"Ahahahahaha! Yes, tremble before my creation! Scurry back down to those cowards below!"
From high above, Darkrai's laughter could be heard as the legend witnessed the army of pokemon begin to lose heart. Not that the ghastly pokemon could blame them. The monstrosity he summoned... was rather hideous. That was kind of the point. Big, scary, and hard to get rid of, just like any good nightmare should be. So when he saw that a few pokemon had still trudged onward to face the towering beast, the legendary master of nightmares faltered.
"Aha... ha... Uh. Ahem."
After clearing his throat, Darkrai floated lower, coming back towards the plateau. He stayed behind his creation, though, and was more peeking at the group from around the beast's side. "You... Uh..." The legend's voice had lost most of its bombastic flair as he addressed the first few pokemon that reached the plateau. "Y-you were supposed to leave. You know, be afraid. Run away. Maybe a little screaming for a dramatic touch?" Darkrai's suggestions fell upon deaf ears, though, as the orange and white Shelgon and the timid Noivern each gave a brief rallying speech to encourage their allies. The legend looked a little deflated as the first wave of the encroaching army made it quite clear that they wished to fight instead.
Before anything else could be said, a powerful beam of electricity startled Darkrai back up into the air due to the Dunsparce with bird wings attacking the legend's creation. "S-so be it!" In spite of the initial stutter, the dark, dramatic voice had returned as the master of nightmares slowly swept one of his arms out in front of him. "If pain is what you wish, then suffer!" Darkrai's arm stopped while its outward palm faced Daphnes and through an unspoken command, the towering guardian began to move.
"DOOOOOOOOOOF!"
As the pokemon let out another booming roar, it stepped closer to the Shelgon before kicking with one of its powerful legs. Today was not a good day to look like a ball. At least there was a pillar of stone to bring Daphnes' unwanted flight to a crashing halt. The beast let out another mountain-shaking roar as its beady gaze narrowed at the other pokemon that dared to threaten its creator.
As if! Hearing the Darkrai voice that they needed to be afraid, the Shelgon scuffed at the very idea of it. "Aye, only a true coward would leave at the sight of that thing!" Daphnes shouted. Daphnes looked back hearing more Pokemon gathering behind them, seemed with only one foe to face it was time for a mass team effort. Suddenly, Dune launched forward, attacking the beast with such ferocity it momentarily took Daphnes off guard.. he hadn't expected his speech to have that reaction. "Pain is just the reward when defending the weak as I see it. Means we've done our part!" As Daphne stated this, he heard the towering giant cry before finding a right painful kick as his 'reward' Thankfully a convenient pillar stopped his momentum, leaving the Dragon dazed for a moment. "Huh?!" Daphnes huffed as he made his way back to his stubby legs. "You call that pain! I've taken falls more painful than that!" The Shelgon called, and with quickly gathered momentum the ball-shaped dragon came in with a powerful Zen Headbutt

The creature before them, summoned by Darkrai was likely meant as a last ditch effort to scare away the Pokemon from getting to Darkrai himself, and though Radium wished she was anywhere else but here.... with her teammates at her side she felt a strange sense of bravery wash over her. Running froward as she listened to Piper's words, the mouse nodded, just as they'd always done, right? Closing her eyes she tried her hardest to summon from herself the power she'd used on the last two guardians... but something wasn't right. "Its-it's not working..." Radium voiced... she couldn't feel it.... Had she forgotten it that quickly? Furrowing her brow she looked back to Piper and the rest of her team... but then the Giant creature let out a roar and attacked another Pokemon nearby... the fight.. it started. There was no time to figure out why she suddenly couldn't use her power, it was time to fight. lifting up her stick she pointed the flame towards the Bidoof monstrosity. "I'm not going to run away!" She proclaimed. Snapping off the funky yellow mushroom that had started to grow on her stick along side the fatter orange one she made a bold movement tossing the whole thing into her mouth, then she snapped off the big orange one and ate that one two.. if these mushrooms were meant to make her stronger then now was as good a time as any to consume them.
In retrospect it was likely not a good idea to eat two mushrooms in one sitting, but the consequences could be dealt with later, as of now Radium felt a quickly growing surge of energy overcome her tiny body and after a moment she waved her stick and began running at the beastly creature. Faster and faster she ran until her whole body was lit up in a blinding white light after a leap into the air, she brought down herself on the torso of the abomination using her stick like a sword.... had.. has she somehow combined Volt Tackle and Solar Blade in some way?

