"Damn... SeeDs, destroy the armory, head for the hills. We can't hold." Haiiro and a group quickly rig a time bomb then run like hell with the others... they scatter, but all head for the same place... eventually.

Zell, the crippled and defeated SeeD started crawling slowly past the Quad, he was lucky he was near the hills, it was time to retreat, Garden was finished. Zell had let them down, Students where killed, SeeDs killed and everyone was suffer, they would lose in the end. Zell looked around as he moved up the nearby hill towards a mountain cave that had been dug out awhile back by monsters and other beasts, it was terrible how they had to run away from there home, there home they had failed to protect. It seemed others still where fighting, some Students had already evacuated, mostly the junior classmen and afew SeeD escorts, Zell wouldent let the same thing happen twice though. He rose slowly and limped forward up the hill to the closest cave where he found a group of junior classmen and a injured SeeD, the woman had fought off a large group of Geezards that dug through the rock. He slumped forward and placed a hand to the womans chest and let the Cura spell wash over the young lady before moving over to a nearby wall and laying there, it was over for them now, they would be hunted because they had failed to protect there home, would Balamb be next? Would his parents be put in lockdown and killed?
" ... I'm sorry ... damnit " Zell passed out from his wounds, he had used his last Cura spell to heal the woman but he was luckly strong enough to deal with the wounds, he just needed time to heal.
( Pull back while you have a chance, I'm doing this now because, well, I'm dead tired! )

What's left at the front are disabled, and those that aren't make a grave mistake. They attack Alger, which incurs the wrath of Aya. They don't even get that close before the man swiftly strikes them down or chops their throats. The brave die, the wise survive that run. Ubel, wearing his own mask, limps in, grunting..against those running, he holds out a hand, activating his Doom command, one unfortunate young girl caught in a black burst, that leaves her body shrivelled and dried, as if it had been dead for years..that one will be hell to bring back. He finishes up with a Lv. 5 Death, only a few falling, as it's sort of a chancy technique and very selective..but that's enough. The rest who haven't escaped or stayed to fight, Alger orders detained..he'll entertain himself with them later..one way or another.

Chris narrowed his eyes at the sight of the woman, and reached for his OICW. His hand slapped empty side. Mentally smacking himself, he remembered that he'd lost it in the reflecting pool. Damn shame. Only one in Garden. But such a reason was why he packed secondaries.
His Desert Eagles came out in his hands, loaded up with .50-caliber exploding-tip bullets. They'd put a damper in anyone's day who got tagged by one.
Rising up to his feet, he charged out of the bushes, Desert Eagles firing as he came, all the shots in the twin seven-round clips aiming for the woman's form.
(yes, this is what we call a throwback to Detroit. because DEAD Ganale has been the only other incarnation of Ganale to use different types of ammo)

A moment..a flash of the future...a future he cannot accept..and as the soldiers are playing disarm and remove, Alger vanishes into thin air, and forms into being right in front of his charge..the barrier rising up again, as the explsoive rounds impact on said barrier. Now the problem with all this is simple..Alger's barrier isn't truly invulnerable. It HAS a health level of sorts. All that explsoive ammo is enough to tear it down, as well as send shrapnel into his skin deep enough to hurt. Down he goes, temporarily. He grunts, reaching for his shoulder, frowning. Blood. Him..bleed..? That was unforgiveable. But he couldn't think..must have been hit in the head. His hand goes to his head, and he finds blood there too. Damn. Being emotional gets you killed. He'll be fine, just woozy.
He shakes his head, and grabs Kisa, vanishing her and himself into his vehicle..he just grunts..
"Drive. I can't let myself be seen injured by some lucky kid..no matter how good he is. Aya and Ubel will take care of the rest. They won't die easy. Back to the ship. But I'll leave them a present."
He presses a remote activation key, sending the last of the Metal Malboro's bad breath bombs right in the middle of the fighting zone, what's left of it. So his own men eat it. So what? The special ops are protected, and it should disable anyone who tries to get in their way. He has a report to make..and he has to clean his damn suit..

The woman says nothing, her rage there, as fingers grip the wheel of the hummer, going stark white, and she simply drives.

.............................................................................
There was really nothing to say. He ********' had her. Not fair. Goddamn magic of whatever the hell kind that was. Snarling to himself, he went over and picked up the RPG he'd found discarded in the bushes, then spent the next two minutes meticulously attaching to the rocket warhead the biggest charge he still had on him; a big bruiser that had the equivalent destructive power of 50 pounds of C4. Big ******** bang.
After securely attaching the charge, he stepped out into the middle of the walkway, ironically enough, exactly where the woman had been. Slowly, he hefted the launcher onto his shoulder, staring through the sight at the poisoned Garden. He knew there were still allies inside, and he regretted that he would be the cause of their death, but none of it mattered. All that mattered was inflicting as much damage on the enemy as possible.
A tear escaping from the corner of his eye, he squeezed down the trigger, sending the makeshift ******** streaking into Garden. Its course was erratic, as could be expected from a normally-streamlined weapon having a large bomb strapped to its side, but it flew straight enough.
It crashed full-on into the central elevator pillar and exploded, the blast roughly two-thirds as powerful as the one earlier that had destroyed the front wall of Garden. He didn't care how many died in the makeshift RPG's explosion, all he knew was that a lot died.
Dropping the empty launcher to the ground, he went over to where Seifer laid in a heap, and pulled the gunblade specialist up, carrying him off toward the mountains and safety.

