  Green swirled eyes widened at the sight of Xero plunging his keyblade into the ground, casting Quake. As the blonde thief temporarily lost her footing from the violent shaking of the earth, she had let go of her cousin. However, she did manage to fortuitously activate her dressphere. Dropping on her butt, a hellish red pool of blood formed underneath the young blonde. When Xero threw his Slow spell at Rikku, the blood pool seemed to swallow the girl up. For a couple of moments the glowing bloody torrent on the ground flared with what felt like.... rage. Absolute rage.... Practically exploding from the now boiling pool, Rikku reemerged bearing heavy dark spiked armor and a wicked looking greatsword made of black steel and inscribed with golden glyphs of an unknown enchantment. Seemingly expelled from Hell's dark heart, Rikku parried Xero's Keyblade. Xero's foot met a reinforced armored shin. The blonde dark knight grunted slightly from the hit and growled in the key-wielder's face, "We meet again, O' Thief of Hearts! Maybe I should just take yours... BY RIPPING IT OUT OF YOUR CHEST!!!"While keeping Masamune hilt-locked with the opposing keyblade, Rikku the Dark Knight pushed forward trying to get Xero on the back of his heels. The Al Bhed was waiting for the moment that her red-headed opposition to get his blade disengaged from her's -- and then throw her Break ability which could petrify or confuse Xero.

Xero"I need... to become whole again..." "...?" Xero blinked. "Uh, did I miss something? ...Did I win? That was easy." He expected that wasn't the case, actually.
"Hoo..." Xero gulped. She seems pissed... Considering how their last confrontation went, he wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to fight her again. And then she emerged, in the same armor she had donned the last time they had met. "We keep meeting like this, don't we? I kinda prefer your other outfit. Really, uh, brings out your eyes." More like, it was far less intimidating. Though he wasn't aware she was extremely capable in that class as well. As she yelled in his face, Xero grunted. It was clear in his eyes he very was intimidated by her. "I-I would prefer a less painful method, actually. Like, uh, dinner by candlelight?" He was making a poor joke, as if her "taking his heart" comment was being used romantically. He, grunted once more as he felt the Al Bhed overpowering him. Xero was a skilled Keyblade Wielder, and strong, but it was clear Rikku had the edge in physical strength.
"I'm flattered you remember me, though. I feel so loved." Well, he might feel more so if the blonde didn't have her giant sword so close to him. Though she was pressing him, he put all his strength into shoving her blade off his keyblade, immediately following up by pointing the keyblade at her, sending out a torrent of heavy orbs of water to slam into the girl and try to knock her over while doing damage. Or at least, that's what he was GOING to do. Rikku was too quick on the draw, though, and used Break before he could execute his attack. Luckily for him, he wasn't Petrified, but he did suffer Confusion. Blinking his eyes madly for a moment, he seemed suddenly very dazed and, of course, confused. "Wha... huh...?" He tried to focus on the Dark Knight in front of him, but it was impossible to. She was a blur to him and seemed to blend in with the background. Raising his keyblade, he tried anyway to fire a heavy orb of water, but it missed its target by a wide margin. It was almost embarrassing, considering the fact that she was still only a few feet away from him. "Th-this..." He had trouble even focusing on what words he was trying to say, though that would subside before the actual Confusion would. Clearly, this had never happened to him before. (( OOC: ))

As Xero was affected by Rikku's attack, a crooked evil smile formed on normally gentle features, "All too easy..." Striding in toward the confused combatant, the young Al Bhed dark knight swung Masamune down... directly on the black keyblade -- knocking it clear of Xero's grasp. Glancing over her shoulder at her hostess, "Rinoa, please secure that blade. Be careful, I can sense the darkness within..."Cruel reddish swirled eyes bored their gaze at the 'confused' Xero, "And then there is you... Can't have you threatening my only living cousin, can I?...." With that, Rikku grabbed Xero's shoulder and yanked him forward to plant him face-first on the ground. The dark knight immediately planted her steel booted foot in between the redhead's shoulders, and raised Masamune high over her head -- ready to deliver a lethal blow. And at that moment, Rikku's red swirled eyes met Yuna's.....

  It was at that moment, Yuna stepped into the madness. Her hands shot up, grabbing a hold of Rikku's wrist's to stop her from bringing down the dark blade into Xero that would no undoubtedly been a instant kill had it struck as she planned. "Rikku! Stop! ---This isn't you. Don't get lost in your own darkness.You aren't like this..Come on, let him go....." It was a wonder how they had survived so long without anything like this happened when using the Dark Knight dress sphere. "Just leave, get out of here now! " She tried to say to Xero.
While Rinoa was moving to retrieve the keyblade, Angelo at that moment came to her side, but she wasn't watching her, instead the dog seemed to fix it's eyes on the boy..He would see her bearing teeth, and a low growl coming from Rinoa's dog as she picked the keyblade up carefully..

