Fae snickered at Kiro's politness. "Don't worry about it," she motioned with her hand and walked in to pour them a cup of tea.
"Then folloh mi," she sweetly said and led him to her art studio. Once inside, she immediatly went over to a few white curtains and tugged them aside. Natural light flooded the room; it seemed to be in the perfect location where the sun beamed. Shadowy walls were instantly brighter where Pueblo had spalshed different color of paints onto. There were clothing lines with some of her work clothes pinned to them. They hung with sketches and paintings of things she had seen in the forest; birds, flowers, insects. Others had drawings resembling other Aerandir and humans. "Wel-welcome to my studio," she said a little hesitantly. She hadn't ever brought someone else into her place of santuary. It was basically a room into her mind, but she was still proud of it.
After a little while of boring staring at stuff she had already done, she turned to Tsu with a question. "So what do yu do?"

Kiro blushed a little as he noticed Fae snicker. He sometimes forgot that he could be overly polite. Whether it was a blessing or a curse was anybody's best guess though. Instead of contemplating his possible faults, the blonde satisfied himself with watching Fae pour tea. "So, how have things been going for you two?" he asked, looking to make conversation. "I mean, since the whole earthquake incident...?"
Tsu, as he followed Pueblo into her art studio, was nothing short of gobsmacked. He looked around, silent for once in his life as he took it all in. There was a story to be pulled out of everything in this room. Everything had been drawn or painted with some idea in mind. He really wanted to try and express some of it himself, but he realised that might be stepping on someone else's toes. Instead he ran through things in his head, and what the things could possibly mean to her, to himself, and to other people who might see them. He couldn't help but blink as she questioned him, having been lost in his own little world.
"M-me?" he stammered, trying to remember how to converse. "I tell stories. Writin' 'em down or talk people 'bout stuff." He hesitated, before looking back to her artwork. It perhaps wasn't the best in the world, but to Tsu, there was something in majority of them. Something interesting... "Bobo... will you tell me 'bout some of this stuff...?"

Fae flashed a glance out the front windows; she was used to Pueblo going off into the studio room. It was clear to her that Pueblo had a more articulate vision than what herself could invision. Bringing forth the steaming cup of tea, she sat it carefully in front of Kiro upon the coffee table. As she juggled the question in her mind, she sat down near him. "Well, with our own handy work, we managed to fix the place up. And besides that, Pueblo's starting to really open up," she said with a self-satisified smile. There was, however, the slightest bit of doubt in her eyes. "I've been explaining to her the intention of Valentine's Day.. since it is coming up," she added with hesitance. "She woke me up at 6 to ask if she could work on cards!" She added with a lazy yawn and stretched her arms a little. So I apologize for the, eh, order of the house." She briefly looked at the few scattered pencils and paper lying around the house. "So what have Tsukai and yourself been up to?" she quickly asked, hiding her blush of embarrassment.
Pueblo kind of smiled, but she didn't get it; this was all natural to her. With trying to keep up with his stammering, she looked down at the ground. "Well, ih sounds like ud be da the one tha' be best at tellin' stuff, but if ya really want ta know, den okay!" She ran over to one of the drawings hanging up. On it was a nicely drawn hand, very reconisable- color, shapes, detail of the purple freckle, everything. In the palm was a fuzzy aburn and black thing. "One mornin', just a cuple days ago, I woke up with dis tickling sinsashon. I sat up and looked all around, den I find dis lil' bug crawling up my arm. I wasn't evun scared! Cuz it was only a wool-bear caterpilla." Even though her endings wernt that great, she immedately went to the next picture.
It was a heavier construction: shells and sand were glued to the rectangle like some sort of collasue. "I s'ved dees shells and sand cuz when I was a griff, it was my first time to the beach. I don't like it so much cuz sand messes my fur, but I spotted dis moving shell! I went to chase it, and it stopped! Eventu'ly, Fae s'ved it for me and 'splained wot it was. A hermnit crab it was! I think the shell is pretty." The poor little Aerandir seemed out of breath. She never had to tell about her arts before. She paused for a moment to look at Tsukai, wondering what he was thinking.

