Mai's harsh look didn't change until the trainers had disappeared from sight, and she let out a slight "Oof!" as Robin threw her arms around her. "Yes, yes, you're welcome, get off me," she said, her voice calm. "You're lucky I was here to back you up, otherwise things might have gotten ugly." She studied the two Pokemon at Robin's side. A Yanma and a Jumpluff, and then there's that Ambipom and Totodile of hers. We should keep an eye on her, she could become trouble in the future, especially if she keeps palling around with the likes of Kilik and Kasiya... She brushed the wrinkles out of her skirt and blazer and looked at the redheaded girl with a serious expression. "Even still, it was very irresponsible of you to allow your Pokemon to run amok like that. I suggest in the future you try a little harder to keep them out of trouble. Next time, things might not go as smoothly." Her tone wasn't a scolding one, and she wore a small half-smile. "Now," she went on, taking out her notepad and a pen, "I'm interviewing as many trainers as I can for a special story. How about you tell me of your plans for Sinnoh? I'm sure a vibrant and energetic young woman such as yourself is full of adventure."
=-=-=-=-= "Mamoswine, the Twin Tusk Pokemon," the PokeDex stated. "Its impressive tusks are made of ice. Mamoswine's population flourished during the ice age, but as the climate began to warm their numbers dwindled. One was dug up from frozen soil dating back over 10,000 years. Mamoswine have been around for a long, long time."
Jaeshan let out a low whistle and closed the device. "Ten thousand years," he said, putting the PokeDex back in his bag. "That's incredible!"
"It sure is!" Eliza beamed, now hugging her giant Pokemon. "I didn't know you had it in you!" Mamoswine bellowed happily and nudged his trainer, though he had yet to realize his new strength and nearly knocked her over. "So, should we continue our battle?" Eliza asked, her hand resting on Mamoswine's forehead.
Jaeshan looked around for Shelgon, who'd remained back on Jaeshan's side of the field. He wasn't sure, but the dragon didn't look very happy. In fact, if he had to guess, he'd probably say that Shelgon looked... jealous? Her eyes were narrowed and Jaeshan had never really seen her like that before. "Shelgon?" he asked, walking towards her. "What's wrong, girl?" She huffed slightly and trotted forward, once again taking up a battle stance. Without waiting for an order she did another Dragon Dance, the indigo aura once again enveloping her body. "I guess she still wants to fight," Jaeshan said with a chuckle.
"Great, I wanna see what kind of tough stuff this guy is made of! Mamoswine, give them a Take Down attack!" The Twin Tusk Pokemon let out a tremendous bellow and charged forward, the ground trembling with every step he took. He was faster now, but Shelgon was faster (but only because of her three previous Dragon Dances) and managed to hop out of the way, feeling a rush of frigid air blow past her. It seemed that Mamoswine's tusks really were made of solid, frozen ice.

"Perfect, now you're chance Rhyhorn! While Raticate's trapped crush it with a Stomp!" Rhyhorn let out a big mighty roar as he bounded towards the tomb he'd created for the opponent. He could feel the trembling pokemon inside, could himself pulverizing the rocks and the pokemon inside. Raticate was going down for sure! The spikes pokemon may not have been bright, but he was strong and breaking things was all he really needed to know how to do. Charging up to the Rock Tomb he rose up on his hind legs and dropped down on the structure like a ton of bricks, literally. They were crushed the gravel under Rhyhorns weight and strength, and hopefully so was Raticate.

Listening to the other trainer a serious look on Robins face she nodded in agreement. "Well I am usually with Luffy. Still things worked in the end like I said they would." The smile was back as she gazed at the other woman. "Still your right Luffy is a handful and I should keep an eye on him all the time." At Robin's side her two pokemon shrank down, yeah Robin didn't blame them for getting her into trouble but they still felt bad.
"Plans for Sinnoh?" Hmm, truth be told Robin didn't really have any plans for Sinnoh. She just got on the boat because there were plenty of adventures and Ampersand said he would meet her over there in his little note. Thinking about it some more her face furrowed in concentration. "Hm, nope! I don't really have any plans. Well I am meeting my friend over there, he's really cool! Other then that though I am sure lots of adventure will find us! I don't usually make plans, if you are making plans then all the fun things you could be doing are just flying right by you!" She explained her huge smile was back as she gazed up at Mai.
"Sorry if I am not much help for your story, I might be doing something with Ampersand I can give him a call or something if you like? On no... wait he said he was working on business or something. Hmm, well I guess I will be working on getting Luffy not so fat. Oh and I need Black*Star to get better to, he got really hurt in his last battle, that's where I was last night!" She paused for just a second before something else seemed to hit her. "Oh! I gotta help all my pokemon accomplish their dreams to! That's the reason they are traveling with me, that and we have so many fun adventures along the way! Hmm, maybe I do have a lot of things to do in Sinnoh!" Laughing easily Robin glanced down at Brook and Raz before looking back up at the pretty reporter lady again.

