As Penny hung on, she lightly cringed at the loud feedback from the megaphone and announcement before Jen rode off on her arcanine to Luna and Prince. "Wow..." Such a majestic creature, she thought. "Geh, making camp, already? I guess everyone needs a rest." Nearly all of the trainers were tired now, quite a few of them having fallen asleep right in the wagons.
Feeling herself being pulled up, Penny quickly went aboard the wagon, glad she was able to get a rest herself. "Hff! Thanks for that - ah, fluo, was it?" Dusting herself down, she shifted her mining gear and backpack into a safe corner, watching a large darkrai and a shaymin sleep.

[Ahh, but I'm just asking about the camping spot. D: Or there some physical conflict with not being able to do that either?]

Alastair frowned at Jen’s words, unsure of whether or not he trusted this ‘ohmygawsh, side route!’ stuff from her. Honestly, no matter what she said, he’d feel fairly suspicious of it. Well, everyone else was going. He didn’t want to get left behind, so he idly followed the same wagon as Con, just to keep an eye on the houndoom. Lum followed happily, trusting that, eventually, she would get food out of someone here.
You better be better prey next time. Or else I won’t ever hunt you again., the houndoom said in mock seriousness.
Recognizing that his friend was about to see through his eyes, Con turned his gaze towards the wagon’s insides, just so Ryou could see exactly what he meant. He paid the arcanine only a small bit of attention, giving it only a vague nod in greeting. Yes, walking is much better. But even I had to ride in the wagons when those damned birds attacked. You’d think that with all these trainers things would be safer… when the wagons started to move and Ryou jumped down, Con pushed himself away from the wagon so he could trot by his friend. Of course, the pale houndoom couldn’t walk for long periods of time either, but Ryou already knew about his creaky joints.
You’re not the only one going soft. I’ve even been playing fetch on occasion. Can you imagine that? Fetch? How long has it been since either of us has done anything like that. Ha! Once or twice, Con had even been caught playing like a puppy with Kabuki.

Renekai was a little worried. Side routes were not always to be trusted... But hey, Renekai didn't mind a longer journey... More chances to catch a pokemon, right? Bell was still in her pokeball, probably sleeping. Renekai almost felt like sleeping as well, but she was too excited. "I hope we aren't attacked again... But I also hope that we get more chances to catch wild pokemon," Renekai spoke aloud, to no one in particular. "What an exciting day! And this is just day one."

"(Oooh, I'm so scared,)" he snickered, trotting alongside the houndoom. He recalled the stupid birds that had insisted on attacking the wagon and its supplies, and flicked his tail. "(I was riding on Basil, taking a little nap. I don't think I'd like to ride in the wagons, they seem much too... uncomfortable.)" Bumpy, jolting a lot, pulled by tauros that couldn't decide if they were going too fast or too slow because of Jen and Luna. "(I suppose not. We were none too kind to them when they showed up in our territory. Remember? I assume the same idea holds true here, as well.)" He vaguely wondered if Con knew their end destination, but decided it would be a bad idea to bring it up. He held only a bit of apprehension at the idea of returning to mines, but he knew no one would make him work like the slave-driver humans at Inhinx.
He couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of Con playing fetch again after so long. "(Fetch, really? Next you'll be rolling over, playing dead, sitting up, and doing all sorts of odd things just to get food.)" Honestly. Basil would do that, but the dark-type wouldn't be caught dead doing anything of the sort.

Mythee "Nice to meet you, Hayne! Haha, I'm flattered, although Aimi is definitely the nicer of us two." She grinned. "Are you a trainer, as well?" Lamen held out a hand to shake with him. "Huh, I only saw you just now." She answered Aimi, glad to have met the magenta-eyed watcher again. "You really surprised me by being here... so, I take it you're pretty used to traveling on your own now? And say, is the food stored in your caravan? I would like to grab a bite."
((Oops. xDD *messed it up and then edited it*)) Aimi shook her head, "No food with us. We're camping gear." She was glad that she'd get to spend some time with Lamen, watching her settle into the wagon. "I've not really seen any one myself, you're the first person I know that I've come across today. But how do I surprise you by being here?" After all, it was a chance to see more pokemon and it could lead her to her dream.(Back!!!)

Ha. For once, the umbreon’s blindness was apparently a help, since it kept him ignorant of the wagon’s confines. Then again… then again, Con didn’t believe, for a second, that his friend was truly ignorant of it. Ryou could easily have seen it from the eyes of his trainer, or perhaps that arcanine. And, even without sight, he would find a way to explore his surroundings. It wasn’t as if either of them had used sight a whole lot down in the mines anyway. Hm… come to think of it, the last time Con had allowed his friend to relax on his back had been in the mines, to help the smaller umbreon out after a day of slavery.
Yes, I remember. I think we had cause then. I mean, we weren’t actually trying to hurt anyone… we just wanted them to stay away, for their own safety. Actually… as Con remembered it, Ryou had been the one who actually attacked. And it wasn’t even a real attack. He had merely possessed someone’s mind, in an effort to drive the others away. That was hardly an attack at all!
Really.
Ha! I’ve got slightly more dignity than that, Ryou. I wouldn’t roll over for anything less than steak. And even then it would be a close thing. Actually, he was trying to get me to roll over earlier… something about me herding mareep.