Kiro couldn't help but chuckle quietly at the thought of explaining Valentine's day to Tsukai. It wasn't a time of year he had really ever celebrated himself, so he hadn't really thought to bring it up. "I bet her cards will be beautiful," he said, taking a sip of the tea she'd given him before continuing. "Who's she planning on giving them to?"
He then hesitated thoughtfully as she asked about Tsu and himself. "Well, we haven't really had a lot of fixing up to do, as such," he admitted. "The Centre was pretty solid. Had a quiet Christmas and such. Tsu's been writing a lot more stuff recently though - he won't let me see it, but I'm hoping he will at some point. I'm kinda curious." A pause as Kiro tried to think of anything else. "Oh yeah, he updated his journal himself the other day - kinda hoping he'll take to that more often. I guess we've not been doing amazingly exciting..."
Meanwhile, Tsukai was listening attentively to what Pueblo was telling him. Caterpillas, and shells... wow! He was right, there was a story in every picture! This was curious, he realised, he'd never seen a story before... The closest he'd ever come was at Ha'o'een, when Iniko had helped him that one time. But the way Pueblo did it... she caught the story before it wiggled away - just like Tsu did when he wrote them down...
"Yu'r drawin' storees..." he said eventually after a lengthy pause. His face held a look of intrigue and excitement. "I've never seed neeone do tha' a'fore... That's so cool..."

Fae crossed her legs; there wasn't much sense if she was uncomfortable. "I really don't know because she wants them to be a surprise," she grinned and finished her own cooled tea. She loved the way scolding hot tea made your tongue tingle on the verge of burning. But now that it was cooler, it tasted more sour. Making a face as she swallowed the last, she sat the saucer down again.
Her eyes momentarily followed Kiro's ear flickering before he had stopped talking. "Oh. Maybe I should give Pueblo a journal...but she might turn it into another sketch book," she lightly chuckled. "But I bet it improves his writing and grammar..." she trailed off and started to think about all the different kinds of electronic spelling dictionaries there were.
"Yu O.K, Tsu?" Pueblo asked after his prolonged silence. She frowned a little, worried at first that he didn't like them. She looked at her pictures and blinked. "Oh.." she quietly murmured, realising now that the silence wasn't distaste. She smiled again, then thought even further. "Tsu? Can I rweed sum of yur stories sumtime?" she asked with a modest voice. Her wings shivered a little, feeling the excited energy coming from Tsu.

"Ah, when I say journal, I mean the thing we keep a record of the Aerandir in? I borrowed yours from you once, you called it a data log, I think? I'm just trying to get Tsu to become responsible for that a little bit at a time, I guess." He paused, having now finished the tea and also setting the cup down in front of him. "They get on really well," he commented idly, referring to the two Aerandir. "It's like they only saw each other yesterday... y'know?" The neko-jin wasn't exactly sure where he was going with that, but it came to mind, and so he said it. Absently, he twirled his tail around one of the legs of the chair he was sitting on.
Tsu hesitated as Pueblo asked if she could read his stories. Only Kiro had ever asked him before, and Tsu'd always said no. However... She had just shown him the things she'd been making...
"Maybee..." he said slowly. "Bu' on'y when I get better... I's not ve'y good at it yet..." He chewed on a lip thoughtfully. He was getting one of those 'I need a pencil and paper right now' urges. But he squished it. He'd save it for when he got home - he wanted to write about a little girl getting shells off the beach. It was all very peculiar...

"Ahh, that old thing," Fae thought back. "Yeah, I'm using it for school too," she commented. She'd never spoken about her life before Cetalu to anyone here much. Her eyes sharply turned towards him. "I mean, I used to attend Durem Institue, and for my final project I got to come here instead on a special grant. It's... kind of complicated," she ended. Looking away again, it was Kiro's random question that reeled her mind. Her eyebrow quarked, but quickly replaced it with a reassuring smile. "Er, yeah, I kind of noticed that too between them. I'm glad that they're spending so much time around each other though. Pueblo needs to stay connected," she smiled wholesomely into the neko-jin's eyes.
Pueblo clapped her hands together. "Yaay! I can't wait to reed 'em. I bet yur great 'neways," she grinned mildly. "An' den when Im reed 'em, I can draw pic'shures of yer stories 'an den they can come to living!" Her eyes suddenly got really big with a great idea. She was always wanting more things to draw. "Bugs n' flowers can get boring sumtimes. Hey! Wanna go back inside? Or do yu want to keep lookin' 'round?" she offered and held her hands behind her back.

Kiro nodded as the girl spoke. "I know how that feels. I remember when my Professor wanted me to come here, I really wasn't too keen." He shrugged. "But you learn to adapt. If I had to go back and choose again, I would've done the same, and more willingly the second time too.
Absently, Kiro disentangled his tail from the chair leg, and wound it around the opposite one instead. This was the first time he'd actually sat down and spoken to Fae in a long time. It was amusing to recall their first meeting, when she'd been convinced Kiro had been 'peeping'.
"I wonder what they're doing anyway..." he murmured idly. "They've been gone a while, huh?"
Tsu, meanwhile, seemed torn. He wanted to stay and look some more. But at the same time, he didn't want too many ideas. If he got too many ideas, none of them turned out very well... "We shud go find Fae 'n' Keeo..." He paused. "But I'd luv you to dr'w pic-chures... that'd be soooo cool!" he enthused happily.

