Lilygwen Zacheriah Neoson How about some herbal Honey Tea? *Smiles as he gets a teapot out and sets to work with the drink. Before long, he comes out with a nice piping hot mug of the drink.* gaia_nitemareleft Aah, splendid! *sips from the cup with delight* I've read an article some where that honey actually has antibiotic effect so that's why I've been drinking lots of tea with honey recently. smile gaia_angelright Never knew that, I was just using my mothers old recipe *Chuckles a bit and returns to his own hard drink*

Zacheriah Neoson Officer Hot-Pants You're back! And you're the 10,000 poster! If you weren't the owner and/or an employee, I think you'd be up for some sort of prize, or something! Congratulations! biggrin *Grumbles lightly while downing his drink before sighing a bit* Thanks, Hot Pants, and Happy Belated Birthday. Sorry to have missed the fun. *waves off* S'alright, s'alright; I missed it too. mrgreen

Lemonade? Hard cider? 3nodding "How about Hard Lemonade? I have some pre-made in the back that I've been letting age a little." Heading into the back, he takes a moment before coming out with a large jug steaming cold full of the spiked lemonade and, setting it in the middle of a circle of glasses on a tray, carries it to the table "It has been slow, but that's summer for you. August is prime time for getting last minute vacations and preparing for school or the busy season."

I prefer not getting banned from gaia for making jokes about things I like hard.
So I won't.
Though I could go for a pot of strong coffee right now. I have not slept much in three days, have been going through a lot of stress and abuse, and have been going on fumes for a while now.

gaia_nitemareleft Out of curiosity, what is hard cider? I googled it and the concept baffles me. So cider in the US can be non-alcoholic apple juice? *scratches her head* ... I think you would be baffled of all the ciders we have here. Of course, if we would start to debate about the technicalities, then majority our stuff shouldn't be called as ciders. gaia_angelright

I'd imagine it probably goes back to the era of prohibition. Before that, I'm pretty sure cider was more or less exclusively alcoholic. Of course, I'm not exactly an expert on booze...

gaia_nitemareleft I suppose it's also bit about how popular it is. In Finland it's very popular. We have massive amounts of variety in flavors etc, but if you go to for example Denmark and ask for a cider in a bar the bartender looks at you oddly and then after a while they manage to find and dust off a bottle from back of some shelf or something. xd gaia_angelright

I love cider, so I can relate. I don't drink though, so I'm kinda limited in variety.

Of course, I'm not exactly an expert on booze... I'm no expert either but I'd tend to agree. Back when refrigerated storage was more scarce I'm pretty sure the alcoholic varieties would stay unspoiled for a lot longer.

Weclome back Lady Cam. Haven't had to a chance to say it yet. It's... quiet without you around, it seems.