☆ ☆【Well, to say that this looked pretty bad would likely be quite an understatement… Here they were on the top of a mountain facing this absolute titan of a nightmare that Darkrai had conjured up from the shadows, the only options they were given were to leave or fight. The legendary nightmare Pokemon laughed as despair and bewilderment swept through the ranks of Pokemon at the sight of the monstrosity before them, but even so, some of them began to march forward with clear intent that they weren’t going to leave. Darkrai seemed somewhat taken aback as his laughter petered out, the being floating back down towards the plateau yet clearly keeping his enormous abomination between himself and the army of Pokemon as he suggested that they were supposed to be running away and screaming. Piper was not so easily swayed in spite of how intimidating that thing was, she had absolutely no intention of going back as she gave her best attempt at an inspiring speech to encourage her companions. This was the only way out, there were no other options available and if they ran, they would surely end up stuck in this place forever. If the only way to escape was to fight, then the Noivern was willing to take a stand.
In spite of Darkrai’s apparent disappointment that his monstrous creation had failed to scare any of them off, the first shot to strike the guardian was fired off as a strong beam of pure electric energy struck the beast dead on and forced the nightmare legend to take to the air once more. The fight was on now! Radium ran forth and tried to summon the empowering sparks like she had done before, but it seemed that no matter how hard she tried nothing happened. ”Wh-What? B-But… how?” Piper chirruped in disbelief as the Pichu said that it wasn’t working. They had been able to do it perfectly fine before… why was it not working now of all times? Unless… perhaps there was something that was preventing it from being used? Radium looked uncertain as she looked around at the rest of the team, but their attention was quickly drawn to the monstrous thing as it roared and kicked at a Shelgon close by, sending it flying into a nearby stone pillar. Piper narrowed her eyes, dropping into a pouncing pose as she prepared to take to the air. Radium pointed her stick at the Bidoof abomination, declaring that she wasn’t going to run as she broke off both of the mushrooms that had been growing on her stick and quickly devoured them. With a warbling cry, the Noivern took to the skies as the Pichu broke into a dead sprint towards the thing. ”B-Be careful, Ray!” she quickly called out, turning her attention back towards the titanic beast as she flew in a slow circle around it.
Opening her maw wide, Piper summoned forth the blue and purple energies of her Dragon Pulse, but to her confusion and surprise the small ball that had gathered suddenly dissipated and winked out. Instead, what burst forth was a surge of bright pink, forming an almost flower-like shape in front of her mouth before suddenly screaming forth in the form of a great, powerful laser. The blast struck the beast’s side, continuing to carve its way along its flanks and backside as Piper flew a steady circuit around it. As the beam gradually faded, the Noivern was left in disbelief, she didn’t recall ever learning a move quite like that before… Still, there was hardly any time to think as she banked hard and moved in to hover in the air above the army of Pokemon facing down the beast, prepared to dive in and rescue any that could possibly be sent flying off the mountain by the colossus’s attacks while keeping a close eye on her teammates in particular.】☆ ☆

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes, Chickpea, Dune, Valoo, Natu
☆ ☆【Mogwai puffed out his chest in defiance at the Darkrai’s suggestion that they ought to be running away and screaming, the Bewear completely intending to push through and fight as he narrowed his eyes and stared hard at Darkrai and his monstrous guardian. ”Yeeeeees! Kniiiiiights noooooot cooooowaaaaaards!” he declared in agreement with Daphnes’s words, clenching his fists as he took on a heroic pose in preparation to fight. His ears twitched as more Pokemon among the crowd that had gathered so far gave their own rallying speeches to their allies and stepped forward with the intent to engage the monstrosity. It seemed that unlike with the guardians from before, they had only one single enemy to face this time around. And even still, the army of Pokemon that stood upon the peak was gradually growing larger as more finally made their way up to the top. Seemed that they only option here was for everyone to work together, a mass team effort to take down this beast and surely Darkrai afterwards.
With a sudden burst of almost uncanny speed, Dune shot forth, firing off the first shot at the gigantic abomination with a powerful laser made of electricity directed right at the Bidoof creature’s face. The force of the blast dealt a pretty decent blow, and forced Darkrai to take to the skies once more as he commanded his creation to attack. The monster let out another thunderous roar as it began to move forward, swinging a leg back before launching it forth in a powerful arcing kick directed right at Daphnes. Mogwai watched with a mix of shock and horror as his brother in arms was sent flying off like a football being launched towards the goal, though thankfully a conveniently placed pillar stopped the Shelgon’s impromptu flight before he ended up tumbling right off the mountain. ”Siiiiiiire Daaaaaaphneeeees!” the Bewear called out in alarm, even though it seemed the Shelgon was more or less fine aside from being a bit dazed that had certainly looked very painful. Thankfully, Daphnes was able to bounce back quickly enough as he righted himself back up and called out challengingly to the beast before charging in with a Zen Headbutt.
Mogwai, on the other hand, felt a surge of raw fury boiling within him as he turned back towards the beast. ”Naaaatuuuuu fiiiiiind saaaaafe plaaaaaace,” he growled, warning the tiny bird atop his head to go find a safe area to wait out the fight. That thing… That fiend had attacked his fellow knight… The Bewear hardly minded taking a hit or two himself, he was tough enough to be able to hold his own quite well for the sake of protecting others from harm. But for his teammate and friend to be hurt like that… it made him furious beyond belief. Brow furrowed in an absolutely angry expression that seemed very uncharacteristic of the normally cheerful and affectionate bear, Mogwai marched forward purposefully after ensuring Natu had gotten to safety as his fists surged with freezing cold energy. With how large the beast was, he’d have a much harder time aiming for the head or any weak points that were higher up on its massive body. However… though its feet and ankles were covered in golden armor, its upper legs didn’t have that same kind of protection around them. With a roar, Mogwai swung a heavy, freezing fist at what appeared to be the thing’s knee (well, one of them at least), intending to perhaps cause it to falter and maybe even ultimately topple it over. It might take a good dozen... maybe several hits to accomplish a feat like that if it were possible, but the Bewear was persistent. Surely there were other weak spots around its lower body that could be exploited... it was just a matter of finding where they were.】☆ ☆