Xero"I need... to become whole again...""Gah!" Xero's hold on the keyblade wasn't strong enough to keep it from flying from his hands. "Ow! That was rude..." He said, holding his hands close to him, as if they were stinging from the blow. "Yeah, you do that. 'S not like I can't just resummon it to my hands at will." Which he, along with any keyblade wielder, had the power to do.
Then came Rikku's next words, and in his confused state, he had no power to stop himself from being planted onto the ground. "Guh!" He then felt the pressure of her boot on his back. Yeah, he wasn't going anywhere. Not with all the armor she had on. "Urgh..." His mind was beginning to clear the confusion out a little. "You know, just asking nicely might work too..." Sarcastic to the end, wasn't he? He supposed this was fitting enough. He might as well die. If he continued to live, it would only lead to other people's misery. So, he accepted it as inevitable, and prepared for the-
Well, he would have prepared for the end, if there weren't interlopers around. Really? He tried to take her light away and she was trying to save him? "Uh, yeah, I'd love to, princess, but I can't move much right now." He said, referring to the fact that Rikku still had her steel boot on him. "Are you stupid? Like, I'm trying to take your heart, you know. If I were you, I'd just let the girl do what she's doing. I mean, that's the smart thing to do." It was, but that wasn't really how Yuna was.
He then glanced at Angelo, as the dog seemed to be threatening him. Great, he thought. Join the party. "Cute dog," he said, the keyblade vanishing from her hold, though Xero didn't resummon it to his hands yet. "I guess it's fitting that it's going to brand me the enemy. All the other cute things in the room are." He muttered to himself, referring to the three women of course. "What's her name?" He asked Rinoa casually, while he laid there on the ground. Yes, this was the time for casual conversation.(( OOC: ))

Red swirled eyes registered what Yuna was trying to get across to her, "Yunie? We can just have this man keep trying to go after your heart, for crying out loud! But... I... I can't just stand by and let anything happen to you..." For a moment, tears threatened to roll down Rikku's cheek. After averting her eyes to indicate that she wasn't going to attack Xero, Rikku waited until Yuna released her grip on her wrists, so she could sheath Masamune. The Al Bhed thought for a moment, and then bent down to grab Xero by his collar lifting him up to glare at him eye to eye, "And you will stop this 'stealing hearts' bit, or I will pull you into the Abyss myself. Matter of fact, you should work for us now. Considering the planet itself is in danger, we need all the help we can get and we could use your sword skills. Perhaps you might be interested in trying to actually do something and strive for something greater than yourself? The choice is yours."

Xero"I need... to become whole again...""Guh!" After being slammed onto the ground, Xero then found himself lifted right back up moments later. The fact that this thin girl could manhandle him so easily was pretty embarrassing when he thought about it. He felt himself raised to his knees in front of the girl, as she glared into his eyes. It was pretty intimidating, he had to admit. This girl had defeated him with ease twice now. "Y-yes ma'am! Consider me the... former... heart-stealer? ..." He sighed. "Yeah yeah, you win, I'll stop... This is twice you could have killed me, so I guess I should do what you say." He didn't know how to go from here, though. He hadn't wanted to take anyone's hearts in the first place, but he felt like he had to to try to make himself whole again...
But it seemed he would have to live incomplete.
"...I really wouldn't trust me if I were you." He said in response to her insistence that he work for them. "Greater than myself? That sounds like a lot of work..." He said, then considered his options. There wasn't much else he could do right now. Maybe if he worked for them for now, he could find the answers he was looking for? ...It was worth a shot at least. "...But... I mean... it isn't every day I get a request, or order, I guess, from such a cute girl. I mean, a cute girl who's kicked my a** twice now, but a cute girl nonetheless. Maybe your weird swirly eyes are hypnotizing me, but I think I'll accept your offer. I'll work for you, specifically. I don't suppose it's much, but I'll help with this Beast thing." He hadn't heard much about it, but it was very obviously a real threat, so it would be in his best interests to help anyway. "...My name's Xero. With an X. I can't stress this enough, apparently." He once had another name, but he had cast it away when he became incomplete.(( OOC: ))

