Sonia blinked as he held onto her hand, squeezing it as she looked up at him when he spoke. She sensed his own discomfort that now came to the surface. She sighed before he spoke again, watching him. She nodded a bit as she understood what he said, but stopped as the last part confused her. She thought about it for a moment before smiling as she started up at him.
I'd say go back to the one you love, whether it hurts me or not.

"If you said that," he said in the same quiet tone, "Then I'd tell you that you are the one I love." And again it was true. "Love makes every instant you spend with the one you care for perfect, and makes everything else miserable." He would have explained it to her, but he simply didn't want to.
"Relax," he said, and then he clutched her hand in both of his. "Everything will be fine. I promise."

Sonia smiled a bit as she heard every word he said, as they repeated in her mind, her eyes kept lighting up more and more before she softly pressed her index finger to his lips, making a quiet shhing sound. She moved her finger away, kissing his lips as she understood, she pulled away slowly, holding onto him as she closed her eyes, listening to his heart beat.

He gently held her until he was sure she was asleep, then laced one arm under her knees and gently picked her up. It wouldn't do for her to wake up on a rock. He'd figure out where her dorm room was, somehow, and take her there.
It was time for him to sleep, after all-- he needed the time to think.

Vain's body seemed to materialize from thin air as he made his way from X Realm to the real world. He looked around at the forest, his eyes, though showing a serene calmness, were empty. They held no truth in them, nor life. He cracked his neck a little and began speaking to himself. "What an unproductful bit of research. I found absolutely nothing on the 'Legacy of the Dragon's Kin'. I'm beginning to wonder if Tatsu made all that up... or if it was some kind of well-kept secret."
Vain sighed as he brought his right arm up and began to push a series of buttons on Deviate's interface. When he was done, a katana materialized from the air, floating in place until Vain grabbed it. "I guess I should work on my training. And what good aplace as any as a well populated forest? I'm sure at least one woodland creature will die..."
The plate on Vain's cheek opened up, revealing the Brand of Kasaru."It seems as though the people at Ria have much higher levels of skill than normal people... training without the Brand would be fruitless." The brand began to glow as Vain's body seemed to begin to distort, his voice becoming more and more shaky. "Yuck, I hate the feeling of darkness. It's just to... ecstatic..."
Vain's eyes began to shift back and forth, focusing on different animals around him. 1232 ants, 7 flies, a squirrel, and 3 birds... If I can't kill them all in half a second, then I'll have to kill even more things in a quarter of a second. Vain's body suddenly flickered, followed by three bird squawks and a very loud squeak. Vain smiled to himself and said, "Heh, perfect.... I still haven't lost my touch."