Katie still carried the bright orange disc with her as she made her way north towards route 204, the place where she'd captured Noa. It didn't take her very long to reach the exact spot, as she remembered well the large rock the then Starly had been perched on, quietly minding her own business until she had up and attacked Genki for no apparent reason. 'I guess some Pokemon don't like others on principle,' she thought, shaking her head and smiling as she thought of the strong rivalry her two Pokemon shared. 'I do hope they eventually grow out of it though, I don't think I can take the two of them constantly trying to kill each other.'
She took Genki's pokeball from her belt and looked at it, wondering if she should release the other three. "No, they might be jealous of Genki getting a tm, Noa especially, even though she got one just this morning..." she sighed and released the Monferno once again, who appeared in a flash of light hopping up and down and clapping, in a cheerful mood as usual. "I've got something for you, Genki," she said, sitting down on the nearby rock. She held up the shiny disc for him to see. "Come over here."
The monkey eagerly bounded over to his trainer's side and sat down beside her, looking at the disc with interest. Though he didn't know why, there was something familiar about it. "Ready?" Katie asked. Genki nodded, and Katie held the disc out for him. Cautiously, the Monferno touched it with the tips of his fingers and then laid his whole hand on top of it, closing his eyes as a fiery warmth swept through him. When it was over he felt stronger, as though a whole new fire had been lit inside him. He jumped up and punched the air excitedly. He'd never felt this fired up before, and he really wanted to fight something. Grinning, he turned to Katie and let out a cheer, hoping she'd let that annoying Staravia out of her ball so he could use her for target practice.
"So you like it, then?" Katie asked, looking down at the disc as it had turned to a dirty grey and crumbled into nothing. Genki nodded and ran over to her and jumped up on her lap. He threw his arms around her and hugged her happily. "I'll take that as a yes, then," Katie laughed, hugging her Pokemon fondly in return.

Nero, upon hearing the remark of the shady man, watched him walk out of the Pokémon Center... Was that what he thought...? Were there Rockets here in Sinnoh, as well? He'd have to check into that, later..
Nero walked up to the counter, and placed his PokéBall in its holster, and walked outside, still thinking of the man in the wrinkled, dingy suit.. Who was Giovanni... What was "THAT", and what sort of project was he talking about?
Nero pulled his CellPhone out, and called Katie, even though it was late-ish. He hoped she'd pick up. Maybe SHE would know if there were a Team Rocket cell here in Sinnoh.
'Great... Looks like I'll find HIM sooner than I thought... Not that that's a good thing...'