"SeeDs, get our wounded..." The group gets any SeeD with vitals on it's way out... The Armory exploded violently, sending shrapnel into the air and redecorating the Garden in a hideous post-modern motif...

Out of the 100 man unit in Garden, about 44 are left now. a little under half. Aya and Ubel..well..if they survived the blasts they're nowhere in sight...but the damage is extensive. It will take a lot of rebuilding to turn this into a proper Galbadian base..but with the information they take both from the students, and the databanks if they survived..they'll have a trove. All units are spread out, radioing back and forth to keep in contact. Backup will be here in hours..if they can hold this position and there are no counterattacks within that time, the Garden is secure, and in posseion of the army..even if they couldnt' capture the Armory.

Alger walks around the occupied territory, watching as Ubel goes over the total losses. He's got Aya on recon and Kisa doing the reports to the main base for now. He lifts his comm unit as it goes off, and presses the send button..
"Sigwald speaking. Report."
there's static..and a voice coming through..muffled..he listens idly to the report that's given..that the gunblader, the leader of SeeD, supposedly, had killed all of the men in Timber..he listens with extreme calm, then again hits the send button..
"That's truly a pity. Send recompense to the families of the dead men and let them know that their husbands, brothers, fathers and sons died while fighting the threat to the world that is SeeD..and the Galbadian High Command is personally handling the matter of those who would threaten our way of life. Thank you soldier."
He sets the unit down..smiling quietly to himself. The threat to the world that is SeeD..that was a good one. Where did he come up with this stuff? PR with the Military would rise..that was good. For now he was overseeing the remodeling and rebuilding of his new base..Neo-Balamb as he liked to call it. He nods to himself..he had the Guardian perched on the roof..if anyone came in range of its scanners..well..they'd get the hurtin' put on them.

The group of them were near the base, and had taken down a route that had allowed the lot of them to remain hidden. Part of them had weapons at the ready, most of them had sacks to carry the food in. They would grab whatever water they could, but hopefully it would rain further back up in the mountains, and that would take care of that. He grunted quietly, and held one hand up in a fist, bringing the others to a hault.
He settled back, and did a few quick adjustements on his gun, sticking it out through some underbrush, in its sniper mode, aiming for one of the passing soldiers heads. Draw them in, ambush them. These were basic bucketheads patrolling outside. They'd probably be too stupid to sound the alarm first.
He murmured to the man nearest him.
"You're certain their losses had been heavily cut the night of the attack?"

Chris crouches near the back of the raiding party, he and Ele'sear having assigned themselves the duty of rear guard for this offensive. He had realized a bit too late that there was no such thing as silencers for weapons as obtrusive as the Desert Eagles, especially ones modified such as his.
He isn't worried about that, however. He has Ele'sear to protect him, and he's no pushover when unarmed, either. He's capable of ripping out any of a plethora of unarmed combat finishers at the drop of a hat.
Up near the front, he barely hears the whispered reply to their leader in the affirmative that yes, a large number of the enemy's forces had been wiped out the night of the invasion.
"Yeah... Saw to that m'self."
"With a lot of help from me."
Chris looks to his left, where Ele'sear crouches silently and motionlessly on the side of the path. She isn't looking at him, but does have a smirk on her face. Smiling, he leans over and nudges her with his elbow.
In response, she looks over at him, then reaches over and ruffles his hair with her right hand. She smiles at him, squeezes his shoulder, then brushes her hand over the sickle clipped to her side, assuring herself of its continued presence. Many would fall to it today.

The rifle was settled, and he took careful aim, before the soft sound of a pop was heard in the bushes, the bullet splitting into the soldiers throat, as he dropped to the ground. With the one soldier taken out, and the other steadily, and stupidly, as he'd predicted, approaching the bush, he gave a soft motion of his hand, two of the SeeD immediately behind him grabbing the guy as he approached the bush, and two more going out to drag the soldier who'd been gunned down, towards the shrubbery.
He remained in a crouch, watching for any who'd approach the two retrieving the body. If he knew Alger, and he thought he did, this wouldn't be an easy in, easy out, but it would at least cut a quarter out of their reinforcements, and give the kids up in the mountain what they needed until Squall intercepted his message, and arrived.
As the body was dragged back into the brush, and the second of the two soldiers was knocked out, and tied, he turned to the group.
"I need two volunteers, somewhat tall, male. You're going to be decoys, and report in.. these two should be heading around Garden, and you'll have to run to catch up. We'll make certain to.. 'ambush' you on the way back out... Do not try any bravery today folks. This is for supplies only."
