Jade walked thru the brushwith, whacking at shruberies that got in her way. She had made quite a bit of distance from Minas Tirith. She had lost her steed several weeks ago when she was forced to trade it for rations of food. which in turn was mostly spoiled. This was Jade's third day in the woods and was starting to get ancey. It was when she was about to change direction and head back towards where she thought she came from she saw the man in bloody bandages and the the other figure huddled in a ball.

"They never do," Ranu replied, standing up to creep closer. At the top, he knelt, "Those aren't orc's. To big. To powerful looking." He glanced at his companion a moment, "I'm still not to certain, but a party of mainly elves were telling me of a wizard type of person, who's symbol was a while hand. Isn't that one on their shield?"

Elrothiel's head snapped up and she tiredly eyed the stranger. She was human and Elrothiel stood up, warily feeling for a weapon. "Greetings." She said formally.

She squinted at a shield. "Yes...I see it...."

Jade gave a slight bow of her head and cast a cautious glance towrds the man in bandages. The elf woman appeared to have either put him in the state he was in or was trying to help him, either way Jade didn't want to interfeir with somehting that might get her in trouble. But she couldnt leave someone with wounds like that, when she could help. 'Is he going to be alright?' Jade asked. She figured it was an innocent enough question, so the elf wouldnt get mad if it was indeed her who had made him like that, even though it didn't make sense to nearly kill him then bandage him.

Elrothiel lowered her weapon, glancing aside at Van. The anxiety in her voice was evident when she spoke at last. "I don't know. I've closed all of the gaping wounds and I can't do any more. Whether it's enough..." She trailed off, unwilling to think about the possible consequences for Van if it wasn't.

Ranu's head swam, there was about 25 of them, maybe 30. They were probably an advance guard. Behind them would be the Trolls, and the Goblins, and Half Goblins. He drew his sword without thinking, its blue glow a welcome sight after seeing so little light in this forest. He glanced at his companian and drew in a breath, "This is only the advance guard of their army. It looks like the main army just advanced down owards Gondor, then got ordered back, by their expressions. But by the grumbling, I can hear that they're heading to Rohan." He said it in a explaining way, but it Didn't say why his sword was out, "That said, it means it heads towards my formour companians, people wo saved my life. Whom I'm respect. I have no way to warn them, I can, however, slow these guys down, since the main army will use the fights as an excuse to rest. Thats the thing about Orc's. They're arrogant." he glanced at the 25ish orc's. "It looks like more, but its the dust" he said softly, then nodded his head. "You keep going, if you wish, but I think I'm going to warm up. Standing, Ranu sank his blade tip into the ground, drew and strung his bow, and fitted an arrow. "I'll give you till 10 to decide."

((To try and jump in again...))

Nessa returned with a good ammount of firewood, but not enough for the night. Tyson would probably have to go back out for more later. She noticed their two tents were pitched and a circle of rocks had been formed as the outline for the fire. She put the logs and twigs down off to the side, noticing Tyson opening an eye as he lay on the ground, hands behind his head.

"Looks like a good batch. Did you encounter anything?" he asked as he got out of his position and started to line the logs and twigs up to light.

"There are going to be things out there, Tyson, but I did not personally see anything," Nessa explained as she left her companion to create the fire while she pulled a piece of bread from her bag, nibbling on it to satisfy her stomach enough and washing it down with some water.

She stared at him in amazment. "I'll stay a bit, but not too long. I'd like to go warn them in Rohan. I'm a speed flyer," She noched an arrow.

[Tee hee. Naked whee

Ranu glanced at her, then loosed his arrow down at a Uruk Hai, which roared in pain as the arrow pierced its throat. "Go after that arrow. Warn who you can. If I'm not here, I continued on to Gondor. Keep an eye out for my horse too, please. Its got my armour."

She nodded, shot her arrow, then sprouted jet black raven wings. Amara flew high to Rohan, out of arrow range. She went a far way, before noticing a camp fire.

Tyson got the fire going, it's flames soon whipping and hissing in the growing darkness of the night. Hopefully the flames would scare away anything that dare thought of attacking. A slight grin passed on his lips, pleased with the accomplishments of the day. Two more days' ride, more likely less, and they'd arive in Gondor. Hopefully, for whatever the call, it would not be too late. That question lingered in Tyson's mind again, but he shook his head and lay down on his horse's saddle blanket listening to the crickets and gazing at the sky as stars peeked their brightness, greeting Nessa and he.

Nessa closed her eyes, lying close by to the fire on her side, her sword sheathed by her side. She wasn't very tired, but the best thing to do was to get a night's sleep.

Jade nodded. It turned out the elf did want him to live. Jade didn't like preforming healing on people, but she knew she wouldnt be able to just let a person die. Jade looked up at the elf, 'I can help him, but I need water.' she said.

Elrothiel nodded. "I have half a water bottle but I can find more." She put the half-full one next to Van and took out an empty one. She wasn't happy about leaving him alone but if the woman didn't help him he was dead anyway. His deepest wounds may have been healed but he was still losing blood too quickly from all the bites and gashes. She listened carefully for the tricking of a stream before deciding to head to her right, the opposite way to the one they had come from. "Thank you." She said softly to the woman as she passed her.

Horns blazed among the orc as a third arrow raced into one [the second being owl's]. Another Orc dropped, the rest spun to face the hill, raising shields to defend themselves, another raced down at a leg, pushing the Uruk Hai back, while a second tore down into his helmet. The rest let out a roar, and two surged up. Dropping the bow and arrows, Ranu drew his sword from the ground, mud removing the shine. His eyes lay on the two Uruk Hai, who were running whiel their shields moved to keep themselves entirely covered. They were also blinded too, so as one reached the top, Ranu run at the creature of darkness, Knocking it back down the hill, then swung at the second one, yelling at it in fear and anger. The Uruk Hai's sword locked with Ranu's with a clang, while the shield fell to the ground.
