Shilo licked his face before shifting back, looking down at the water and just wanted to get in. She loved the water, it was cool and refreshing.

"Very good. Now." He sat back in the water a little bit as he held her up, but moved so the water went to her chin. "Try to keep your head above the water. I'm gonna keep holding you but I need you to move onto your stomach and start kicking your legs." To help her a little he put one hand on her stomach, holding her horizontally.

Shilo did as she was instructed to do, her wolf side also taking over and using her hands to stablize herself as she went. She almost went under a few times, and would have a lot more if her dad wasn't there.

Keeping his hand underneath her he watched her kick and paddle, proud of her that she was figuring it out. "Alright, now we're going to see what you can do just kicking." Taking her hands in his he pulled her forward slowly, walking backwards. "Ok Shilo, kick."

Shilo started to kick, her body raising just slightly at the momentom she was throwing out with just her legs.

"Good job, Baby." Now it was time to advance a little more. "Ok, this time, I'm going to keep my arms there, but you have to use your arms as well when you kick. Try and come to me." After a moment he let go of her arms one at a time, keeping his outstretched and close by so she could come to him.

Shilo bobbed there for a moment before doing what she was told to do. She started to kick her legs and use her arms, going to him in a doggy paddle.

He smiled. She could swim now. When she was older and bigger they would get to underwater. After a few minutes he stopped moving back and let her paddle into his arms, picking her up and kissing her gently. "Congratulations Shilo. You can swim now."

Shilo waved her arms around and laughed happily, hugging him as tightly as she could with her little arms around his neck.

Laughing at the hug and the excitement he hugged her back, seeing that it was about one now. They had been out for a good four or five hours already. "Now we better get back Shilo. I'll let you run or walk the whole time this time but trust me. You'll be ready for a nap by the time we get home." Walking back to shore he set her down as he pulled his shirt on, shifting to his wolf form.

Shilo shifted and took off fast, remembering the way back home. "I bet I could beat you home." She dodged trees and branches low enough to hit her, seeing how long she could stay in front.

He grinned at that. 'So that's how it is.' Even with the head start, she seemed to forget he was bigger than her, with longer legs. Not hesitating a moment more he took off after her, within minutes he was next to her. One more small push and he was ahead of her by a few feet, and still moving faster.

Shilo let out all her energy and that made her go faster. She was almost caught up with him when a root caught her foot and made her fall, twisting it badly. "Daddy!!" She shifted back and started to cry, her left arm already getting a nice bruise on it. It wasn't broken or fractured, it had just turned so bad that it felt like it to her. the bruising was from her hitting the root so hard.

Nik froze immediately when he heard her voice in his head, turning in time to see her fall. Damnnit. Feeling bad now he ran back to her, stopping next to her and sniffing her arm. It was going to be bruised for awhile, and it was going to hurt at least for the day. 'Come on baby, almost home.' Lifting her by the back of her dress he set her on his back, making sure she was on fine before walking back towards the house, grabbing her again before shifting back at the back door. "Let's go get some ice on that." Holding her close he unlocked the door, going to the kitchen and setting her on the counter before getting a cloth with ice in it and setting it gently against her bruise.

Shilo continued to cry but quieted down when they got home, not wanting to alarm her mom. She sat up fine on the counter and just kept looking at the bruise. She winced and wanted to cry harder when he put the ice on it but the ice was numbing the pain a little so she didn't
Moya came down the a smile and walked up to be beside Nik. She looked down at Shilo's arm and her smile was gone and worry was soon in her features. "What happened?"