Two dark figures sat on the highest tree tops, the tips of their ears over the blowing leaves, one yellow the other black. Ribbons of red hair and green whipped in the air. Like the cracks of a whip of flesh, four glowing orbs, two blood red,the others a bright green, liek emeralds and ruby's.
It was so silent,as if the whole forest was holding its breath, like it was scared if they made a sound something dreadful would happen. Maybe as much as just happened the previous night. The sun was rising ever so slowly, like it was annoyed being having to wake up.
You see a smile tucked at the corners of rosy red lips on the tanned face of Joy, Ria high's most hyper,naive,adorable...innocent Cat girl. But it seems that she was getting exposed in more ways Joy even couldn't have nightmare's about.
Ella had a face of stone,as she looked through the layers of leaves, that turned the faintest green, the light begun to shine through, her eyes squinted. So much trouble..thank God for that stupid High Priest as Joy called him "Kuri-chan",though it seemed like Joy didn't want to anger him,so she called him by his real name she supposed "Kurai" it was.He wasn't as useless as she thought. Atleast he didn't let Joy kill herself..for what ever reasons, she didn't care about anything but keeping Joy alive..which meant her being alive.
Joy touched the corner of her eye,it was cut,the cat girl drew back her clawed hand to look at the drops of blood. It was like that, staring, for what seemed like an eternity. Her staring at the blood, reflecting the colour in her eyes. "Im so stupid..I've forgotten that contract...with Ai-y, I wonder what happened...during the beggining I felt a terrible pain, double time..was that her own? "
Ella looked at her "..."Not speaking, she knew Joy was going to continue, she always did when she talked properly, her voice was the whispers of flutes..so soft, ligth as a feather, being carried off into the wind.
"I tried to use light one time Remeber Ella? I soon lost it..it..it..hurt so much every time,I didn't know why. But I had no other way to protect the one's I cared for..So I took the pain down, and bottled it up tight like my feelings. " Joy looked at Ella, the movement making her hair flow to cover the half of her tanned face face, that guilty smile, like a child who had got caught by her mother when she had made a mess.
"Then..you came, your my personal messenger, bounded together..we can't be touched by the light,no matter how I resist the darkness..though you don't. We never could..resist the evil, the sin,the darkness..we can't resist ourselves. .....we're the very thing,evil..the very thing..spawn of Satan, the devil precious second daughters.." Ella wasn't as disturbed with the blood, and from who it came, that she carried in her very veins. "And so what is your point baka? So what..its not like humans aren't totally good..they've massacared so many seemingly innocent people kileld their own familes over money, fame, assianted, put wars on other countries, their tainted, not so like us...but they have a little part..though different amounts..they do. So what if "God" dosen't forgive us..screw his mercy on us..we don't have souls to begin with that could be forgiven and sent to salvation..."
Joy looked out to the rising sun, pink and orange hues making ligth dance in her emotionless eyes, what treasures, secerts, did they hold under that protective sheild?" Im not looking for that...I just want..to pay back the people I've caused pain..the whole world..even if i have nothing to offer..no soul..I'll try.."
Ella looked up at the sun,her eyes closed, finally a breeze went by,blowing back they're glistening hair, and the fur on their neko ears, like very threads of the finest vevlet. "Just don't get us killed.."