As the group approached, a shape silloetted by the sinking sun loomed beyond the peak. The closer the ragtag team got, the larger the figure looked. Even before Allure reached the plateau, it could easily be seen that this monstrosity easily dwarfed the undead dragon most of the group were riding on. "H-how are we supposed to fight that?!" Luna squeaked as the group neared their destination. As if to answer her question, several other pokemon gathered at the top began to do just that, lashing out at the terrible beast with beams of energy and fists of fury. The small eevee could even see a tiny pichu leap up to join the fray. After, of course, failing to empower the others. It seemed that the eevee's support moves would do no good in this fight.
That... Meant there were really only two options for the small pokemon. Turn back, or try to fight. But after coming such a long way and having to face so many scary pokemon... To turn back now would mean all her efforts and attempts at bravery would be wasted. Luna let out a little whimper and hesitated, shutting her eyes and shaking her head. She couldn't give up! Not now! The small eevee came to a decision and when her eyes opened again, they were filled with determination. "I'll go ahead and help out! Catch up when you can!" she warned the others before leaping off Allure's back and hurrying ahead. Unlike Raf or Allure, Luna was small, even for an eevee, so while climbing up rocks was a challenge, the narrow path failed to hinder the young pokemon in the slightest. In almost no time at all she had sprinted the rest of the way up to the peak and slammed into the terror's... big toe. Okay, not exactly impressive, but the little eevee was absolutely tiny compared to the hulking amalgamation that Darkrai had summoned. She was doing her best, and that's what counted!

Ulani hadn’t missed the massive being that loomed over them all as Darkrai’s voice boomed. Nor did she miss that others were engaging this horrific abomination currently. It was an epic battle for the ages! But she was scared. And it showed. She couldn’t help but tremble as she tried to linger closer to Prim. She didn’t want to fight that thing! There weren’t enough berries around here for something that size!
What were they going to do?! She looked at her teammates; first to Prim and then back to Cling and Dice. The noodle looking Pokémon didn’t look all that confident about what was going on and the Cubone was still struggling to catch up it seemed. She supposed that was what happened with a baby.
The Emolga had to really buckle down and think, swallowing her fear and giving Prim a determined look. "Pretty flower we gotta stop that nightmare! But let’s not get hurt okay?" She commented and looked to Cling and Dice as well. "We gotta beat it up!" And with that she stepped a few steps forward, only to squeak as the abomination gave a howl of “DOOF” and unconsciously she let off a shock of electricity at the creature. That thing was horrible!

Despite her earlier, brave, claims, Natu still found her feathers fluffing up in fear as the fight actually began. Especially when the... monstrosity that was the mesh of body parts, attacked Daphnes, and then Mogwai was encouraging her to find a safe place; she couldn't very well stay perched on his head for the entire fight. She didn't hesitate, and fluttered a ways away from Mogwai, and the fight, just in time to watch him unleash an ice punch. Chickpea, on the other hand, was still making his way up the mountain (giving Natu that pep talk had set him back some) but managed to catch sight of Sir Daphnes being sent flying back. His cheeks puffed out, anger for once flashing over his face, and hurdled himself forward.
