Zendia rocketed downwards towards Hoth, getting a view of the beautiful ice planet in her cockpit as she entered the outer atmosphere. "It's pretty, I can say that much." she commented. Rusty even beeped his agreement at that. "It's like the polar regions of Alderaan, but covering the whole planet,"

"Looks like a ball of ice to me," Kefka said over the comm.
"I doubt they'll get any of our equipment to work," he added as he could see the shield being lowered and the convoy descending down slowly.

"Well, we take what we're give, don't we?" Kefka said as he landed his X-Wing smoothly on an ice covered landing strip. There were vehicles there that would later haul them to the hangar.
"Wonder why we're landing here?" Kefka said to himself.

Zendia too landed just behind Kefka, and exited her own X-wing. She received a bit of a shock once the icy, bitter air hit her face. "It's chilly, isn't it, Rusty?" she said, her breath in front of her in a misty cloud.

Kefka climbed out of the cocpit of the X-Wing and felt a rush of cold hit his body. Immediately his nose and hands froze up and his ears felt like they were going to explode.
"What the hell?!" Kefka said, startled.
Luckily a transport arrived and he rushed into it and although the transport was not much warmer, it felt like a 30 degree difference to the frozen pilots of the rebellion.

((Sorry for missing the fun. I had a big speech to do at school. I hate summer semesters, why on Earth I opted to pay $185 to take speech in a condensed six week period is beyond me.))
Azure brought the X-wing down near Kefka and Zendia. She then popped out followed by her astromech droid. "Oh my God! This place is c-c-c-cold." she said as her teeth chattered. As the transport arrived she ran to get in. She looked at her commander "Godd news is I already have blue skin." she said jokingly.

(( I imagine that Hoth is pretty rough for twileks. sweatdrop But then, the temps described by others are no picnic for pretty much anyone, except maybe wookies. ))
At Kefka and Azure's comments, Zendia couldn't help but smile despite the cold, and joined them inside the transport. "I think our first priority is to get a good, quality hot chocolate machine installed somewhere in here!" She then looked to Kefka. "Too bad that Mon Cal guy isn't with us anymore." She then looked to Azure, explaining, "His droid used to give him water on Tattooine. I imagine I'd like to have Rusty make some good, hot choco,"

"Chocolate?" Kefka asked. "Never heard of it. What's it like?" he said as the transport turned onto a vast plain of tundra.

"Yes," Zendia said, turning to Kefka. "They had some on Yavin. Really sweet, and goes well with pastries." She then looked outside, to where there were a few furry creatures with slender, almost lizard-like bodies, running about. "Must be native life-forms to this world."

"Sounds good," Kefka replied as he nodded at the tauntauns running across the snow.
"I've seen a holo of those once, at the Coruscant HoloZoo. They're called Tauntauns. Annoying little creatures," he added.

Sure enough, Gendis was already riding one, and approached them. "Sheesh, took you long enough. We gotta get to that base before it gets dark. Grab one of these smelly raptors here, or take the lumbering transport. Your pick."

Orrin regretfully landed, but refused to come out of his cockpit.
"I think I'll just land a bit closer to base, mind you now," but upon finding no other landing sites available, he nearly exploded.
"How can you not have an empty hangar if we're the expedition group?"
"They're for the speeders. The X-wings can keep warm."
"Listen. All I have is a black shortsleeve tshirt on right now. How am I going to keep warm?"
"Guess you're going to freeze your choobies off. Welcome to hoth."
The string of curses could be heard, as Orrin landed, and faced the cold.
"Hell, a damn droid's oil would freeze out here."