The leaves rustled and brushed against one another as the young man's heavy footsteps rushed through the forest. His figure eventually became more clear, more visible, and showed he was brandishing his eccentric long sword. His run soon slowed to a walk before coming to a stop. The sword fell to his side, its tip almost touching the ground as the young man's eyes shifted about the area. He seemed...confused, actually...confused and inquisitive about what was going on. There of course was nothing for him to find in the forest, even as deep as he may have been...yet still he felt a presence. Perhaps his paranoia had taken his senses and drove him to this place, then again perhaps whatever he felt was no longer actually here. He gripped tightly against his cloak using his left hand, gritting his teeth. "God damn it...what am I doing here? I must be stupid or crazy to be comin' all the way out here just like that..." he thought to himself as he walked to a nearby tree in front of him. With an inaudible sigh he placed his hand against the bark and leaned against it. "As if completely spacing out in the hospital wasn't bad enough... what the hell is going on?." his head lowered, and his eyes closed.
"I coulda sworn...but how? No...I'm just being stupid..." he sighed again, bringing his head up. He set his eyes onto what little of the sky he could see through the trees. The sun's few rays of light caught his eye, and he quickly turned away rubbing it. "Well this is crap...boring as hell and paranoiad to boot. Maybe I should just forget about it, probably just my imagination again. I just...probably need some sleep..." he turned the opposite direction and looked out through the forest, then nodded to himself. "...yeah, that's right. Just forget about it Yusake...no point to worrying about fairy tale critters you'll never see again..." he brought his head down once more while turning slowly. It was at the moment he turned did his eyes widen when they saw a figure covered by the darkness of the forest. "N...N-No..." he almost became pale. Slowly, his head lifted to see the large, ominous figure still shadowed by the darkness. His metal arm began to twitch, and his entire body shook. "No..." he grit his teeth, and his eyes became narrow.
Something was suddenly taking over Yusake, his reasoning...his demeanor changing within a flash. When the silluotte turned toward him, the force of its mere movement causing the trees and grass to sway, its attention was taken by a terrible roar. Yusake screamed out in sudden, inexplicable anger as he bend his knees down. A sudden rush of power, of light came over him as a pair of white flames burst from under his cloak. The flames took the form of wings, and he leaped into the air just as an appendage came down. The ground burst open by the force of whatever struck at Yusake, though it missed. He flew into the air, still shouting with all his fury. He raised his sword, ready to strike the creature down but moments before another appendage flew by him. He barely went under that only to get struck up close when he neared the creature...perhaps its own head ramming him. Yusake was pushed back a good distance before balancing himself and landing on his feet. He didn't care that his sword had been flung out of his hand, nor did he try to find it. Instead he leaped into the air, raising high above the trees. The same white, beautiful flames surrounded his arm as it opened in several points. The winged man came down at the creature, an immense, though thoughtless rush at its head. He thrust his fist against it in a move he had called Buster Shot many times before...though this time Yusake had not shouted its name out as before.
He stopped, his fist pressed firmly against the darkened, immensely sized creature. The ground around it shook by the force of the attack, cracks breaking and the leaves spreading from the beast in a circle. Seemingly unphazed, the creature pushes its head against Yusake. He's shoved back, falling down to the ground and easily landing on his feet. A grin forms on his face as he turns, grabbing his sword before his skid stops, then looking up at the creature. A trail of blood can be seen running down its forehead where the punch impacted, and Yusake was once more showing his great deal of confidence. But that confidence fled the moment a flash of memory hit Yusake, and he recalled a single bit of what this blood meant. Soon, light came down and shined against this creature's head...a large, oblong, white head which was probably twice the size of Yusake. There was absolutely no hair on the smoothened, leathery flesh of the creature. Its mouth probably made up half of the head's size, with extensively long, almost blade like teeth. On either side of its head were a pair of multi-segmented eyes. The eyes themselves were completely black, and each segment had a dulled, gray white pupil within it. The pupils continuesly shifted and moved, much as if the creature were looking in every direction at once. But this was a false presentation...for soon the reason for this bleeding revealed itself.
Slowly, the cut in the flesh where the blood trickled from began to open. The wound widened, and eventually opened into an oval shape. A smoothened, black gem came from the oval like shape of the still bleeding, opened wound. Suddenly, its head jerked back as it roared. A high pitched squeel filled the forest and carried far, far beyond it. The squeel soon turned into a garbled, choked sound, then into a deepened roar. The trees surrounding the creature snapped, fell away and its entire form revealed. A creature at well over twenty feet in height with an enormous, humanoid upper body. Many large, powerful muscles made this creature's body up with throbbing veins found in several places. Its two front legs, or rather its arms, were thick and misproportioned with its body...far longer and larger then what they should have been for the torso which supported it. They too were comprised of powerful muscles with many veins. Black, smoothened spikes extended from the elbows, wrists, and biceps of the creature. The bicep spikes were of varying lengths and different, almost randomized places. Its hands were almost impossible to see, covered by many, many thick tendrils that grew from its wrists. These tendrils made the hands look much like the paws of a shaggy dog, actually. Under these were long, slender fingers with grooved claws at the end.
The tendrils themselves were deadly, comprised of many small, grooved, needle like razor spines that barely poked through the flesh of the tendrils. From the creature's back protruded a pair of large, arachnid like legs which merely hang, bent like a spider's legs yet seemed to be limp, with ends that resembled a grab's claw slightly. The entire white beast's lower section thinned out compared to the upper body. Its hind legs were almost exactly like the hind legs of a cricket, bend back, though not as slender. The legs were actually comprised of thick, scale like plates and whit spikes near the feet. The feet themselves had curved, black nail claws at the ends of them, the feet themselves two-toed. Finally, the end of the creature was a very long, plated white tail. The tail ended in a thick bush of hair that resembled the end of a horse's tail. Only, at the end of this tail, past the hair, was a large...spear head shaped blade made out of metal. Yusake was nearly paralyzed upon seeing this creature, stepping slowly back away from it. His eyes were like orbs now, no longer holding anger but now an insense fear of the massive beast which stood before him on all fours.