(Sorry for the massive delay, been catching up on school work that has been piling up on me quick.) While listening to Xero's declaration of personal loyalty, an evil smirk seemed to almost take in her visage -- practically purring, "Following me and me alone, eh? Alright Xero, a deal is a deal. I guess you and I will be.... getting acquainted." Red swirled eyes seemed to look over the keyblade wielder, as the Al Bhed dark knight helped the boy with ash grey hair. Rikku's visage softened slightly after sensing no true deception in the former opponent, "And just so you know... On a mission or anything else, we all go in together, and we leave together. We all have each others' back and don't leave anybody behind. If you get in over your head, I'll come running. Likewise, you do the same, if one of us looks like we're going to get overwhelmed. Anything else, I guess we'll play it by ear, okay?
"We're about to attempt to do an infiltration mission on Shin'Ra, and I'd like you to join us. Since you do have a knack of getting in and out of places quickly, would you like watching over us on our mission? You're very good at what you do, and... I would like certain people checked out to make sure that we're not about to be double crossed. What do you say?"

Xero"I need... to become whole again..."Xero's eyes widened a bit, gulping as if he were afraid. Though, that wasn't new--something told him he would be rather afraid of this girl forever, probably. "...Ah... Could you have made that sound any more suggestive if you tried? ...Not that I mind of course..." She was likely correct, though--they would be around each other now, not as enemies for the first time. And he would be around this Avalanche group too... joy.
After standing, Xero dusted himself off. He still felt the imprint of the Al Bhed's boot on his back. That probably wouldn't go away for a while. "Right..." He rubbed the back of his head. "If you get in trouble, I'll rescue you, basically. Sounds fine to me. And the others here. I'm a pretty heroic guy when I need to be." Some might question his strength since he had been overpowered by the skinny Al Bhed twice now, but that was beside the point. As she explained the mission that was about to happen, and asked for him to join, the keyblade wielder groaned, exasperated. "Ughhhhh... work..." He scratched the side of his head, and after a moment, nodded. "Aye-aye, captain. Your wish is my... chore." He sure seemed like the lazy type, which was a bit surprising considering he had so seriously been working to get the seven hearts, not once but twice. "Just tell me what I need to do when we go and I'll do it." Though his laziness was trumped by his general fear of Rikku, so chances were that if she were to ask or tell him something, he would be pretty obedient. Plus, he did say he would work for her specifically.(( OOC: Don't worry about it. We've all been there, and I'm going to be in that situation very soon I'm sure. ))

Rikku smiled broadly, chuckling lightly, "Alright Xero, we'll be leaving shortly. Are you... hungry? Need a bite to eat before we travel to Midgar? Also, if there's anything you need for this op, let me know." Another thought crossed the Al Bhed dark knight, "Oh... how familiar are you with Midgar's Industrial District? We're supposed to meet a contact there, before us three girl posing at cleaning maids at Shin'Ra."

Xero"I need... to become whole again..."Xero paused a moment, thinking. "I... could eat, I guess. I don't know where on this place to go for that though." He hadn't exactly explored this entire place yet. As she continued to speak, he paused again, shrugging after a moment. "I don't know. I don't know individual districts of that city. I don't go there much. It's dull as all hell." He just found it very lacking in color. And hope. "Maids? That sounds... odd. Why? What exactly are you girls planning to do?"(( OOC: ))

"The operation is that the girls and I are going to infiltrate Shin'Ra to hack into their servers to gather any and all information they have on the Beast. I've rigged up 'maid dresspheres' to access the Shin'Ra network. As the datastreams funnel through the suits, it will be routed to a remote server that I've set up to receive the data," Rikku took a breath before continuing, "We do have to meet with a guy in the Industrial Park for our IDs. That's where you come in. I want you to check this guy out to make sure that he's on the up-and-up and to make sure that this isn't some sort of Shin'Ra trap. There's a man named Flint that we're supposed to meet in the old playground whenever he likes to stargaze. I'll get you a map of where it is in the city. What I need you to do is check up on him and make sure he's not working with the Turks or any other active associate of Shin'Ra." Gently, Rikku patted Xero's shoulder, "Just shadow the guy, and let me know if we're good to go. Alright?"

(At least for certain characters: Yuna, Rinoa, Rikku and Xero, we'll do a slight time skip for us going to Midgar Playground Area to seek out Flint. Of course, Xero is going to shadow Flint just enough to verify if the man is on the level. then Xero will keep tabs on the girls as they infiltrate Shin'Ra. smile Should we go ahead and post there, having it as if we recently got off the train? )