((Diane, we usually ride a wagon but we're out leading the Tauros and scouting ahead now ^^; )) Camping Site After a long day of traveling and surprises, the wagons finally arrive at Nine's berry garden. The trainer pulled out a SECOND megaphone from her bag to make one final announcement for the day.
"This is our campsite. It's my pokemon's berry garden and most wild pokemon know it's her territory, so they'll stay away. You're free to take berres but DON'T TAKE TOO MANY (or Nine will iron tail your arse)!
"You can get sleeping bags and blankets from wagon four and some food from wagons two and three. DO NOT leave your food out and do not litter or Nine will be very mad at you."
At that moment, Nine burst out of Luna's pokeball. She sent a glare at all the trainers before disappearing to the inner areas of the berry garden to water her berries. But there was no doubt the black and white ninetales would be keeping a good watch on all the trainers.
The trainer turned off the mike, jumped off Prince, dismissed her pokemon to do as he wished, and soon fell over on a comfortable bush. The trainer was fast asleep within five minutes.
((You can read about Nine's berry garden in the main thread on the map of Zatao))

Renekai smiled and jumped off the wagon. "What a day... Luna must've been pooped, they way she just keeled over..." Renekai wandered over to wagon four and got a blanket and sleeping bag. Once Renekai had claimed her own small spot to sleep in, she let Bell out. "You can restock a few of your berries here, I guess, Bell," Renekai yawned, snuggling into her sleeping bag.
Bell blinked. Having taken a good long nap, she was ready to stay up late. Meandering around the garden, Bell made a selection or two of berries, making sure that she left the best ones to drop seeds and regrow, and not taking as many as would bother Nine. Bell happened to be close to expert on berry care, though she had never grown her own garden. Bell prized berries just as much as Nine did, for at times that was all that Bell had to eat. But that was in the wild... Here, Bell always had enough to eat. Bell put all her berries in her bag for safekeeping. On a dangerous journey like this, one could never have enough preparations.

Jumping off of Aura, Jen gently dismissed the Arcanine to do what she pleased before grabbing and enlarging all of the occupied pokeballs on her belt. With a grin, Jen threw them all into the air and watched as all her pokemon came out with a burst of white light.
Landing infront of their trainer, they blinked and looked around. A Garden? What was this place?
"Guys, this is Nine's berry garden. Feel free to do what you wish but make sure NOT to destroy anything or over-eat any of the berries. Nine is not fun to be around when she's mad. Okay?"
They all nodded.
"Okay! Get on outta here! SHOO! Go and get some exercise!" She made a shooing motion with both hands before flopping down near where Luna was sleeping.
Ace instantly flew over and grasped one of the branches over their heads, wings folded against his body as amber eyes stared at the two-leggers laying beneath him. Aman was quietly muching on some Chesto berries nearby while Aeon, being self competitive, was stuffing Cheri berry after Cheri berry into his mouth despite the fact that his eyes were starting to water. Aura was barking and rolling around in a bare patch of dirt like a small puppy while Demyx splashed about in the lake near his fire-type friend. Abiba, on the other hand, was sitting in her trainers' lap. She watched with concern as Jen rolled the unknown syringe inbetween her fingers for a second before stuffing it back into her bag.
"Chu chu?" "Huh? Oh, im fine, Abi...don't worry about it anymore." A hand ruffled the fur on her head and she gave a happy "Pika!" before giggling at her father. Poor Aeon had stuffed one too many of the spicy berries into his mouth and was now running around in circles, yelling about needing water.

The dark-type flicked an ear as he recalled days long past, and he snorted a bit. "(Yes, I remember now. My memory's a little fuzzy, I suppose. Too much chocolate cake and ham,)" he chuckled. Yes, he remembered possessing Jen's mind, remembered why they were hostile towards the group of humans. No, Isamu had attacked them, if he remembered correctly; yes, probably. He couldn't remember, and it wasn't exactly the happiest memory anyway.
He was pulled from his thoughts with a chuckle as the pale houndoom mentioned rolling over and herding mareep. "(Sounds like tons of fun, Con. I think you'd do great herding mareep,)" he snickered. "(My trainer knows better than to try any of that crap with me, thankfully. He does have me battle on occasion, and I don't mind it all that much. I was dragged into doing a pathetic contest once. Ugh. Never again..)" He muttered, laying his ears back for a few moments as he recalled the ridiculous outfit he had to wear, courtesy of Luna.
Upon arriving in the garden, Ryou allowed his eyes to glow blue once more as he surveyed it quickly with Con's eyes, and after dropping the sight he trotted off to a patch of sweet berries, he wasn't sure what kind they were. He pulled one off a branch and munched on it thoughtfully, figuring he'd get most of his dinner here, as he wasn't sure what Kazuki had in store.
Basil bounded over towards Aura, completely forgetting that Kazuki was still on his back, and when the canine leaped over a large patch of bushes, the short trainer tumbled backwards off his pokemon's back and landed with a dull thud. "Owww...."
Basil didn't seem to notice, as he was busy racing towards Aura before crashing into her, barking loudly and wagging his tail. Manami, hearing the fuss somehow and even more curious, smelling all the berries, forcefully emerged from her pokeball and bounded as fast and as graceful as she could towards some bushes. "Dewgong!!"

Meeka looked out at the garden, still riding on Ebba. "Ya hungry buddy?" she asked, staring down at Ebba from his antler. "I could could make ya some Pecha preservatives if you are able to find some." Meeka got off of Ebba. "Go search around buddy and find some, Imma get some pots and pans." Meeka headed straight back towards the the wagons as Ebba headed the opposite direction. Nosing himself around, he looked for the berry he liked the most.