Kat kept running in the forest, she had lost sight of Yusake and was scared of being lost in the thick forest that surrounded her, she was even unsure of how deep she was in or how long she had been running. She stopped running to bend over, hands on her knees and arms shaking as she took some deep breaths, her back still ached from before and it made it difficult for her to get enough air for running this fast. Her orange hair fell over her face and eyes as she rested for a moment, not caring anymore if Yusake only got further and further away, she just needed alittle rest. Her head snapped up at a sound, it was unclear but still rang between the trees and made her eyes widen in fear as she shakilly straightened herself. More roaring and crashing, smashing and vieries of other sounds rang towards her as she took a single step back, her mind signeling and screaming for her to run but she now felt rooted to the spot, her green eyes staring on in fear into the darkness. What's going on? What's happening? What's making that sound? What's destroying things? Questions filled her mind before one stayed. Is Yusake alright? She may not know the an very well, heck, he even gave her the creeps but she couldn't bare the thought of someone being injured when she could help, in some way, even if she didn't know how. She closed her eyes for a moment, breathing deeply to calm herself before breaking into a run again, heading towards the sounds while swiping low branches out of her way as they tried to hit her, almost like the trees themselves were against her for some unknown reason.

Scytheress had been perched quite a distance from Yusake and this beast, resting upon a branch and letting the faux-peace soothe her. She'd decided to take a break from stalking Maru for a while seeing as she was getting no where with him, but make no mistake she'd return to her placent following soon enough.
Her ears pricked forward, her senses highly active picking up on the energy signatures as they fluctuated with the interaction. It wasn't until the rolling roar did the fox-elf make a move. The force of the creature's change bent the tree she resided in but did not break it like the others in the distance. Scytheress cursed loudly as she twisted to grip the branch tightly and soon flung herself to the ground in a low crouched position.
As the wave of energy died down Scytheress made herway forward, jumping from tree trunk to tree trunk, digging her clawed hands and feet into the bark as she went until she could see Yusake in the midst of the fallen trees. Looking up from the boy her gaze fell on the beast that had drawn her attention initially, and by mere sight the fox-elf took a few involutary steps backwards.

With another varied roaring screetch, it swiped its right claw at Yusake sideways within seconds. The swiping claw was more like a blur then anything else, cutting past at least seven trees. Yusake was fortunate, barely leaping above its wake of destruction. The tree's were not so lucky as they fell, the bark almost liquified and torn to pieces where the claw cut past them. Yusake roared again, charing energy into the metal of his arm once more while turning. But it was with this turn that he became distracted...distracted by the sight of at least three others now present in the forest where he was. His eyes went wide before nearly being caught by the creature's claw again, this time thrusting at him. He dived to avoid it, but was caught when the creature swung its massive arm downward. Yusake barely caught himself as the creature's tail dove from above its back and down at Yusake. The blade missed, driving into the ground and almost instantly being pulled out before it was slashed sideways, cutting across five more trees without even a hint of slowing down. Landing near Michio, Yusake glanced back with a scowl.
"Idiot! What the hell are you doing?! What the hell are any of you doing?! Run! Get away as far as you can! You don't know what the hell this thing can do!" the roar came as the creature rushed them. Yusake's eyes widened as it sent both claws down, slamming them forward. Yusake dashed back and flew into the air once more, moving above the tree's again. He saw a circular shaped wave created by the dust, as well as the rumbling earth...as for miles ahead, tree's were uprooted by the force of the creature's hands being slammed into the ground. The earth, shaking, would cause others standing on it to actually stumble and fall much like a quake. But still...Yusake was unsure what had happened to Scy or Michio from the attack.

