((EDIT!)) "You're not getting up until I think you've calmed down...", he growled down at the little one, turning to smile at Jasiri as she approached him. The things she was saying caused him to turn and flare his whiskers a bit, he didn't think he deserved that much credit- they had helped him escape as much as he had helped them, and on top of everything they had kept him fed and taught him to hunt-kind of. "Thank you Jasiri...." He turned and gave her another of his sheepish smiles, flattered that she'd stand up so firmly for him.
He growled a bit as the cub beneith his paws began to spew out his venomous words. He narrowed his eyes and looked down to the cub sharply, "Wouldn't know what he taught you eh? I'll have you know that I grew up beside Kui... him and I played like you and your siblings did. He shared with me his hopes and dreams of the future. Even after you were born I would listen to the things he'd say to you, the ideals he held dear. Though many were a bit questionable now that I look back on them I'm sure he didn't teach you to attack like a damn fool."
Looking up to Mufasa he returned to the sheepish looking male he had been before. The king's words confused him- was he telling him to go alone or giving him permission to take the others with him? He really couldn't be too sure, "Sire? Do... I have your permission then?"

Kimeti growled at the young lioness who didn't appear to be much older than his own sisters. "Brave? Taking care of a cub in the middle of a desert that he had grown up in." Kimeti laughed. "Far from it. It's his stupidity that makes him think he would survive returning to the Firekin pride."
As Mwali spoke he turned his head and raised his lips a bit. "Don't talk about father. You betrayed him by leaving the pride, you were his only brother and you left him. In my opinion you have no right to even think of him as a brother anymore. From what father spoke of, you never even said farewell to anyone besides my mother."
He turned his gaze back to the dark female, something about her was causing him to dive back into his cub hood until...there... now he remembered. "You." He said to the female. "I remember you now. You're that cub that mother brought into the den that one day. She was protecting you from grandfather."

Jasiri sighed. "Yes, I do remember you Kimeti." She nudged the side of his face, though she was still quite mad about his angry words. "Your mother and father were very kind, and helped us all escape, as did Mwali." She lowerd down a bit to his level, looking him in the eye. He had changed much from the cute fluffball she had seen in the den. "We want to return to help your pride, Kimeti. We will do all we can. Is that so horrible? And about your mother... she must miss your terribly! Why are you roaming out here all alone?"

"Coward or not...." He smiled a bit down to the cub, "You're still at MY mercy. I could make you a slave to the Pridelanders you know... see if that humbles your spirit a bit. Let you know how it feels. Then perhaps one day a coward will save your life and you'll learn to appreciate things better." He was only kidding of course but it was enough to hopefully get his point accross, "Wheather or not I'm fit to be anyone's relation the reality of the matter is that I am. I am the son of Makadari, the brother of Kui, and the rightful king to the throne they tragically left behind. That means that YOU have no say in anything at the present. Like it or not the firekin are now under the lead of this coward." He hated saying those words, hated the thought of it but he knew that perhaps the cub hated them more. Oh yes, Mwali had been quite the brat back in his day and now seemed the perfect time to let some of that surface, "If I tell you to roar you say "How loud?", if I tell you to hunt you ask "What species?", and when I tell you that you will respect these lions just as you would any of our kin you sure as hellfire will." He pressed one of his paws down a bit more, lowering his head down to glare right into the cub's face, "Do-I-Make-myself-clear? You're no longer a prince if I say so... get that into your head."

Kimeti growled at Jasi as she nudged him. He didn't want any type of affection from her or anyone within these lands. "I personally don't believe in slaves. A lion should be able to fend for himself, that was something that mother and father believed. If grandfather would have made you a slaved, mother and father would have set you free once they were rulers."
He turned his attenion to Mwali as he spoke. King, him? In his wildest of dreams and as the lion continued to speak about his power Kimeti broke out in laughter. "That owuld be all fine and good IF the pride accepted you back which will never happen, so you are far from being the next lion to take the throne in the firekin pride. No traitor would ever hold such an honorable position."
Kimeti was growing tired of being pinned to the ground in such a manner, and to be honest, it was not the most comfortable having the grown male's weight on him. He tried to wriggle himself free once agian but to no prevail.

(9Sorry x.x I just noticed the edit.. and then Gaia ate my post.... Blahhhhhhhhh ))
-A soft snarl touched the gentle king as he heard the harsh threats coming from the red lion. Be they bluff or not, he didn't want the youth thinking such things were allowed within the pride lands, and he stood, nearing. A warning growl touched his throat.-
"Mwali.. I'd suggest keeping such words to yourself, atleast until you are in the desert. You know those thoughts.. and words.. aren't of our pride, and I won't allow them from within.
Blood doesn't make you king. Acceptance of your people.. be it happily or by force does. Get going... Prepare yourself and the others going with you and go do what it is you feel needs to be done. But until you step onto the desert sands, do remember that you're part of the pridelands, and should act accordingly."

