Nightmare looked at Isa then down at the crotch of his jeans "nope, no reaction."
After seeing a trailer for Fern Gulley and some clips of Dragon Age: Origins, the more I'm inclined to think that Paul would be more animal like than plant like.

Yeah, the blade can bend, but that doesn't change the fact that thrusting is the one and only thing that the rapier is made to do. Nothing else. Blades can bend and blades can break; that's normal wear. You're comparing the intended use of the weapon, which is something that might slightly alter it after consecutive uses, to using the blade for something that it wasn't made to do, an action that's not only idiotic and has the guarantee of snapping the blade off the first time you try and rendering it completely useless even if you did get smacked in the head hard enough to start using it the right way, but one that's completely avoidable.
Paul is the alternate universe male Pam isn't he, Haur?

Nightmare groaned and squirmed against Isabella "you're heavier than you look and she's fine, crazy as usual but fine."
Paul is Ivy's male version... I just thought it'd be weird for a man to consider himself the equal to mother nature... or father nature if that's the case.
I could easily do that, hun, but I don't want to hurt Stray's feelings or hurt him physically.

Please, if you would, review that exchange and tell me who it is being the wiseass, who it is being a smartass. There was nothing condescending or threatening about displaying a picture. There was nothing insulting about the way I brought this fact to light.
If Eric is going to behave like a child then I will continue to treat him like a child, and I don't need you or anyone else to inform me where or when I need to stop. I'm quite capable of maintaining composure all on my own. Your interruption only exacerbates the situation, because you attempt to render my point moot by reducing my argument to 'oh, you're just being a know-it-all', and there's nothing more frustrating.
To be quite honest, I really don't care whether or not Eric knows next to nothing about swords and refuses to actually do the research, despite the fact that his character is supposed to be some master swordsman. I posted the picture to show what the rapier looks like, so maybe he'd see how silly that action was, but it wasn't a provocation of any sort. There's nothing demeaning or threatening in the way I did it.
As in every other situation, this was brought about from me responding to Eric's provocation. Now maybe you could argue that I should have just completely ignored him. Yes, ignoring him completely would have certainly averted this situation. But to lay the blame even partly on my shoulders is frankly insulting.
Eric is the child on the monkeybars that thinks he's the king of the world. Ordinarily that's fine, he can play all he wants. But when he starts hurling insults I'm gonna climb my a** up there and push him off. I'm not going to be his doormat.
He's spoiled, and you're the one who spoils him. He never has to validate himself when he has you to fight his battles, he never has to even pretend he's wrong when he can call on you to come and say we're both wrong. Because if he has to be wrong, he wants me to be wrong too.

. . . That really didn't require a monologue, Stray. I was being playful and you made it sound like I'm bashing you in. I'm not. But you take things way too seriously sometimes. You don't need to analyze every little thing. Eric researches different things when he NEEDS it for something coming up.
You were pushing a non-issue to the point that it became an issue. It came across as you acting like a know-it-all. If he had made that statement in the RP, yes, then you could have brought it up. But this is the OC, and you being a stickler over a very tiny discrepancy is just as frustrating. I am not blaming you entirely. Eric KNOWS not to egg on these situations, and when he does, its just as frustrating for me. It's something we're still working on.
And me protecting him is, frankly, none of your business. I would appreciate if you refrained on commenting on it in the future. I love him, and I'm trying to keep tensions low for his sake. There's s**t going on in our lives that you don't know about. My actions pertaining to Eric are not yours to analyze and break down. I may spoil him, but that's not for you to judge. Edge shrugged "this is why I'm the master of blades and you are not." Turning around, he threw the rapier like a dark, skewering through the delimbed straw dummy and pinning it to the wall, as he went to retreive his sword, he winked at Isabella.
Which reminds me. Ivy, if you hate Edge so much, you need to talk to Stray since he in part created him.
Nightmare wrapped his tail around Isabella and lifted her off his lap.

Isabella arched an eyebrow at Edge and put her attention back to Nightmare. She chuckled when he tried to pull her off. "Come now, Precious. I'm just having a bit of sport with you." She pinched his cheek. "You're still a bit too young for me."
Ivy casually flipped through her newspaper. "Who?"
Me: *steals Isabella's seat on Nightmare's lap, eatting a pudding cup*

As far as you know Stray. You asked dark about making a character that was like "a Green Arrow with guns". Dark shot that idea down, and that got me think on the idea of someone who is on par with Deadshot and Green Arrow in terms of how good they are with one type of weapon. And that was how Edge was initially created.
