So... how do I get my character to activate his Sacred Gear? I'm kinda assuming he's already got the demon flowing through him, since his gear is what enables him to function.

I'm pretty sure he has to die and get brought back to life as a demon. That seems to be how everyone else did it.. He has to find a clan.. And the leader will kill him somehow. Then bring him back as a member of the clan...

It's already activated, if it wasn't, he'd still be in the hospital as a vegetable.. or pretty close to it. The Gauntlet in his arm is what gives him his physical 'life'

Well, he probably won't be able to use it until he dies. ^^ I've actually given it some thought... if I use a tragic arc for Jean. Jean 'died' in the hospital while his father was building his arm. He died mentally, and emotionally from the pain of watching his father slowly fade into a monster of a man, and the despair of his mother dying in front of him. Emotionally, he became apathetic. Mentally, he didn't care if he died tomorrow. When Jean was brought back, he was ecstatic. His life... there it was. As time goes on, he learns the life he has is purely artificial. He only lives 'physically' as the person he was died in the hospital... I guess you could say 'Jean' is the person you're RP'ing with, and Jensen died in the hospital.

I dunno if he can. It depends on the MOD definition of what being dead entails. The biological version of it (Heart stops beating, no brainwaves, etc.) or a philosophical version of dead.
Also, your character may play a crucial role in Jean's story.