"Slack off?" Riza asked, taking a step forward as Slowbro gave a great yawn. Her question would be soon answered as some of his energy was restored, and the pink Pokemon grinned impishly in reply. "Dammit," Riza muttered, kicking the ground a little. Yula's attacks might have been very effective against Slowbro, but the fact that he was so much more experienced effectively canceled that out. It meant that unless Slowbro was unable to move turn after turn from his paralysis, there was no way they'd be able to defeat him. Riza sighed and looked away from the battle, tears of frustration welling up in her eyes. Yula, sensing the dramatic shift in her trainer's emotions made her way over to Riza's side, and tugged at the hem of her skirt, worried.
Jaden didn't need to be a psychic-type Pokemon in order to sense Riza's attitude shift. His spoiled younger sister often looked like that when things weren't going her way, and he sighed, and closed his eyes. 'I guess some things never change,' he thought. Slowbro, still paralyzed inched his way back towards his own trainer. Despite being constantly smacked around by the Kirlia, he was enjoying the workout. "Riza?" Jaden asked, taking a step forward. "Everything all right?"
"Yes, everything is fine," Riza said flatly, without looking at her brother. She blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall and took a deep breath. "I don't want to do this anymore." She recalled Yula into her pokeball without even looking at her and turned to make her way back to the pokecenter, which was still a short distance away. She could hear Jaden calling after her name but she ignored him until she got to the building and went inside. She wordlessly walked up to the counter and gave three of her pokeballs to the nurse for treatment before going back over to the nearest couch. She tossed her bag onto the adjacent seat and flopped down to wait the return of her pokemon. * * * * * For a little while, Katie and Genki were both content to just sit there on the rock and enjoy the scenery, and the warm sunshine beaming down on them. That is, until the sun dipped down behind a cloud, and only then did Katie realize it was nearly sundown. It was a relatively long walk back to Jubilife from where she was on route 207, but it was even longer if she intended to continue on to Floaroma town, like she'd initially intended. "Oh well, I guess we're roughing it tonight," she said, surveying the area once more. It looked as though it had been used as a campsite before. With Genki's help, it took no time at all to get everything set up, as the last thing they were did was gather some firewood. She had let out her other three Pokemon to help as well, even though she did have to break up the occasional bickering between Genki and Noa.
Katie was in the process of getting together dinner for herself and her Pokemon when she heard her phone ringing. She stet down the can of food she'd been opening and pulled it out of her bag, the back light of the screen lighting up the area, for she had yet to get Genki to light the campfire. "Nero?" she questioned, smiling a bit. "Can't say I was expecting him to call so soon, though. Hello?" she asked, once she'd hit the flashing button on her phone. "Nero, is that you? What's up?" she asked, not wasting any time.

Nero paused, just for a moment, to figure out what to say... 'Hello person I met just a few hours ago, do you know anything about a seedy underground criminal organization? ... yeah, that'll work. Seriously, why did I even call her..? I don't even know her background. Or if she'd know anything about the Illegal Pokémon Trade Ring...' Nero shook his head, and cleared his throat.
"Hey.. Yeah, it's me. Sorry to call you, but... I have a question, and it's going to sound odd..." Nero said, and paused again to figure out how to proceed. He needed her to tell the truth, not hang up the phone because of some stalker-esque vibe. "Hmm... Do you know anything about Team Rocket...?" part of him hoped she did, yet another part hoped she didn't. No one should know the things he did.

Katie raised an eyebrow when there was no immediate answer, and she twirled the end of one of her long ponytails in the fingers of her free hand, slowly counting to ten in her head in preparation to just hang up on him. He spoke up around eight, much to Katie's surprise. She had fully been expecting him to ask a Pokemon-related question, as that's why she'd offered to give him her number, so it was her turn to pause silently when Nero proceeded to ask her about Team Rocket.
She was hesitant to answer, and admittedly a little suspicious as well. "Uh, well..." she mumbled, thinking over her answer carefully. Of course she knew who Team Rocket was. Any informed person would know who they were, if only by their heinous reputation alone. "Yes, I know who they are," she answered finally, remembering things she'd heard on the news a few days ago. "They recently attacked some place in the Hoenn Region called Slateport, messed up a speech that was to be given by Professor Rowan. Just why would you be interested in them?" She sighed lightly, and looked over towards her Pokemon as she awaited Nero's response.
Genki had now lit the campfire, and Noa had nestled down in a cluster of nearby grass and was dozing off. Seraphim was looking sleepy too, but Katie figured that was due to the sun having finally set. The Monferno and Elekid were apparently sparring together, or at the very least Genki was showing the younger Pokemon how to throw punches. Kord seemed to be delighted about being taught by his older teammate and was trying his best to impress Genki as his fists relentlessly attacked the empty air around him.

Nero though for a second... "Well... When I was in the Pokemon Center, there was a strange man on the phone with someone. He said something about a project, and then looked at me and left in a hurry. I'm not sure if it's Team Rocket, but.. I'd heard there was an organization similar to them in this region... I'm not too sure... maybe I'm over thinking things." Nero exhaled, and exited the city, walking northbound... "I'm headed north of Jubilife, probably gonna train Clooney for a few hours..." Nero looked down to his Pokemon, who for once wasn't angry or causing trouble. "Man..." he said, exhaustedly...

Katie mulled over the explanation in her mind a bit. She could easily see how something like that could seem suspicious, and she wouldn't be surprised if those shady guys were up to no good, but then again there was a chance that Nero could be reading too much into it. She had no idea if Team Rocket had extended their reach to Sinnoh yet or if perhaps there was another organization like them. "That's where I am now, north of Jubilife," she said idly, watching her Pokemon. "It's starting to get dark, so be careful," she said, looking up at the horizon which was aglow with beautiful shades of oranges, reds and purples. "You never know what could be lurking out there in the dark."

