[ Zeke - trapped under a segment of bug ] There was nothing to grab onto as the weight of the giant titan crushing him began to drag him down into the sand. He scrambled for purchase, hands digging at it as the panic he had been managing to reign in bubbled over and out in choked, strangled noise. He couldn't even take in enough air to scream. He was going to disappear beneath the sand, buried alive, and that would be it! { Fight back!} Summoning the axe was reactionary, Lagertha shouted in the back of his mind an then appeared in his hands. Though he didn't have a good angle for it, couldn't draw the weapon back to swing it properly. He couldn't even see if he was doing any damage to it as he swung blindly. HP: 9 DMG: 3/20 CHG: 1/2 and be blue Just keeping you in the loop iloveyoudie Just keeping you in the loop

Desperation fueled a more vicious series of swings. He still couldn't see, and with how hard it was to draw a proper breath he was beginning to wonder if the darkness was just from the sand spilling down on top of him around the mammoth bit of body that was dragging him under.

It felt like walls were closing in on him. He was suffocating, his mouth filling with more and more sand with every desperate breath he drew in. If he didn't free himself now it wouldn't happen at all.
{You can do this, boil. It's not time to die yet!}
Thrashing let him turn onto his side beneath the crushing weight, and finally he managed to grip the axe with both hands and he pulled it back as far as the sand and the centipede allowed, winding up for one last, panic fueled swing.
This time he felt the blade bite into the carapace. This timep/i] the titan seemed to respond to his attacks. Either that or it was simply shifting it's enormous body. The weight that had been dragging him down lifted, and Zeke jerked his head out of the sand to pull in a ragged, gasping breath.

Caught totally off guard by the rumbling and shifting of the sands beneath her feet as the largest centipede she had ever seen in her life so far emerged to tower above them all, Nellie tried to ignore how much she was hurting from the scrapes and the sand that had gotten into them as she quickly pushed herself up. After locating Henry who was now looking shaken by everything that he had been tossed into so far, she made a dash over to grab his arm and try to drag him away from the titan.
"We need to go!"

Sand wasn't the best for changing direction quickly, but as Roland grabbed her arm to yank her around in the opposite direction she turned with him, digging her toes in the pick up speed quickly. "We need to get away from it's legs." Ha! The legs were everywhere. Shifting her grip to wrap her hand around his, she'd give him a tug, leading him away from this particular seething mass of giant legs. HP: 32

Travis had been on two major missions, and both were to the desert. This desert. This hell. Could he even count this as a mission? He was supposed to be going to a meeting but here he was, in the sand, trying to stay away from centipedes. He wasn't supposed to be here. He was supposed to home, eating his apple.
Why? Why was this happening?
Travis had only one thought as the giant mother bug crawled up out of the sand. "At least it's not the teethy thing under the sand."

Cold? What? How was that possible when they were in the middle of a freaking desert and with no shade in sight? Was Ardwyad coming down with something? Wait a minute. Can weapons get sick even?
Unable to reach in time to the sudden shift of the sand which totally sent Alicia tumbling to the ground with Tweet hanging onto her (something that she would have taken great delight in if not for the fact that they were both out in the desert and there was now a giant centipede that had sprouted from the sand), the Sun Hunter quickly sprang to action as soon as the disturbance in the sand had stabilised somewhat.
"No time to waste hanging around and figuring out how to deal with that humongous steroid overdosed centipede! We got to get out of here or to somewhere safe!"
She squeaked as she picked herself up and started running, not at all caring if Tweet was still hanging onto her at the moment.

Kingsley got hit pretty bad when the hugest centibro he had ever seen, like the centiking, jumped out of the beach.
Got you, brother! His weapon barked. He got the sensation of Wags running and grabbing his hand, and in turn, he got up, holding onto the spear. It clicked in one big moment, and he knew where they were.
"Dude," he said, "This is not the beach. We're like...isn't this Famine's pad? Okay, we were so not invited, so this is like...really rude of us to be here."

Shay had not bothered to fight the mob of bugs. It made no sense to her to attack something that they intruded upon. It was like shooting a bunch of lions when you fell into their den.
When another hunter went by to burn them away, she just stared at the man with the torch and waved slowly. That was his choice but not one she felt was right. Karma had a funny way to prove this as more came, but she didn't fight them, and they nipped before rushing off. The mother of all of them, a true grand elder of it's kind, rose up in a sign of protection. It was rather touching. Shay HP: 32/40

Being quick and as flexible as Peyton was out of his skill set, so he just ran as best he could. Looking up didn't even enter his mind until a massive shadow blocked the sun, and considering the desert had no trees, he had the worst feeling of what it was. Just as he looked up, the weight of the massive bug fell upon him like a tractor trailer and he felt his ribs creak and lungs press out of all air when it pinned him to the hot, stinging sand.

The 9-1-1 call hadn't worked, because they didn't need the regular hospital and the regular police. They needed the like, Fear Police, which is what they were.
Suddenly he was lifted up by- hey, woah, wasn't that like The Boss? And he and Wags were holding on to the centipede like the lead character in a really bad Neverending Story poster.

Squinting up into the darkness Luna fished out the Runic Torch she had been given earlier by a passing hunter. Pointing upwards with it she gave it a small burst of fire to see if she could make anything out.
"Any idea where or what this is?" She glanced around finally noticing she was missing her sister with a frown.
