and glanced over to the array of drinks behind Hunter. "Anywho, you're welcomed here anytime and especially since you're Miss Jackson's main squeeze, I'm sure you'd be a shoe in for this place. Especially with your experience." The man continued as he sighed and glanced over to Veroen for a moment.
"Though to be honest with you. It would be nice to have the extra hand. But in the end, it's your choice and I'm sure Edith would love to have you on and yadda yadda yadda, but the choice is yours. I'd not take it too lightly." The hunter/business man said, his voice solemn as he watch the barkeep refill his glass.

Veroen glanced at Hunter with a raised eyebrow as he waved his hand at the money Veroen laid on the counter. He shrugged slightly, and took the cash and stuffed it back into the inside of his Leather Trench coat.
He then took the drink, and drank half of it in one gulp. He intended on getting drunk tonight.
"Well, you'd have about the same amount if you were as old as I am, my friend." He said this as he finished the rest of the drink.
He fought back the urge to cough, as he took out his finely rolled brownish tan Cuban Cigar. He then pulled out his Zippo with the phrase, "Audaces fortuna iuvat" engraved into its silver exterior. "Fortune favors the bold" he thought to himself once again, reading the Latin phrase on his silver Zippo. He lit his special Cuban Cigar, and puffed on it, as he he began to ponder the possibility of joining the ranks of the Hunters. He stuck his silver Zippo back into a pocket inside of his leather trench coat, and reached up and adjusted his eye patch covering the empty socket that once held his other eye in place.
He glanced up at Hunter with his single eye, signaling that he was ready for his third round of the dumbfounding concoction.
"It shall be something that I will greatly consider..." he said to them both, still dwelling on what had happened in the VIP section of Las Noches.
His eye swirled with blackness of the Void, like a black pool of water slowly draining into a hole.

Kerrigan smiled as Raven entered, her green eyes traveling over his work attire with a amused grin on her lips. Tossing her raven hair over her shoulders, the others started to make idle conversation around her, and while she was sure that some it was intended for her she did not respond. In all honesty, her mind was overtaken with thoughts of Sethe. Even as she sat her, surrounded by new and old friends and all the booze she could drink, an apathetic face met those who looked at her. Once in a while she sipped her drink before turning her attention back to the counter - it was the quietest anyone had seen her for a long time. In fact, it wasn't until Raven said something along the lines of "vampires suck" that her attention was captures by them once more, the huntress looking up quickly.
"Now Raven, you best behave yourself in present company. Veroen might go easy on you, but I sure won't...after all, you owe me big time!" Sticking her tongue out at him playfully, she downed the rest of her glass of whiskey in one go, a soft hiss escaping her fangs as she felt the amber liquid burn it's way down. Running her fingers back through her hair to get it out of her eyes, she turned her attention to the gathered group, determined not to let Sethe ruin this new start for her. This was the new Kerrigan, and she would never let someone from the past get in the way of her future, even if at one time it seemed he was her future. Motioning for Hunter to slide her another drink, she smiled at Veroen, repeating the sentiment Raven tried to eloquently to put.
"Yea, we can always use an extra hand. It'd be nice to have another vampire around to compare notes with," she said with a small grin, placing her head in her hand, elbow propping them up on the bar counter.

"Ah, well I might just have to with everyone wanting me on the Hunter's Roster..."
Then his mind went back to the strange man that entered the infirmary.
He then remembered that Edith was still in the infirmary with the man.
He then quickly brought up the subject, oblivious to the fact that kerri was trying to forget about it.
"So Kerrigan, who was the guy with the telepathic capabilities that I saw enter the Infirmary?"
A whisper of malevolent intentions rang through his head at the thought of this man being alone with Edith. He glanced to his other side, but then realizing that it was not Hunter, or Marcus. He then looked around as he narrowed his eye. He then focused his attention back to Kerrigan, quickly shoving the thoughts of the whispering to the side.

As soon as Veroen mentioned Sethe, the smile drained from her face, glad that Hunter chose that moment to deliver her drink. Taking a deep drink of the amber liquid, she took a deep drink before turning back to her fellow vampire, sighing slightly. If only she had time to tell him the whole story. If only she had the stomach to tell him the whole story - anytime someone brought him up the anger that arose was enough to make her feel sick.
"That is Sethe, aka Krii'Ouse. He is the Omega Hunter, at least he was back in the more active days of the original NYHG. He was also my fiance. Edith thinks of him as a brother, so you don't have anything to worry about with that, promise. All anyone has to really be concerned for is if the two of us get into a room alone again - last time it was pretty violent. Violent enough I was fed up and went to Boston to clear my head," she said, raising her glass with a sarcastic smile before throwing back the rest of the liquid before almost slamming it back onto the counter. Her eyes closed as the liquid burned it's way down her throat, flashing crimson as she opened them once more. Where she had been trying to forget about everything that happened, she was now reliving their last few months together before they parted ways - the constant fighting and arguing was enough to drive any girl crazy.