"Yeah.... Thanks. Talk to you later. Next time you see me, Clooney and I will be ready for even the likes of you!" Nero said, enthusiastically. He clicked the phone off and continued through to a beaten path, a rocky, gravelly trail lined with hip-deep grassy patches in certain areas.
Particular patches seemed to be alive... a bright glossy eye or two peeking at him through the branches of a tree... The quick movement of a shadowy figure from bush to grassy bush... A sharp, ear-drum busting ''screeeee'' elicited off in the distance...
As Nero travelled through the dense forested area, he kept his eyes open for pokémon he could battle and capture...
Stepping into the nearby field, he noticed a Starly, atop a tree and picked up a small pebble, tossing it at it's wings..

Not even thirty seconds had passed before Riza had stood up and was heading out the door again, unable to sit still. She knew her Pokemon would be safe here until she got back, and she still had Akima with her, so she had nothing to worry about. She also knew that Jaden would know something was up, and Crenu probably would as well, but she didn't care. Right now she just needed to be alone, and she was sure that her brother would understand, at the very least.
She headed out of the center and in a random direction, making sure it was away from where they had previously been having their training matches. Her long legs carried her out of the city limits quite quickly, and before she knew it she found herself heading towards route 11. She passed by the entrance to a cavern, noting that it was called Digwell's Cave or something (she didn't bother to get a good look at the sign) and kept going, her sights set on the horizon ahead of her. She didn't plan to go too far, just far enough for her to calm down, and then she would head back. It wasn't too long before she came upon a large, open grassy area, and though she could see some trainers in the distance, there were none in the area around her. 'Good,' she thought, sighing heavily. She didn't feel like talking to others right now, or getting into a battle, which would be inevitable with the trainers around.
Jaden had watched his sister walk away without a word, and when she was out of sight he sighed and shook his head. Slowbro remained loyally at his side, only really cluing in now that the practice battle was over. The older sibling decided to watch the remainder of the match between Ken and Crenu, knowing it would be interesting, at the very least. 'I just hope Riza's all right,' he thought, a little worried. * * * * * "I look forward to it," Katie said with a grin, clicking off her own phone. She still wasn't quite sure what that phone call had been all about, but she hoped she had at least been able to help Nero with his inquiry. She finished rationing out dinner for herself and her Pokemon and then the five of them sat down to eat. She was sure to make sure that Genki and Noa were quite a ways from each other, though again she noticed that they seemed to hold back from fighting with each other when the young Elekid was around. 'I guess that's a good thing,' she thought, nibbling on a granola bar. Her mother had made sure she'd packed a lot of high-energy foods before she left, as she wouldn't always be able to spend the night in the city.
Dinner was finished without incident and after cleanup Katie spread out her sleeping bag and changed into her pajamas. Her Pokemon were already getting themselves comfortable for the night, and she laughed when she saw Kord had already taken up residence inside her sleeping bag. She snuggled in with him, and the two of them looked up at the starry sky overhead. It was quiet and peaceful out here, not like the busy, bright Jubilife she called home. Katie would be the first to admit that she was a city girl and would always want to live in a big city, and to her it made it that much more special when she spent time outdoors.
"I guess we should get some sleep," she said after a while of stargazing, though she soon learned that she was the only one left awake. She chuckled and got comfortable, knowing that tomorrow would be a big day of traveling. 'I hope we can get to Floaroma Town without much trouble,' she thought as she drifted off to sleep.