The quake knocks Michio down on the ground, but he gets back, "I won't leave, if you don't know what it can, then you need help to fight it!" Michio creates a ball of fire in one of his hands, "It's time to see what it can do!" He tosses the ball on the ground infront of hisself, runs, jumps over it. The sphere explodes whilst he is above it, launching him forward at the beast.

"All I wanted was a bit of peace. Geeze is there no place safe around here"? Scytheress, as the flurry of attacks were driven at Yusake, dashed forward and grabbed a outstretched falling branch and used it to swing around under it. She was thrown high into the air, piercing the tree-tops and the blue skies. She spun and then somersaulted backwards to an up-right position in hte air as her wing shot from her back and in a sweeping beat carried her even higher into the air.
All ten wings beat in unison, sending a strong down-draft on the trees below. Her breaths were deep and labored, her actions to get her where she was currently were from instinct, her mind had frozen in panic but now began to thaw. She saw Yusake hovering below her a bit of a distance away. She ran a ran through her hair and laid her ears flat against her head. She had no love for the loud-mouthed boy, nor any other the others below her, but it seemed she'd been swpt into this endevour all the same. She let her wings go lax and she fell closer to the decimated ground, haulting level with Yusake."Hey, kid! What the hell is going on?!"

Kat used her hearing to find them, as the sounds grew louder she assumed she was getting closer. She entered a clearing not far from the creature, looking around as some broken trees infront of her in a slight shock before letting her gaze drift upwards at the monster. Suddenly the huge cloud oif dust blinded her as she coughed to clear her lungs, taking the chance to dash forwards into the shelter of the broken trees. What to do? What to do? What to do? She repeated over and over in her mind. She stared fearfully up at the creature before trying to see Yusake, seeing him up in the air she wondered again if he was alright. Trying to keep herself hidden - though it was hard with her colour hair - she moved between the uprooted trees, closer to the battle and hoped she could be of some hope as her ears rang with a loud buzzing which drowned out Yusake's voice but she could still hear the monster.

Shien grumbled slightly as he pulled himself out of the debris of several trees and a good couple pounds of now-mulch. He was covered in chips of wood and grass, and looked to be highly annoyed. He stood up slowly, dusting himself off best he could, and made sure Snowfault was still tied to his waist and not laying off somewhere, and then reached down and pulled a crushed cigarette from the pile. His faced turned into a scowl for a moment, then he sighed.
He shook his head and flicked it away, then turned to the general direction of the creature "Had to ruin a perfectly good smoke, didn't you?" and reached into his pocket for another cigarette. As he did, he began to take a few steps towards the creature, then stopped as he fished out a lighter as well. He lit the cigarette, tossed the lighter behind him, out of lighter fluid, and for once got a good look at the thing. His eyes widened, his jaw dropped to the point it looked like his cigarette was going to fall out and he went slightly pale.
He regained his composure as quickly as one could expect, and he placed his hand on the hilt of Snowfault and drew it slowly. He didn't go into a combat stance, or even raise his sword. He let it sit at his side, staring towards the creature. He looked thoughtful for a moment, then raised it slowly, pointing it edge first towards the creature. He didn't seem to want to move quite yet, but even as he stood still the magic of Snowfault began to take effect. The air chilled, like winter had come quite early, and a strong, cold gust began to blow through the area. It felt oddly angry, but then again it was reacting to Shien's mood through Snowfault.
He showed the first signs of anything offensive since he got back up. He began to spin Snowfault slowly with one hand, gaining little speed with each complete rotation, then abruptly he stopped mid-spin and swung from right to left in the creature's direction. A thin 'wave' of razor-sharp ice crystals and cutting wind shot forth towards the creature from the blade. As the wave flew, Shien began the process of shrugging off his trenchcoat, letting it fall onto the pile of trees he'd pulled himself from. He watched the wave fly at a good speed towards the creature, and waited.
