Celebor steered Lin towards the playroom, where he could hear children's voices origination the moment he stepped into the house, and he smiled widely when he saw the boy in question playing with Saki.

"Roydon," he called out, "can you come here a moment, please? There's someone that I would like you to meet."

He smiled down at Lin, watching her eagerly.

Roydon was having a lot of fun playing with Saki, but his boldness had given the rest of the children courage, and many of them were trying to play with her now, too. Since he knew that they also deserved some time with her, he scooted backwards, then jumped to his feet and made hisway quickly over to Lin and Celebor.

"Hi," he said brightly to Lin, not even waiting for Celebor to introduce them. "I'm Roydon! You look like Donovan, is he your ada?"

He paused a moment, measuring himself against Lin.

"You're about the same size as my sister," he grinned - though he wasn't exactly sure why he had pointed it out.

Lin didn't know how his sister was, but it didn't bother to too much. She was the size of young elven children at the moment.

She nodded though at his question, "Yes, he is actually."

Celebor smiled and put one hand on Lin's shoulder.

"I'll let you two chat," he murmured to the children, "I'm going to go upstairs and catch some sleep. I'll see you both when I wake up again."

And with that he waved at the two of them and headed out of the room.

Roydon waved at Celebor as he left and called out cheerfully, "Bye, Celebor!"

Once the teen was gone, he turned back to Lin, grinning widely. "Your ada is very strange for a human, but he's really nice. I like him. He's not like the other humans here at all, not at all. I bet he's really nice at home, too, right?"

"Bye bye!" Lin waved to Celebor as she watched him go before turning to Roydon.

She had to be admit that was kind of an odd question, but only to her it would when she really thought about it.

"Of course he is, otherwise Mommy wouldn't have married him."

Roydon grinned widely. "That's good," he told Lin. "Sometimes people are different when they're with different people, but they're not the really good people to be around sometimes. Except sometimes it's good. Like Celebor, he wasn't nice to the people that had me and my sister but he was really nice to us. That's a good thing, because those people were really bad people, they took us away from Mama and Ada, but your ada is really good because he wants to take us back to our homes."

He paused for a breath, then looked at Lin funnily.

"What's your name?" he asked her. "You didn't say."

Lin blinked and wondered if she chattered that much. It was quite possible as she did like to talk to people. Somehow it was a question she didn't think she would want to ask in the future.

"Lin, that's my name," she finally replied deciding it wasn't worth pointing out that he didn't give her time to say her name.

"Lin," the boy repeated to himself softly; then he tilted his head thoughtfully and repeated it again, a bit more loudly: "Lin."

He smile at her. "That's a really pretty name." And then, remembering what he had been taught when he was little, he bowed at the waist and held one hand out in front of him, towards her.

"I'm very happy to meet you, Lin," he said formally; and a moment later he straightened once again, grinning widely.

Lin giggled and bowed in return like the way she had learnt from her mother.

"I'm glad to meet you too Roydon," she smiled, "It's always good to meet new people."

Roydon grinned. "Yeah, I like meeting new people," he agreed. "Ada says it's good, too, because you can .."

He paused, trying to remember how his father always said it.

"Something about horizons, anyways," he dismissed the thought with a wave of his hand. "But I don't know if he might have been talking about boats, he builds ships."

He grinned. "We live at the ocean, we can go swimming and see the beach and everything from where we live!"

Lin had never really gone swimming, something she realized she had never decided to learn. That would be bad if you wanted to sailing.

"I've never swam before... but then again I've never seen the ocean before."

"You should go sometime!" Roydon exclaimed entusiastically. "It's so much fun! And you can sta top of the water and splash and have fun or you can swim under the water and you can make things in the sand ... there's all kinds of fun things that you can do at th ocean!"

He grinned. "Ada says he's going to teach me how to build ships, then when I'm bigger I can go sailing just like he used to before he met Mama! I think it will be the most fun thing in the world!"

Lin had developed an acute interest about the subject of ships, especially coming from a boy like her who wanted to sail.

"Did your Daddy sail far?" Lin asked curiously, "Are you?"

"I don't know," Roydon admitted. "Ada says he went to all sort of places, but I dont know where they are so I don't know if they were really far away or not. But I want to go everywhere my Ada went, or even new places sometimes, and see what there is out there! I always wanted to see more of the Four Lands too but now I did, I'm all the way up here, so I want to see what's outside the Four Lands, too."

He grinned. "When I was little, Ada always told me the stories of Earendil the mariner, I want to be just like him!"