The night had flown by and Dante was feeling pretty good, ok they had him feeling pretty good mentally his body was protesting staying in the same position for so long. Getting up was a painful experience to say the least. Standing up Dante felt his bones creak, placing his hands on the small of his back he tried to stretch and was greeted with a loud series of snaps and pops that really did not sound good. Urg he was seventeen years old and his body seemed to be like an old mans!
On the floor Hera was watching her trainer with amused black eyes. Her trainer really had no physical strength at all, he was smart but his muscles were puny. The powerful yet young bug pokemon briefly thought about putting her trainer on a work out routine in order to toughen him up. Her trainer seemed to catch pokemon to make things easier for him because he couldn't do a lot of the physical things. Yeah that sounded like a good idea she couldn't have a puny trainer what would people think of her? Besides he expected them to train while he just sat around?
Feeling a bit less cramped Dante glanced down at Hera who was watching him and eyed her suspiciously for a second before looking away. For some reason he had an uneasy feeling about whatever Hera was thinking. Deciding to ignore it for now Dante felt the abrupt need to get clean, he hadn't exactly had a shower since the other day and he felt really dirty. "Urg, shower time Hera." He muttered waving at her before stepping into the tiny little bathroom that was in the tiny little room they had spent the night in. Yawning Dante quickly stripped out of his loose jacket and the thin white shirt under it. Glancing over at the mirror Dante stared at his reflection for a long moment. He had changed a lot in the past few weeks, his dark eyes stayed on the large white bandage on his back for a second before he shrugged out of his pants and stepped into the shower.
The shower didn't last to long seeing as Dante didn't really want to spend to much time in there. While he was in there though he missed the announcement about the lack of food. Checking the bandage one more time to make sure it was still taped on he changed back into his clothing making a mental note to visit a laundry room soon. Stepping out of the tiny bathroom Dante placed his hands in his pockets and stared down at Hera. "Let's go see if we landed yet." Maybe they would grab an apple or something to eat to.

Good lord, this girl talks a lot, Mai thought as she jotted down a few notes, her attention mostly focused on wasting time. For a moment, Mai considered just turning and walking away, as she was sure Robin wouldn't have noticed as she chatted away, but when the girl mentioned the name Ampersand, she had the Rocket's undivided attention. Surely the girl spoke of the strange man who'd approached the Rocket HQ in Viridian City a little while ago, as she highly doubted that a name such as that one would be overly common. "Ampersand," she repeated, tapping her pen against her clipboard. "That's a unique name. He's a friend of yours? Why don't you tell me more about him?" She began to write down the small tidbits of information she already knew as she waited for the girl to respond, hoping she'd get right to the point. She didn't want to stand here all day listening to her ramble on and on.
=-=-=-=-= Okay, we've got to avoid those frozen tusks, Jaeshan thought, knowing that ice was the real problem for Shelgon. And the best way to combat ice is with fire... but would Shelgon's Ember be enough? He looked towards his Pokemon. "Okay Shelgon, try your Ember attack," he said, giving a nod. "And make it a good one!" The dragon Pokemon gave a little grunt and quickly spewed out a small burst of flames at the Mamoswine.
It wasn't very damaging despite being a direct hit, and Mamoswine's large snout twitched as he brushed off the puny Fire-type attack. "It's going to take more than that to bring him down! Mamoswine, use Ancientpower!" Eliza called, pumping her fist into the air. The massive Pokemon bellowed loudly and slammed his powerful forelegs down onto the ground with tremendous force, sending up a barrage of glowing rocks that quickly came crashing down towards Shelgon.
((Okay it's not my best... but it took three days to write. xD ))

Like Mai was worried Robin would just keep going on and on but unlucky for her Robin would have probably noticed her wondering off and followed her like a bad cold. Always happy to talk about things she liked even if she should probably shut up about them. "Yeah! Ampersand is a friend of mine. We traveled around together when Luffy decided he liked his hat, he got called away for business though. He said he was cleaning something for the police or something? I dunno its all in this note." Robin rambled on excitedly. Not even suspecting that the pretty reporter was just using her for information.
Digging into her bag always happy to help she pulled out the note that Masamori had given her earlier. Pulling it out with a flourish Robin held the note up and folding it open she read the letter quickly again just to make sure. "Yeah he said he is cleaning out some thing for the police and he should meet up with him in some place called Jubilife? I dunno where that is but I am gunna head over there when we land." Grinning she folded the letter up again and grinned at the pretty reporter. "If you like you could come with me and see him?"
~~~~~~~
Much to Dante and Hera's dismay it seemed that there was no food on board the ship. Some girls Ambipom and a Snorlax had eaten it all earlier. Frowning somewhat Dante thought of the only person he knew who had an Ambipom and who was on the ship at the moment. Robin Knight, he knew he didn't like her that much when he first met her. Looking over he spotted her with a tall blond woman who also seemed to think that the girl was much to happy.
'I like her.'
'Yes I enjoy the girls spirit.'
Deciding to ignore the voices in his head for the moment so he didn't have to wonder why they liked the stupid girl Dante headed out to the outside of the ship Hera trotting behind him. "We are picking up out Turtwig egg when we land Hera. My mom somehow managed to coerce the man into delivering it for us." He said mostly to himself.