Veroen's eye narrowed again. The whispering in his head got slightly louder, and more defined, and made it difficult to listen to what Kerrigan was saying, though he got most of it to understand what she said.
He turned at his newly prepared drink, and downed all of it. He wondered if it was the alcohol that was making him hear things.
Or, it could be much, much worse. The Void could not have possibly grown that much inside of him to be affecting him this much, especially by whispering dark thoughts into his head.
He ignored the whispering, but it did not stop. He quickly took another drink, and downed in quicker than the last.
He was most likely drawing attention to himself, eye narrowed, and silently drinking and drinking. He began to get angry, wishing the whispering would stop. His eye swirled with deeper, darker power of the Void. He closed his eye and sat there silently for a moment, attempting to react to what Kerrigan had said.
"I see. I remember him. The Coven do not like him very much, from what I remember."
He grasped his next drink, the third one he'd had in under a minute.

Noelle sat in the seat another hunter offered her, smiling as he assured her that she was in the right place. Taking the drink that the bartender slid to her, she looked it over before taking it, sipping some of the liquid daintily. She was not usually one to drink, but considering she was in a social situation she wouldn't be rude. Now that she knew she was in the right place, she didn't really have anything to say - watching interactions of those around her was infinitely more interesting sometimes than trying to force a conversation with a new face. After all, she could gain a pretty accurate first impression from people just by watching them. It worked especially well when they didn't know what she did. She had yet to really introduce why she was there to begin with. Maybe Edith told them, but that could all wait til later.
The conversation turned to a woman with jet black hair, remarking that someone downstairs was her former fiance and the Omega of the hunters here. She could tell that the subject was touchy for the woman, and her therapist instincts were hard to ignore, telling her to try and figure out why this man was holding such a power over her, even though the relationship was clearly over. To stop herself, she took another drink of the glass provided, seeing the reaction of the man she was speaking to - drinking. For the first time since she really arrived, the blonde spoke up, trying to tamper the seriousness of her suggestion with kindness, so he would know that she was not speaking in a judgmental way.
"Maybe you should slow down on those. Especially if they are as deadly as everyone keeps saying."

Veroen glanced over at the girl that had been quietly observing the conversation, but then decided that she would comment on his drinking.
"I'm fine."
Of course, being a Vampire made it that much harder for him to get drunk, be he had to admit, he was beginning to feel the effects of the alcohol, but only slightly.

Alethea grinned at how the stuck-up vampiric man dismissed her as if nothing important and chuckled at his ignorance but instead raised her hand to call for the bartender. As he approached her, "I'll have your Hunter's special..." she says to him after she finished off her jack daniel & coke.
Even though it may come as a surprise to the other men, she could handle it. Her life was probably harder than this drink & she needed something to control the loneliness she seemed to feel distant with these other Hunters. As the bartender brought it back [ probably with a look of shock on his face ], she grinned at him and with the flick of her wrist, she downed the shot and with a grimacing groan she cleared her throat and only grinned tightly at the glass, "That's some hard s**t." she states bluntly and chuckles at it, "That's like satan in a shot." she cleverly jokes and only sets the glass down on the counter, contemplating to herself, not noticing if anyone really noticed her request on the special concoction that she had just downed so easily.

Veroen turned a bit to look at the other girl whom he did not not know, seeing as she chuckled at his statement. His eye narrowed.
The whispering in his head started up again.
He resisted the strong urge to grab the girl by the neck and snap it effortlessly. He downed yet another drink, surprised at his malevolent thoughts. He knew the girl was chuckling at him, and could not get his mind off of it. It was getting harder and harder for the Vampire Assassin to control himself.
He took yet another drink, and downed it quickly, finally beginning to feel its effects more. He then stood up, and without a word, walked towards the entrance. By doing so he was probably saving the life of the little girl that had chuckled at him. The Void was growing within him at an alarming rate, and Veroen knew it was only a matter of time before it broke free, and consumed him entirely.
The whispers told him to go back and torture the girl for her insolence, but he slightly clutched his head as he ignored it, and continued towards the entrance of the Bar.

Alethea watched the prissy p***k losing control of his power and chuckled once more at him as he didn't even have enough strength after 'Six Centuries' to control himself and didn't really care for this man as he had brushed her off, even when she was trying to be friendly.
Her eyes rolled to the cigarette that she consumed with her lips & toasted the other end with the flick of her zippo lighter that had a full moon engraved on it & she smiled, staring off into the bar, as if staring beyond it into a space of her brain as her telepathic abilities kicked in sharply without warning and noticed the whispering in his mind. She paused for a moment, as she took a long drag, listening for a moment and even if the grin had faded, it found it's way back to her lips - spreading like a disease, able to infect those with aggravation. Alle only shook her head 'He's too unstable to be with others on this team...not with other species.' she agreed with herself mentally & continued on allowing him to run free from the bar, not really taking note of whether those voices had been directed at her, she had nothing against this old moron.

Veroen glanced back at everyone just in time to see the girl's smile spread across her face at him leaving. He stopped, and the Void instantly took advantage of the situation.
'She thinks you to be an old fool, Veroen. She does not know the things you have seen, or the things you have experienced.... Are you gonna let this worthless half human girl think such thoughts? She has no idea what you could do to her...'
Veroen clenched his fists, and anger built in him towards the girl, and towards the Void urging him to kill her.
In a flash he was standing next to the girl, eye narrowed, and fists clenched.
"Is there a problem? You seem to have one. May I ask why?"
He was holding back on his raging emotions. He was not used to the void affecting him like this. It never had in his long, Vampiric existence.