Jasiri grinned at the kings words. They would all need to get ready. She eyes Kimeti once again. They should probably take him back to his mother. "Mwali, you can let go of Kimeti ONLY IF he agrees to accompany us to the Firekin lands and back to his mother." She directed her words towards Kimeti and winked at Mwali. She could tell the little lion was uncomfortable, and would not want to stay like that much longer. She planned to go hunting afterwards, and hoped the juvinille wouldnt take up to much time.

(( gonk another missed post , pardons x_x') "One thing about the firekin, sir... is that blood is one of the most important things.", he glanced down to the cub again, gods it was tempting to let it all out there. To inform the cub that he was a halfblood and that he was just as much at the mercy of the pride as Mwali himself was, that the cub's very life depended on wheather or not Mwali decided to keep his mouth shut. He knew the truth of his parents, and that truth very well could leave Mwali as the perminant thing- something he really didn't want. His paw slowly came off the little lion's body and back to under Mwali. He watched him with sharp eyes, his ears lowered a bit. If he dared to attack anyone- Mwali just might let his claws out next time. This whole situation had him in a very different mind set- something he didn't like at all but no one could really blame him. He didn't want to be king, he didn't like the fact that his own family thought of him as a trator, and even more that his dear brother had probibly died thinking so much of him. With a deep breath he rose to all fours and began for the boarder, his eyes narrowed into a deep frown. He knew the others would follow him on their own pace.
Damn it all.... damn the plegue, damn the goddess for what she's done, damn my luck.... what a joke- lazy, tretcherous Mwali returning to the throne...Gods what will the lioness' think? Surely the cub's mother will understand, she very well may be thankful for my return. The burden off her shoulders. But of the others- those brutal huntresses....
"Come on Jasiri, Sukutu... we don't have time to linger. Kimeti- you come too or I'll drag you every mile of the way by your tail."

Kimeti glared at Jasi as she tried to strike a deal but he said not a word. He'd rather be stuck under Mwali then help them find their way back to the pride.
The pressure that was on his side finally lifted and Kimeti looked up at Mwali who was already walking away. Rising to his own four paws, Kimeti growled slightly, though was far from picking another fight at the moment. Maybe...just maybe... he should lead them back. The pride could definitly take care of the traitor and a few of his weakling companions. His sisters knew how to fight, they had learned by play fighting with him when they were younger and the lionesses could take care of themselves.
"Don't worry oh illustrious one, I am right behind you." Kimeti grinned as he followed several paces behind the brighter red hued lion. Now all he needed to do was find a way to send word back to his pride about the whole ordeal. They needed warning of course, but finding a creature who could move faster than a lion in the desert and would actually aid him was something that would be very hard to find.

Jasiri followed the others back to the cave, eyeing Kimeti warily. That look didnt look good. She knew she couldn't trust Kimeti fully, him obviously hating her and the others. She shook her head and stoped at the entrace of the cave."Now that thats setteld, we better get some food. It will be awile till we eat again. Ill go hunt and bring us something to eat, you guys stay here." Jasi walked out of the cave, thinking about the whole situation. She was going back to the Firekin. Maybe they wouldnt be so bad since there king died. And Kiu seemed like a nice enough lion when she met him awile back. Maybe everything would turn out ok. She turned her attention to a heard of Zebra that were grazing not far off. "Hmm, that one looks good and meaty...and it has a bad limp. Perfect..." She weaved inbetween the tall grass, crouched low. The excitment of the hunt filled her, and for a moment she forgot about the world around her. She let out a mighty roar and plunged towards the unsuspecting animals rump. The animal let out a load cry before falling limp on the ground. Jasi sat next to the creature, and licked the sweet blood of her maw. This would last them awile. The adolecent took the Zebra by the hind legs and dragged it off towards the cave. When she got to the entrace she droped the juicy meat infront of everyone so they could feast.

-Watching the group begin to leave, he suddenly wondered where his mate was.. He always liked her input when he made such a large decision, and he'd be lying to state he wasn't worried about the outcome.
But the young had to live and push on their own fate, otherwise nothing would ever happen. He waited for them to disappear from the horizon, before he turned back to find Maawio, and then, perhaps some of the lioness'.-