Fae cocked her head a little as she listened to Kiro. She smiled a bit; she wasn't so alone as she thought she was. Her eyes squinted a little as the young woman gave Kiro a perculiar look. "Oh- yeah, I was beginning to wonder too. I really hope she didn't become curious as to what paint looks on other people, heh," she shook back and scratched the back of her head.
Pueblo nodded and begun to walk out. She turned in the doorway and beamed at Tsu, then continued towards the house with him.
"We're back, Fae," Pueblo announced and ran to take a seat between Kiro and her guardian. She looked between the two of them and dangled her feet over the side of the couch.
"Oh there you are, Abby, I was wondering why you two were gone for so long," she mildly said and pulled her into her lap.
Pueblo's vanilla ears tickled with delight. "I's just showing Tsu my arts," she peeped and begun to twiddle with her pig tail.

Tsu, not really bothered about finding a seat, stood beside Kiro and bounced as he was prone to, the little bell again jingling in his hair. "She's soooo good at it Keeo!! Lik' she's tellin' storees wif pic-chures!!"
Kiro grinned a little and patted Tsu's head. "Ahh, so that's where you were? Looking at Bobo's pictures?"
"Uh-huh!! An' she says she's 'onna help me make my storees be better wif her pic-chures!!" he announced enthusiastically. "They'll be way better wif pic-chures!"

Fae giggled as Pueblo bounced on her lap as well.
"'An Tsu is gunna reed stories to me!!" she enthused towards her own guardian.
Fae exagerately gasped for Pueblo's sake and looked in Kiro's and Tsu direction. "That's great, Abby. You and Tsu can become team mates."
She looked stumped. "Wot's a 'team-mate'?"
"Someone who works with another person. That way, more can be done with two people instead of one," she explained.
"Ohhh... well, Tsu 'an I can be BEST-team-mates den!" she jived and smiled at Tsu.

Kiro smiled as he listened to Pueblo enthuse to her guardian. Seemed like team-work was the best word for what was going to come out this. He'd never thought how well an artist and a storyteller could get on, but when you thought about it - it kind of made sense.
Standing, Kiro nodded politely to Fae. "We should probably get going," he said. "We've been bothering you for far too long as it is. But you two are welcome to drop by any time you want to, okay?" He smiled at first Fae, then Pueblo, before reaching for Tsu's hand. "Come on Trouble. Let's get going, huh?"

As Pueblo watched the human boy stand, her heart leapt and she dived off her guardian's lap. Rushing over, she gave Tsu a big hug. "I'm glad yu came over today," she said and let go to give him room again. She wasn't going to miss him because they were just invited to come over any time. She intended to use and abuse this invitation. "Byeee Mr. Kiro! Thanks fer stopping by."
Fae also stood, noticing how his tail uncurled from around the chair leg. She grinned under her breath, amused. Oh, hah, face! She pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose and walked them to the door. "Thanks for dropping by. It was nice catching up," she nodded wistfully and clung to the door knob.

Tsu blinked as Pueblo rushed over to give him a hug. Yay!! Hugs and smiley things were GOOD!! "Me too!" he announced happily. And it was true. She had this... way of understanding that Kiro hadn't quite grasped. And while he loved his guardian, it was great to get together with people on your own wavelength. "Come over soon 'kay?"
Kiro smiled as Fae thanked him. "And thanks for not minding that we barged over at some ungodly time in the morning. I'll try and make it a slightly later visit next time."
Having said that, the neko-jin took his lead, his energetic charge following after him with more farewell waves for Pueblo.

Foenix walked slowly through the Cetalu community. It really was a pretty day, and the sunlight felt quite good on the back of her neck. She'd definitely been spending too much time indoors with her work.
Nehanda ran on ahead. She stretched out her wings and fluttered them to resettle them around the pack she had on her back. She hopped a bit and flapped those great, snowy wings a few times. Wouldn't it be fun to actually fly? But Foenix wouldn't let her try yet. She veered off the path to pluck up a bright orange blossom just coming into full bloom. "Here, Foenix!"
"Thanks, sweetie! It's really pretty." Foenix stroked the soft petals against her cheek and looked around. The community sure was quiet this afternoon.
